Lily you had me in tears when you said every day is just as hard as the one before it. I know exactly how you feel! I lost my 10 month old granddaughter last November to SIDS and I have cried every single day and the pain has never ceased that baby was my joy here in this miserable town and during my miserable marriage. She was the only person that adored me when I needed it most! I wish I could tell you it will get easier but it is literally the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Live through this loss. If I allow myself to think about how she was so girly and so sweet, or how she sucked her upper lip like a pacifier it will put me down for days. I’m now divorced because my husband couldn’t take my grieving. I said I can’t be married to you and grieve my grand baby. Both are demanding and exhausting and I will only survive one not both. I can’t bring her back to life so I guess her grief wins. It was just finalized Friday afternoon. We needed to be divorced ten years ago but we were complacent. My friend said “it’s sad that the baby had to die before you would leave him”. She’s so right

Lilly, I know your mom is with Jesus, but look around you; The shapes of your child’s eyes, some of their demeanors, the way they carry themselves, and possibly even their laughs, your mom is a part of those beautiful children. Look at them through your heart, you will see your mom lives on through them. I know she’s in heaven, but she’s also all around you through your beautiful children.

@@12bucklemyshoe177The heart does what it does…it was traumatic for Lily to lose her mom whom she loved in more ways that she thought. It takes time. Going through trauma is a difficult process.
She’s extremely lucky that she has Nam and San i Win to help take over responsibilities of the house and children…they are like extended family and the children love them like family too. I can’t imagine how hard it would be on the kids if not for them. I’m sure they don’t under her constant crying and her not being there for them emotionally …they’re just kids. And the culture in Thailand is different, however Kid’s shouldn’t be constantly aware that Grandma died…it probably scares them and puts more stress on them. They just don’t look at it from their mom’s point of view. Let’s hope Lily is able to grieve on her time AND be able to take care of the needs of her kids and her amazing husband who held the fort down and still is, from the time of Gi Gi’s illness until her death. It’s a rough journey for all…not just her.

Her life was RICH and FULL! ❤ not one moment was wasted. Gigi was an inspiration to us all, as how to embrace life and squeeze every ounce of goodness out of it. ❤

Lily, my nana died when I was 17. I'm 58 now and not a day goes by that I don't think of her and miss her dearly. Some people just make a bigger impact on our lives than others, and that is why it is hard to live life without them. She was a beautiful example of unconditional love. My parents were not examples of that, so I credit my nana for helping me to understand how to be a good mother myself. Without her 17 years of unconditional love for me, and the experience of missing her love, my own children would not have been as loved as they have been. I used to be so afraid of death, but as I have gotten older and now find myself fighting cancer, I do not feel any fear because I am so happy that I am closer to some day being with her again. Your grief is a testament to the love you and your mother had for each other and that you can now pour into your children. 💕

All of us have lost close family members…it is part of living. My mom was older but she passed in February. She had a heart attack right in front of me and it was very traumatic to see. They couldn’t revive her and in her condition she was definitely better off. I went to see her every day and really miss talking with her. Children shouldn’t be asked over and over if they miss someone who has died. Kids move on quickly and that is good thing. Please just engage with your children and husband…that is what your mom would want. She wouldn’t want you to keep grieving over her. I can see your daughter wants your attention as well as Leon…that should be where your energy should be…not grieving….your mom wouldn’t want it. You will always miss her but don’t miss out on your children’s lives…life is so short and flys by quickly. Take care!

I lost mine when I was 8 and my sister was 4. We never had her in our lives. Now you need to remember you have your children, love them, enjoy them. They grow very fast, life is too short. Your mom would be sad to see you crying for her all the time. She wants you to be happy and remember the good times🥰

Lilly trust me, I know your pain. Lost my mom at age 27. The sad part is not even one day on Earth is guaranteed. You were so busy traveling to the US...Luke got to spend a lot of time with you. However, the two younger children spent a lot of time without you. Lila is bonded with Nam, but now its time to focus on bonding with your own daughter. ❤ Life is a series of unexpected Hellos and Untimely Goodbyes. 😢 its still too soon to think you wont cry. Grief is a process that takes yrs, but does get easier with the passage of time. ❤ its okay to take a break and focus on your kids and your husband ....trailblazing would just be a distraction right now. What you need is to relish in the love of your personal lil family. That is healing. The world can wait for you to trailblaze. Slow it all down and get much needed rest and relaxation Lilly. You deserve it. ❤

Lilly, This is beautiful. It DOES get better. I lost my sister-in-law and then 2 weeks later my precious older sister. 4 months later I lost my mother. I then lost my sweet baby sister and then 2 months later, my best friend. Most recently I lost my niece. They were all young and although I don't understand all of it, I am so grateful for the time I had with them and for their part in my life. Ive had so many people ask or say they don't know how I'm doing it. I see my loved ones in everything and it's beautiful. I'm still here and I know just how short life really is. I'll be with them all again and I think knowing that is what keeps me going and living my best life. I don't want to spend too much time grieving because it's time I can spend living and laughing. I'll be there soon enough as we all will. It's gets better Lilly. What you're feeling is so normal right now... When we lose someone so close to us it changes the entire dynamic of our lives and how we've always lived. It's a huge adjustment that will come in time. You're doing really well Lilly. Myself and SO many others love you. XOXO

Lilly, Seattle , WA here, I am so very sorry for you and the loss of your mom. You two were amazingly close and partners in life. There was nothing odd about your closeness to your mom, it was a blessing and once in a lifetime relationships. I cannot imagine the profund loss you feel. From experience grief is a beast. My dad passed in 12/2020, that first year was miserable and I felt empty and numb and like you said, I felt like part of me died with him. The grief stays with you all the years of your life, but as the years pass, the grief is not as intense and its easier to get through life. I prayed for you watching your video that God will help you through the hardest year of your life. Your husband and your kids and Nam, its all nice distractions while you grieve, and give yourself those days to really cry hard to get it out. Praying for you and Chloe and George. I am so very very sorry. Wendy

“I’ve been following your channel for such a long time, and I just wanted to take a moment to say how deeply sorry I am for your loss. Your mom was such a warm and wonderful presence in your videos, and I could see how much she meant to you. It’s clear how much love you shared, and that always shone through.
I recently had to take a break from TH-cam as I went through my own treatment, and when I came back, I learned the heartbreaking news. Please know that my thoughts are with you during this incredibly difficult time.
Your strength and openness have always been so inspiring to me. In fact, your content encouraged me to start my own TH-cam channel recently. I’ll never forget the sense of connection and community you created here, and I hope I can build something just as meaningful in my own small way.
Sending you all my love and gratitude.”

My Mom is still alive, so is my dad, both in their 90's. Both parents did not care for me or my sibling and still don't. They hardly ever met my children. Most childhood memoires with them are painful . It's been challenging to have two narcissictic parents all along. I guess I will not grieve them when they pass, but I will always grieve not having loving parents. I have no idea what it feels like to be loved like Gigi loved you all. I was always admiring your relationship with her and her beautiful soul. I can only imagine how painful it must be to have her gone and I am so sorry for your loss Lily. 😪

My hearts breaks for you, Chloe & family over the loss of MiMi. It’s been 3 years since I lost my Mom, Winnie. I still go to call her with a question & then remember…I think of her & cry & the pain is actually physical. My Mom was a traditional Mom, she cooked, made afghan blankets for all the grandchildren. Her “ Joy” was her family & every holiday was with my Mom… both you & Chloe said it best…” you have a new life now” with your Mom in your heart & soul. That is how I manage…” a new life” with my 8 grandchildren…my friends & some neighbors but my Mom will be in my heart forever…God Bless! 🙏

I still to this day want to pick up the phone and just talk to her, seek her advice or just hear her voice. It does get a little easier but I always try to remember how long she was with us. Our moms are our beginning of life, the middle of our life and our grownup life. We will see each other one day. It is ok to cry, to grieve give yourself time ❣️

My dad passed away 4 years ago at the age of 70 and after a few months of grieving, I had a huge smile on my face because I knew my dad for 70 years and enjoyed his presence. We had happy times and I felt lucky to enjoy my time with him. Plus you no longer have to feel the pain of her suffering, you know she is with God and smiling down on you. It may seem sad but that is the wrong way to look at it. Instead smile and be thankful that you had the great times with her and that you didn't lose her when you were super young like some people unfortunately have to experience. Gigi made it to a good age in her late 60s and lived a happy life and inspired us all with her fashion business. That is something to smile about. Then look at your children - you will always see Gigi in their soul and through them, she lives on.

Dear Lily , I sympathize with you and your pain, my precious daughter died 8 years ago suddenly with a heart condition that we weren’t aware of, she was 38 and had 2 little girls age 8 and 9 . A big part of me died with her. 2 years later my Irish twin sister died of ALS. I started turning to God. Last year my husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on June 2 and passed on July 31. I never knew the strength I had to watch the love of my life of 37 years suffer. I feel so lonely and sad. I keep thinking of all the blessings I have. I thank God for the precious time I had with my loved ones. I cry when I need to because the memories just make me wish I had more. You never get over it , I just try to get through it moment by moment. Sending you love and hugs and prayers

Awe Lilly, I'm so sorry you are going through this pain. Give yourself time. Time always heals pain. Just give time, TIME. Let your body and spirit get over this greaving. Remember, Gigi would want you all to move on, and she looks over you all. Hold on to Jesus because He will give you Gigis hugs and He will gives her your hugs. Thanks for the new video. Making new memories with you're family. Greetings Melinda🎉

Lilly thank you for making video’s even though you are grieving. It’s lovely to see all of you. My Mum passed at age 33 (as a result of a car accident) at Christmas time. I was 15 and my two sisters were 13 and 9. It changed us & affected our lives, choices & direction profoundly. I think Gigi also passed too young & too soon. The loss is immeasurable. Please trust that you will all be reunited. We all are just inhabiting earthly bodies that are finite. I think it’s wonderful you know what your Mom would want you to do. Her own life & her personal outlook on life now serves as a beacon for her children. And even for us You Tube viewers! Gigi imparted words of wisdom many times throughout yours & Chloe’s video’s. Even cooking insights.. her life insights would seep through there too. I’m 55 and soon will start my own food business. Gigi is a huge inspiration to me as a business woman. Let’s thank God for her bright, bold and courageous life here on earth, her Southern feminine charm & charisma & her generous loving spirit. Viewers like myself will miss her a lot but we are blessed to have lots of video’s to rewatch. Time will truly ease the rawness of your grief. Your loss is immense. Be as patient and as gentle as you can with yourself. Take comfort in any support you get because sometimes people have no one when they lose immediate family. Think “what would Mom do?” if you are ever tangled up in your own mind & stuck. Continuing to pray for you Lilly & the whole family. I hope George is ok, please send him our love too. ❤

It is super that u have a spa there with saunas and steam room etc. I love to sweat and it is important to not wear makeup as u can imagine how it melts into ur pores. Best to go in with a clean face. Also, it easier to endure the heat when not having a lot to eat before hand.. My goodness, Leon looks so much like his Granmother, Gigi! Sweet to see. She was a doll. Zawian (SP) has added some red to his dark hair. He is such a good, and fun loving big brother to ur children. Yall are so blessed to have him and Nam as part of ur family.

I lost my mom when I was 32 years old. We spent the last month of her life at the beach in Ocean City Maryland. It took me so long regain myself. I gave birth to my 4th child after her death. Not having my Mom here to meet him and love him was a truly a difficult time. Grief is a journey that takes whatever time it takes you. My Mom’s day she passed away is coming up and it will be 29 years on September 13th. It still hits me hard especially on that day. I pray for the grace of God to help you through your grieving process. ❤

Lilly its only been 35 days, give yourself time to grieve. Go with the flow, ride the waves as they come, and they will come (sometimes at the most unexpected times) . No one can tell you how to grieve or how long to grieve, its a very individual experience. But also allow yourself to experience the joy that still remains in your life - dont feel guilty when you do have those joyful moments. No matter how long it takes, it will get easier. One day you will wake up an feel this lightness in your heart and all that will remain will be those beautiful memories of the time you spent with your Mom which no one and nothing can take away. Hugs from SA 🤗

Dear Lilly, I lost my mom to cancer when I was 40, she was 63. I counted the days I hadn’t seen her until I got into the thousands. I didn’t have a relationship with my dad. I was so bitter I even wished he had gone first. I know that’s not nice but I was so upset, she had become my best friend and in 10 months she was gone. I also miss Gigi and was shocked to hear about her diagnosis, I never in a million years expected this horrible loss. I am also a Christian and that’s how I made it through the loss. I was depressed and had to quit working for 6 months, it will get better in time.
At least you have Wat, the children, Nam and her son. You are a wonderful mother and human being.
God bless you and your little family. I have been to Thailand but not where you are located, I loved it and miss it. You are so very lucky, you have so much to be thankful for even in grief.
    Love from Florida
    Maybe someday we’ll meet.
    Cindy

I’m so sorry for your loss Lilly, I would suggest reading On Grief and Grieving by Elizabeth Kübler-Ross, she was a pioneer in near-death studies, and author of the internationally best-selling book, On Death and Dying (1969), where she first discussed her theory of the five stages of grief. This book helped be greatly when I lost my dear father.

My mom passed away in 2014. I remember it was like a nightmare i just wanted to wake up from. But through ALOT of prayer and fasting over the span of 10 years, God truly has delivered me completely from the pain and grief. I know many people say "you never get over it", but this truly was not my reality. I am at complete peace with my mom no longer being alive on this earth. I know we all deal with grief differently and this was just my experience. Jesus truly did take away the sting of death from me
