It's hard to say. Tomei only has confirmed compatibility on the newer turbo cars. You may want to check on the forums to see what some of those guys are using manifold wise. If they can use a WRX or STI manifold there is a higher chance this one will work. Thanks.
Good day RallySport I got some questions: - Will this fit to my 98 WRX ? Should I have to find the GC version of the header or 04-07 will fit ? - How can I fit the Tomei titanium exhaust system to my GC8 ? Is it that hard ? And which downpipe to use with ? Any help will appreciated.
these unequal length manifold fit with the oem oil pan right? it's the equal length manifolds that require an aftermarket oil pan? I heard this, but just asking here if anyone could prove it wrong.
Rolando Loeb if you care about performance, efficiency and reliability you would go with equal length. Turbo spools faster and harder with equal length manifolds and makes more peak power. One guy I know made 25 whp and a massive 50 wtq gain just by switching to EL’s. Boost also came on around 750 rpm earlier and hits with more of a strong shove. If you ask me equal length is the no-brainer choice. Keeps the exhaust air temps down and ups performance by a significant enough margin for the same $ as a aftermarket unequal length manifold. The “classic rumble” is a “fake” noise, there’s a d17 em2 Civic in my area with a custom unequal length manifold that sounds like a Subaru lol. As a engineer, I think UEL’s are a stupid design, but due to the nature of my job, I’m more focused on efficiency/performance... if you put a thermocouple on all 4 cylinders you would notice the bank with the longer runners significantly hotter then the side with shorter runners. That means more wear and tear on that side of the engine. Before you know it, with Subaru’s poor stock tune, it’s leans and and you burn a piston ring out. Want a reliable EJ, equal length manifold, air/oil separator, aftermarket oil cooler and a quality pro tune/e tune will lessen the chances of bigger problems down the road...
Can anyone answer me if the ets rotated kit w/ uppipe fits this tomei header? Wanna keep the boxer rumble. If not possible I'll just look into the killer b rotated diy instead.
Heat in regards to the heat going into the turbine or hotside of the turbo. Heat is energy(we're going to ignore pulse energy and all that stuff here for simplicity), and the more energy you can put on the turbine, the more energy you're going to transmit to the impeller or cold side of the turbo. Now in an ideal world, you would have 100% of the exhaust energy going directly into the hotside of the turbo, and the cold side would provide boost pressures at sub-ambient temperatures, but with any setup there are energy losses everywhere. But you are correct when talking about the cold side of the system, the more heat you have, the more excited the molecules become and they want to repel from eachother which reduces the overall pressure. I think we're both on the same page, just a mis-understanding of how i phrased it. :) Thanks, Rick
@@rallysportdirect noted, thanks, let me research some more, yesterday i installed xjapan used tomei uel headers and i dont like it at all,the car is louder than usual but thats not the problem low end torque is gone,i have to over rev to attain speeds which i was attaining at lets say 3k rpm,i had also to widen atleast 4 holes out six inorder to fit,the upipe is also Short i installed a spacer at the base of the uppipe, this wked am reinstalling the stock uel headers, lastly my mpg has dropped though i have done a proper calculation, bottom line its not worth the struggle to install these dual pipe uel headers

The Tomei Header just looks like my RCM Header.
That’s because the RCM header is a rebadged tomei header.
@@OggaDugga really? Where do you got this information?
Iron Love the design alone gives it away. Tomei created it and multiple companies have copied it
Header/Uppipe are even better in person
great product, great company, great customer service! I buy all my subaru parts for my 05 sti and 08
awesome product, sounds great on my bugeye. PITA reaching one of the bolts connecting the up-pipe to the headers though.
a piece of art, how much will does it cost?
Hi there!! Where can I listen to its sound??? Maybe someone knows....
Then it is a no brainer. If you love the sound, stick with an unequal design. Unless you are in the 500hp+ range unequal is not going to hurt.
what if im at 420 hp and dont ever plan on being over 450? UEL still ok?
@@moza1956 of you haven't got an answer yet. You don't NEED it but it wouldn't hurt to have
Yes this should fit the GC8.
Yes.

Going to order this with cobb stage 2 kit when i get my wrx.
Same high quality more....it makes it more higher of quality each time you say it.
It helps.
Has tomei made an UEL exhaust manifold for the 2013 STi hatch?
so why buy this unequl lenghth? Just asking because I love the boxer sound and want to keep it
Question sir will this headers fit my 2019 sti? I have ewg grimmspeed already thank sir

Isn't ceramic coating better for holding the heat then the tape?
Yes
What if i fitted or made unequal ones to another car?
Do u guys make equal length header for 02 wrx?
Will this fit for 2016 wrx new boxer engine?
Has anyone got the upPipe custom fabbed for a ewg setup? thats the only thing holding me back from purchasing this kit
Thanks what would the to and hp increases
my god thats awesome
yeah... gotta love those high quality vinyl stickers...how much you getting payed to do this?
Honestly, probably way too much.
Rick
HAHA thats fucking great
I heard with extreme power, you need equal length
Anyone know how many feet the wrap is?
will this fit a EJ20 of my GC8?
What its best unequal length or equal length this came with ceramic its ceramic header...btw check u mic

The tomei kit says for my 2013 wrx the subframe will need slight modification to allow for clearance, could you specify what that means exactly?
Alright, thank you!
+rallysportdirect HI Rallysport! I installed these a couple months back on my 2013 WRX and I didn't see any clearance issue. Maybe something I missed?
I have a grimmspeed 3-bolt vband 44mm ewg kit, will the kit fit this header? thanks
+Alvin De la Cruz You bet, the 3-bolt uppipe will match up perfectly with the Tomei manifold.
Thanks,
Rick
Hey! Would this work on a JDM 99 GC8 WRX?
Can anyone answer me if the ets rotated kit w/ uppipe fits this tomei header? Wanna keep the boxer rumble. If not possible I'll just look into the killer b rotated diy instead.
I doubt it, looks like they use the factory style 2-bolt flange, where the Tomei uses a 3-bolt design.
Thanks,
Rick
hey is it for single scroll or twin
This is for single scroll. If you need a twin scroll, let us know and we can get those as well :)
Thanks,
Rick
Jeez hasn't seen you with the hair. Shocking lol
I've been thinking about growing it back out.... probably a bad idea LOL.
Thanks,
Rick
Noice!!!!!!!
You are wrong, heat decreases boost ,it does not increase boost
