With Quest 3 update 67 (which is live right now) you're able to detach windows like in the apple vision pro. You just need to enable it in the experimental settings.
And still apps like Lapz only exists on Vision Pro. So it's already have advantages, not to mention the 4k disney+ or AppleTV streaming (even 3D movie streams) meanwhile Quest only have 1080p, if you make a huge cinema display, the quality difference is even more visible.
I had the Quest 2 and upgraded to the Quest 3 and oh my god it's life-changing. As for the Vision Pro, the Quest 3 has better app support, more functionality, better price tag, and overall I think it's more convenient and has more of a purpose for using it. If I had gotten a Vision Pro, I would probably have gotten buyer's remorse over not spending the money on a MacBook pro for productivity. I wouldn't be able to play any of my VR games on pc because everything is controlled with hand gestures. For the price tag, I think controllers should have been included with the Vision Pro for the potential use of applications such as Virtual Desktop, etc... I would also be too afraid to take it anywhere because of how expensive it is, which would further reduce the convenience and usability of the device. I think the Vision Pro is a well-engineered proof-of-concept, but when it comes to function and affordability, the Quest 3 wins in all aspects except for mixed reality which might work better on the Vision Pro.
Looks like the quest 3 Videos are made some Updates ago. With the new Systemupdate the UI Windows are detachable , and the passthrough quality is increased immensly , the warping is almost gone :)
I appreciate your comparison, but as a Quest 3 owner, cost to feature ratio is dramatically in Meta's favor. Vision pro is nice, but cannot justify it's cost.
Same. I’ve used both. The Vision Pro is nice and high res, but if you want to stay busy with fun stuff to do, quest is where it’s at. As much as eye tracking seems cool, i absolutely love the quest 3 controllers
My Quest 3 doesn't have warping as my pass through has been updated and I've tried the Vision Pro and its OK but it suffers from a lack of AAA software like the Quest 3 has as it has Mixed Reality games and apps and also VR games and apps also and I am usibg the v67 software so I can a total of 6 screens and you not using the v67 updated software as many things you have said have been fixed so you must have a old version of the software for your Quest 3 and having used both headsets and owning both the Quest 3 and the PSVR2 the Apple Vision Pro is not worth the money I would pay 1000 for the headset and I think Apple just didn't understand that the mass market will not pay that for a headset they would pay 500-600 and I also have the ability to use the Vision Pro's UI on my Quest 3 using a app called the Spatial App and I can even watch Apple TV+ on it and my Quest 3 can be used with my PC and both my Mac computers and the Apple Vision Pro does use WebXR so it's useless
I own Vision Pro and share it with my family. You’re incorrect about the hassles of sharing the AVP because we don’t need to take out the shield when we switch.

I wouldn't take the AVP even if it was free. Even as someone who's super into VR and hopes it'll reach Ready Player One levels of tech one day, I absolutely despise that product. The fact that you can't even customize your "persona" on the AVP to make it look exactly how you want is the ultimate dealbreaker for me. It just pisses me off how it HAS to be based on your real face. Seriously, I'm ugly asf and wanna be able to escape that by using VR. The Quest 3 though on the other hand, allows you to choose literally everything about how your avatar looks. You can be as hot and pretty of a girl as you want, which is the biggest reason I even use the Quest in the first place, ngl. While I do feel like the Meta avatars are a bit too cartoonish, I'll still take them over the restrictive personas on the AVP anyday. Until Apple gives us full customization over our avatar appearances like Meta, I will never, EVER put my hands anywhere near the pos AVP
Its nice to see common sense is becoming more common...AVP is an overpriced paperweight...Apple's 1st mistake was using glass and aluminum...though it has some cool features and functionality, its severely lacking in software... I have been saying since OG Quest, that mobile chips/ARM architecture is the way to go...its more flexible and and their is already existing infrastructure to support development...its also cost effective...Quest has been proving my point for years now, but Meta is in the way...hopefully more examples like Pico, Pimax Portal, and Nolo VR will appear and give us a diverse android6dofvr market of HMDs/VR/XR products...
Quest 3 suffers from blooming/glare the pancake lens are trash and meta has poor quality control I'm on my second headset the first one was so much glare / blooming it was unbearable so I took it back and got a second one the same problem and I'm pass my best buy warranty now I gotta deal with sending back ti meta only to get a refurbished one so I'm gonna keep it and deal with the glare/ blooming the pancake lens suffer from

Quest 3 is the best bang for the bucks. Quest 3 is more widely adopted headset which means more apps, upgrades, games, functionality and ecosystem.
