    Wayne, thank you so much for this video! You are a great TH-cam presenter, and you did a fantastic job with all of this! I love that you took the time to show all of the steps and not rush anything. Not only have you supported me in finding a way to fix a broken ornament from this past Christmas but you helped me repair something that is really important to me. It's an old ornament from 1983 of Kermit the frog that my grandmother gave me, when I was a child. The head and arm of it broke off and I was pretty upset about it this past December. Happy to say I fixed it, and it looks great again. That epoxy is amazing. We had a low humidity this past week in Illinois, but boy it got cold. 8-) The epoxy does seem to do better in lower humidity, as I read about that too. Well, thanks again Wayne, subscribed and I will definitely be back for more helpful diy videos. Always good to save money, thanks again!

    Thank you well done. I’ve glided my plate it came out fine but I made sure I put in enough glue but how do I clean the dried epoxy off the plate? Thank you.

      It would have been best to clean it off before it cured completely. You should be able to scrape off the excess with a razer blade. Good luck with your project and have a great day.

    Sure would have liked seeing a close up of the repair after to see how it a actually turned out? And YES, camera needed to be much closer to your subject and hands!

    Thanks for the video, I was wondering what would be a good epoxy to use on ceramic, I bought a bonsai pot on the internet and it arrived broken. Seller was good and refunded for the broken one but I couldn't bring myself to throw away the pieces if there was a chance I could glue them back together into something workable. Seems like this is the solution!

      Hello Sarra, I think this epoxy will work very well for you. Just take your time and don't apply too much. Good luck with your project and have a great day.

    Hi thank you for this helpful video. Would this method also work for terracotta decorations? We recently broke a Jack O Lantern that was originally made by the Comanche Pottery company in 1979. I think it's terracotta, but I'm pretty sure it's not ceramic. Thanks again!

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It should, but I've never tried it on terracotta. If you try it, leave a comment and let me know how it worked. Thank you for visiting and have a great day.

    Hi is this glue food safe and heat resistant? I have a ceramic cooking pot that recently broke and I really want to salvage it. Is there a specific glue for food safe and heat resistant wears?

      I don't have an answer to your question but would suggest calling JB Weld. I have had customers in the past say good things about their support and I feel sure they could answer your question. Thank you for visiting and have a great day.

    Wayne is this product non-yellowing? I just broke the handle of a small white ironstone ladle and don't want the repair to yellow over time.

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Karen, I can't say. On the item we repaired the glue was not visible. Some epoxies will yellow over time if exposed to sunlight. If not exposed to sunlight I think there is a good chance it will not but I can't say for sure. Good luck with your project and have a great day.

    Nice video but I think you should have done the repair as a close up so we could see your hands closer and more clearly.

    Do you ever have your epoxy not setup ?

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, It has only happened once or twice but I have had epoxy not get hard but stay tacky. I don't know why, maybe it was old or maybe very high humidity. Thank you for visiting and have a great day.

    What if a piece is missing? Like a finger?

      Hi Maria, maybe you could fashion a finger out of another material and paint it to match. Thanks for visiting our channel. Have a great day.
