One of the things I tend to feel during these long TH-camr to TH-camr conversations is the worry that it's going to get awkward. That Julien is going to run out of questions or Teal is going to run out of things to say. Based on the material you guys talk about in the video, I now realize it's not because of anything in the video, but because of the way I perceive it all. It's because I myself get awkward all the time when I'm talking to people. As soon as I realized it was me and not them, I relaxed and enjoyed the video way more. I just "went into the eye of the storm." Excellent, excellent material guys. Thank you very very much.

I did a Vispasana retreat around 20 years ago - the guide showed us to our dorms - it was un-glamorous - basic and austere - i then thought - " i dont think this is for me!" Then as i proceeded to walk out of the room (and away from the retreat) and as i gazed up above the door - there was a piece of writing that said, " THE GREATEST SUFFERING IS IN AVOIDING SUFFERING"

Wow. I've only watched 5 mins of this but what she's saying is soo true. I had been running from social interactions forever but now that I've been facing those fears, things have been getting so much better. Escaping from my fears by smoking weed, abusing it, using it for the wrong reasons and hiding from the world caused me more anxiety and negative emotions. Wow. Mindblowing.

At about the 17 min mark Teal Swan makes a very important distinction between Feeling good and being good at feeling. When you practice being good at feeling you align with your "soul" and hence can "go down" and allow the "soul" to align with you. Whereas trying to feel good can lead to spiritual bypassing. In my experience these distinctions are discussed by teachers I've worked with in the Trillium / Waking Down school. In the end I think the Integral answer is that you can do BOTH - you can learn to be good at feeling (whole-being realization it is sometimes called) and you can train your awareness to not focus on painful experiences if they don't serve anyone....Thanks so much for the video

there are few people out there with the gift but Teal could break me. When she said about going into the pain, I saw the magic in her eyes. As someone that has struggled with manic depression, there's a point at which gratitude becomes just a fairy dust sprinkled notion and I love the way she addressed that because nothing is more frustrating than just hearing "be happy, be positive, think of how great your life is" when you are in that space. So glad I stumbled upon this video. Thank you Julien for leading me here.

From 16:00 - 16:27, she nailed it! It's actually rather eerie in a way, because that has been the EXACT question I have been struggling with over the last few days: balancing the integration of one's subconscious pain and being present, but also pursuing one's dreams and passions, too. Too good! Thanks to both of you for this. This was really, really, really helpful!

i think i just messed up my account to comment on this but its worth it, both of you have helped me so much and i knew it was only a matter of time untill you guys did videos together, everyone thought i was an idiot when the media scandal went down and i stood up for julien saying hes very spiritual. but i didnt care, i knew the truth would prevail. i really hope she does a video with tyler aswell, im downloading this video to watch. i dont know how to express my excitement for this videos and more like it, my first ever rsd video i came across just over a year ago was tylers video on masculine energy and i was hooked and loved his pickup stuff but always wanted him to edge more to the spiritual side of things, i was deep into alchemy and chaos magic and i could see so many correlation's between the pick up stuff and those ideas. this is truly a godsend, you guys have made my quality of life so much higher, i was so empty and LVE whereas now i feel like im so much on the path to greatness and HVE mastery. SO MUCH LOVE AND GRATIFICATION. TEAL THANK YOU SO MUCH. JULIEN THANK YOU SO MUCH. TYLER THANK YOU SO MUCH. ALL OF RSD. THANK YOU. you are helping the whole planet rise and im so happy to be a small part of it xxx

00:00 🎥 Introduction: Teal Swan's detailed explanations of complex concepts and her calming presence are highly appreciated by viewers.
02:11 🌟 Finding Happiness Internally: Teal Swan emphasizes the importance of addressing internal emptiness rather than seeking external validation or happiness.
05:16 💡 Inspiration vs Escapism: The distinction between seeking inspiration and falling into escapism is crucial for genuine fulfillment.
09:17 🦸 Victim Hero: Recognizing the tendency to adopt a victim mentality and the allure of being a "hero" in one's own narrative.
11:33 🛑 Stop Seeking: External validation or happiness is a temporary fix that leads to dissatisfaction in the long run.
15:10 🌬 Dealing With Pain: Embracing pain rather than resisting it can lead to transformative growth and clarity.
16:28 🔄 Staying In The Good Feeling Space: Teal Swan suggests cultivating non-resistance to feelings, including pain, to achieve genuine alignment and fulfillment.
19:06 ❓ What Does Pain Mean: Understanding that pain itself is neutral; it's the meaning we assign to it that causes distress and fear.
20:24 🧠 Understanding that not everyone will have chemistry with you can relieve the pressure of dating.
21:10 🌱 Spiritual practice is about realizing what you inherently are, not becoming something more.
21:47 🛠 Focus on implementing one spiritual practice consistently rather than overwhelming yourself with many.
22:10 💡 Learning through trial and error is crucial; don't be afraid to start imperfectly.
23:08 💭 Being inspired without taking action is like missing the point; implementation is key.
24:35 🎉 Embrace every experience, even if it's not fun, as part of the journey.
26:12 🤔 Comparison can be beneficial for inspiration but harmful when it leads to self-hate.
29:33 🔍 Accept that there will always be someone "bigger" but focus on your unique value.
31:48 🔄 Comparing yourself to others can sometimes be a way to avoid taking responsibility for your own life.

I call it the social media problem. Everyone is begging everyone else to look at themselves when the reality is, no one is looking at you. Even if you get a ton of likes, everyone who liked it or commented on it is still begging to be looked at. Try to NOT like something or comment on something, it's very hard. That's why when I post something, I just assume no one will look at it because everyone else is so focused on themselves.

This was really great! I love the part especially about being ok with whatever emotions come to mind and not being attached to any one feeling all the time. The last 5 years haven't really been consistently fun for me and I find myself holding to this expectation of what life should be so for me this video really allowed me to let go of having to feel good all the time.

  • @VladimirVerde
    @VladimirVerde 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    1) You have to go into whatever you're trying to escape from. So if you got a state of trying to get something externally because you want completion - there is a state of emptiness within - so the emptiness is there we have to go.
    2) All of the movement towards what they want is essentially a movement to get away from the Cyclon that's following you.
    3) Follow the train of whys, why exactly you want this.
    4) There is no point so you can make yours. We all stuck here - what will make it the most enjoyable experience.
    5) The being only does things which benefits it. You have to acknowledge that the things that causing you pain are actually benefiting you in some way, subconscious way.
    6) How else could I get my goodness. How else can I feel that I'm a good person. Cause if you're in a victim mentality it essentially means that you have to have a bad guy, ego needs a bad guy to exist, so you become surrounded by bad guys for your life because you need it for your ego to exist.
    7) Move towards pain or emotion like to the eye of the cyclone instead of using it to eat donuts.
    8) Have no resistance to the higher and lower vibrations instead of trying to escape lower vibration and pain.
    9) Cultivate the willingness to feel - "I feel pain so it is.", "I feel joy so it is" - thereas you become in alignment with your soul.
    10) Whatever happening is correct.
11)It's ok that we are in different situations.

Thank you, I'm going to have to watch this video several times as I've identified a multiple of things. It's like watching a really talented chef whip together an awesome multi-layered meal. Somehow I've lost track of ingredients, or what to do with them before throwing them in. I almost have to approach each ingredient one at a time.

As a coach myself really liked a moment here:
You see there is the Correct Principle Situation you have to achieve for a correct basic barbell exercise (for example). However the 3rd Person View and Understangin (a.k.a You seeing a correct model being done by another person) IS NOT THE SAME as a 1ST person View and Understanding. So to be a good teacher you have to show the person WHO CANNOT see himself from the outside how to operate and achieve that Correct Principal Situation from HIS OWN 1ST person experience and view!
That is the difference between Spiritual Theory and Real Spiritual Solution.
I mean c'mon if i tell you "Achieve normal levels of lumbal lordosis and throatic kyphosis while being erect" -- wtf are you gonna do EXACTLY? How?
But if i tell you "OPEN your chest ahead and now exhale till you drop those ribs down a bit and tighten that belly while having a SPREAD chest" -- Bingo, now you CAN do it.
This shows the teacher (Teal) knows how to TEACH, not just what needs to be taught.

thanks for making this guys the two of you are awesome. Man I had a realization of myself of the victim mentality which I was thinking for this past week. My life was always about self revealing to greet others with. I am ....and I have Aspegers. People would think above me, which makes me feel victimized and belittle. Now I was watching alot of Moives and Filmmaking courses and what I found intriguing is that there is always a Protagonist and Antagonist. So in saying that people would cheer for the hero and booo the Villian and that is what my life has been like. I'm been trying to find a way to deminish this and I believe that letting go and dig deep will help me get through. it's like vampire is stucking on its own blood or your in a hospital with tubes in your arms being injected. It's almost a metaphor of going through your own withdrawls and your own self is the drug. I know I will become the person that meant to be. ps aspergers is just a label. DONE.

It's really interesting to watch Teal when she's really listening to another person. It's almost like she's doing or noticing or reading a whole lot more than just Juliens words and body language. She's seeing and reading so much more. Like she's going within and around and throughout him while hearing his words.
Very intriguing. Maybe it's because I know she sees something very different from the average person. So her way of reading someone is going to be noticeably different.

Wow this woman is brilliant as far as this goes. She's right you ideally want to take a dissociated perspective of your emotional states, by doing that you can maintain the balance of the pendulum, remaining grounded rather than swinging high and low from the pleasures and pain that the egos manifest.
It all comes down to maintaining focus of the Present moment, not being sucked into the river of constantly changing thoughts and emotions that pull us every which way like a leaf in the wind. We must step outside the current that's carrying us and be here now because time is arbitrary.

At first I was shockingly surprised to see both Teal and Julien. But thinking about it, I'm not really. There's so much spiritual truths in some of Julien's videos, or Owen's, or Max's. There's a video where Max does a beautiful rampage of appreciation Abraham-Hicks style!!! So perfect combination and thank you!!!

Great video. I have watched both of them separately and didn't expect to see them together. I actually think Julien brought out more of Teal's personality in this interview that she doesn't display in her solo videos, where she can come across as a little stiff. In this interview, I was really able to relate to what she was saying.
