JONNY MAY IS THE GOAT OF ALL PIANO TEACHERS! Haha! Thanks for teaching me to improvise despite my skill level being an absolute novice. Never thought I'd be able to improvise and learn cool sounds so early. Your instructions are keeping me coming back. Huge thank you!
You took the words right out of my mouth!.... I'm not really a piano player I'm a guitars for many many years now trying to teach myself piano.... obviously I have rhythm and I know the theory I know scales and chords I'm just trying to transfer everything to the piano and make my fingers do new things and make the left and right hand work together but in a different way than they do on the guitar. Anyway this guy right here piano Johnny in one video with three relatively simple Blues Licks he taught me more and gave more chips maybe without even realizing it just by explaining things with those three simple Blues riffs he gave me more insight and ideas for example you talked about playing different chords over the same simple right hand Blues lick.... and I started thinking about F major 7th and F minor 7th and F diminished and all possibilities different things that I can play the licks over to give it more of a jazzy or rock (or WHATEVER) kind of SOUND !.... Piano Johnny-YOU'RE the BEST, DUDE ! - Johnny- do you think you could SHOW the PIANO INTRO Section, to Nina Simone's "Feelin' Good" ?
I learnt a huge deal more from the 10 day challenge... thank you so very much for these... just curious, how does the fingering change from C, F, G, D which are more or less similar, to A, E etc? Slides are harder.. Also can you do a video on the double and triple turns you keep doing?
Hi, I wish that you had been my teacher 50 years ago, my old teacher would not let me play anything but the Classics, and would hit me with her ruler if I played any improvised notes.

Hi Jonny. Love your videos! - May I ask what program you are using for writing the music?
I use Sibelius!
Wish I could just buy a physical book with all this info. I'm not good at taking courses. How can I just buy the Blues Bible? Is it on Amazon?
In blues or boogie-woogie grace notes are your best friends
