It seems to me that the creatures are previous townspeople. Perhaps all from the same previous generation of the town. Like they all look like they are from the 50’s. And Victor talked about that one set of cars that is beyond the other set of cars that was already there when he got there. And then when the smiley face creature enters the bus, he starts to pretend to drive it as though he remembers something from his previous life. And, of course, Smiley’s autopsy reveals that the monsters have human anatomy.
It's weird, because the townspeople don't seem to be turning into anything, and they're basically always torn apart when the monsters get them. -but there ARE monster children. So, maybe, anyone born inside that place, becomes one of those things. Fatima is also currently pregnant, so, who knows what it will be when it comes out.
@@OpinionParademy theory is what SpookyScarecrow said but, instead of any dead townspeople, it's those that got caught in the "calamity". Iirc everyone but little Victor died in a single night right?
If you look at the school where Kristi lives, you'll see there's a stage set up with lights and rows of chairs facing it. There's old Halloween decorations on the stage. The monsters are all so different- a cowboy, mechanic, milkman, nurse, etc. because THEY'RE WEARING HOMEMADE COSTUMES. Whatever happened in the 50's happened on Halloween at the school and there was a dance- explaining why some monsters are in costume and others- like Jazmine, Smiley and the black debutante are all dressed like it's prom. Some monsters, like the Professor or the Grannie were teachers or chaperones. I think they were all sacrificed to something. I also think Elgin's grandmother was present in that wave- somehow she escaped and, on the nursing home, told Elgin about Fromville. That's why he knows stuff like the Brundels pond. That's my theory, anyway.
I wish I was just discovering the show, lol, that would make the anticipation for season three a lot less intense 🤣 I’m glad you enjoyed it, it really is a great show.
@@treybaybie1526I’m in that position thankfully! I heard about this show maybe 5 or 6 days ago, and when I’m not working or cooking, I’m watching this show. I finished S2 about 2 hours ago, only two days for next season!
@@garowemedia7263 lol bruh, did you even watch that part? that "bug" creature basically attaches itself to you and psychologically haunts you while you're awake and kills you if you sleep. it has the power to manifest physical injuries through your dreams, then when it does finally kill you after all that, it traps your soul in a "dream-like tower" where those bugs live inside your skin feed on your flesh forever, and you can't escape through death. that's much much worse than some slow monsters that want to torture and kill you. at least you get to die.
this show is definitely one of the best shows in a while, it has all: mystery, eerie atmosphere and suspense, i get that people are kind of frustrated with no answers but i like it better that way than when they reveal too much,it kind of kills the mystery that way, i love wondering what will happen next, can't wait for season 3!
My theory is it’s just like Lost. The writers are writing themselves into a corner, making stuff up to keep everyone interested, no answers in the series finale.
They rushed the ending, everything that happened was not answered. And they all lived happily ever after. It was lame. I didn't want to get involved in this either, same writers, they have potential but than mess up the ending
It's basically purgatory. They all are either dead, on life support, comatose, or near death like their last moments and leaping from that lighthouse portal wakes them up/revives them.... This is my assumption
It's labeled as a "Sci-Fi Horror" show. So, my bet is on some sort of malfunctioning or misplaced advanced alien technology. *Any sufficiently advanced technology, would appear as magic to a less developed perspective.* Notice how the town doesn't make much sense? It's all aesthetic and form. They have power, but the wires don't lead to anything. They have livestock, but nobody knows where the animals come from, etc etc. Almost like their human habitat is being emulated, rather than actually replicated. This could be some sort of crashed alien ship, with different biomes and "pocket realities" meant to house a bunch of different species. One of those species: Humans This could be like some sort of highly advanced Noah's Ark. The three lines could be three intersecting pocket realities, which allows the species of those realities to interact. Some alien species have been trapped there a very long time. Others (humans and earth animals) have been wandering into the "anomaly" created by the ship. The real question, to me, is: Who or what was piloting this ship...and is it still alive?
@@OpinionParade interesting theory . Could be something like "The Thing". Maybe the presence there is some extra dimensional or alien sadistic criminal that was being transported or a part of the crew that went insane. That area could be something like a holodeck or danger room simulation or these people could be in stasis and experiencing a matrix type of virtual reality

I had a theory (not the only one) about the monsters being inspired by creatures called Sluagh from Irish/Scottish folklore. It doesn't fit the location nor how the creatures represent themselves but there are a lot of reasons why I feel like they're at least INSPIRED by them. And I believe Sluaghs were said to fly "in from the west" so.. They're a type of fae but fae can actually be pretty evil haha. Sluaghs in particular are known for being restless and malevolent. They gain powers from human souls, especially the souls of those that are dying or sad. They are said to be able to shapeshift into birds, thus they could be the crows watching them during the day. When they are in their human-like form, they are said to appear old, thin, and haggard with long appendages that end in sharp claws, and to have gnarled teeth protruding from a beak-like mouth. They show this form before killing, perhaps using glamour beforehand to appear more human or maybe they were human once upon a time and resume their original human form when they're not attacking. Two main theories sit behind the creation of Sluaghs - 1. They are unrest souls of the dead, specifically people who were exceptionally evil and cruel during their lives ooorrr 2. They're actually a form of fae where something went horribly wrong (think of the falmer living underground in Skyrim being elves or orcs in lord of the rings being corrupted elves). Sluaghs are also often associated with "the wild hunt" and enjoy hunting for pleasure. They can be blocked by windows and doors, and they cannot enter a home unless one is opened for them. They are most active during the night and like to hide in dark forgotten places (ie the caves/tunnels) during the day. I think it's also worth noting that fae in general are "known" to create portals to other worlds/pocket dimensions and enjoy toying with humans. I think them being tied to the fae would also explain things like the faraway trees. It is also said to bring bad fortune to those that cut them down. Maybe the tree in the road is a fallen faraway tree? I'm rewatching season two now so I'm a little fuzzy on certain details but perhaps that's what happened before? The Sluaghs created a portal via faraway tree, the humans cut it down, and sluaghs seek revenge? I don't recall how everyone died when Victor was a child.. if it was the monsters or something else.. so I'm probably way off on that one but eh, figured it was worth mentioning anyway. Buuuuut then whatever happened to Tabitha at the end of season 2 kinda shat on my theory haha. Unless it's just a deeper part of the realm they created. I am curious about what's "worse" in the woods and such - spiders play a role pretty early on but are seen as "inspiring" or "lucky" in Irish/Scottish lore because their web represents "if at first you don't succeed, try try and try again", which is something brought up in conversations several times - is it worth trying something again that has failed before? But I don't know if I'd consider what happened to Boyd lucky.. it gave him options and such but that damned Ballerina scares me. Now my theory is... idk probably is a government experiment haha.
Maybe it's a mixed of many folktale, such as the one you said. Also, there are said to sleep during the day in caverns, so idk if transforming into a bird during the day would apply. But they also might know things, so who and how they know
I think fae makes sense and I too have thought this before fae abduct people to the fae realm in forests usually through portals in trees and fae are also seen in Nordic culture as long ago as Viking times and the protective talismans have elder furthark runes something I noticed as it’s my culture and I have the same rune on their stones on my arm it’s like two X’s on top of each other it’s means protection and gift from god surrounded by the sign for ansaz god of communication typically through Barriers like wind and sound vibrations which makes me think the crow and ravens are super important as they’re typically known to be messengers of the gods communicating through realms also the earliest date we see is 1604 which is interesting as those were trying times for my culture with us constantly being demonised and executed for our practises
nope... both Boyd and Sara made it into the faraway tree. Boyd went first and was transported to the dungeon well, Sara went in right behind him and was transported directly to the church basement in town.
@@3mundi It would be interesting if she got to the church in some other way, but so far that's what we have. Anything else is pure speculation, and the youtuber doesn't even present a different scenario as a theory, he just fails to explain it.
The Boy In White wanted SARAH to enter the Faraway Tree- but instead, she had Boyd go first. I think the Boy wanted HER to pop up in that dry well, not Boyd. She might have handled things very differently.
@@jasoncaldwell5627 nah, the Boy in White communicated with Sarah because she has the ability to hear voices and can communicate through telepathy. He told her that they should both enter the tree to be safe, as the 'place' was angry and pushing back. She let Boyd in first only because Boyd was in bad shape and because otherwise he wouldn't know how to do it since he wasn't the one who got the instructions from the Boy in White.
There is definitely something with the healing rate in this town. Elis gets better real fast (he even has a line about it), Kristi is "surprised" that Boyd's wound isn't infected. Fatima can become pregnant. Reminds me of a certain Locke...
9:24 I also thought it was planned, ... until someone else had another theory : Sara's decision to 'kill the boy' was not only influenced by the prospect of bringing everyone home and the threat against her brother, but also by Kristi's claim that she would do anything - no matter how bad - if it could serve the greater good and allow her to see Marielle again. In the end, it's just irony in all its glory taking the reins of the show : Sara failed to 'kill the boy' and, as a result, her brother died and, to add insult to the injury, guess who got her wish, despite feeling so bad for her answer and not physically doing anything ? That's right : Kristi can see Marielle again, despite not being the one to try to 'kill the boy', but she feels terrible about the consequences of her careless answer and, just to go the extra mile, she's not even half as happy as she wants to be with Marielle, because she's an unreliable morphine addict who complicates her already difficult life.
I'm really thinking the town is a cycle, somewhat of snowglobe pocket dimension. It has been going on for some time now like maybe 500+ years - the monsters perhaps are previous cycle inhabitants, It could explain why at least all the monsters we see seem to be from the 1960s? I'm not sure as to why but perhaps once the entity "wins" in that cycle, the remaining people become the monsters. It could also explain why some of them had very "human" moments, like the bus guy, the girl at the window, the farmers. There's clearly some sort of psychic link happening with them and the people and it's fascinating that they aren't just this force of bad. They still seem to have some semblance to them but perhaps not in control? I'm really glad they already answered that this isn't death or purgatory
It's an alien "Noah's Ark" type ship that has been collecting species for thousands and thousands of years. It crashed on earth, in North America, and has been malfunctioning; taking in more and more samples into a broken system. The species of different planets are housed in holodeck-type simulated realities; but these realities are broken and are bleeding into each other; there are glitches. Species that were never intended to meet, are now in the same glitching habitats. The runes, symbols, etc are basically computer language, prompts, etc. Developer and Moderator tools that the system recognizes. Thus, what appears to be "magic", is actually technology.
i think they would have gotten an idea how they were chosen to be trapped there if only they discussed things. Like there must be some sort of criteria or a trigger for them to be chosen somehow.
@@CGAT18I think that is wrong. Both Kristi and Marielle are from Michigan. This might be a one off thing though as the town seems to manifest the fears people trapped in it have. Someone here in the comments mentioned that Kristi had the fear of having to choose to either hold on to the hope of escaping and reuniting with her fianceé or accepting she’s trapped and moving on with Kenny in the town. She feared facing the choice between those two people, which was being made easier because Marielle wasn’t there so the town planted Marielle in it to make her fears manifest
I don't think the monsters need to inflict any kind of mental trauma for sustenance or anything, but they do so because that is their very reason for existing. I think that Fromville is a place where certain people are capable of making their imaginations real. Victor and Boyd at least are capable of doing so. Boyd's hero complex inspired him to imagine into existence both the animals they eat as well as the talismans that protect them. Victor did the same with the monsters. The man in the photo did something that caused severe psychological harm to Victor and it made him see people as monsters that relish causing psychological harm to people, that thought was strong enough that Fromville manifested human-like monsters that relish causing psychological harm to people.
But Victor says that the night everyone died, his mother told him to hide somewhere "new", somewhere Christopher wouldn't know about. This suggests to me that they were already hiding at night, that the monsters already existed when Victor arrived.
another thing I find strange is that the structures and other objects in town look to be from different periods. The diner looks like its from the 60's, whereas the church looks like its from the 1600's. The area is like a Bermuda Triangle.
@3:29 Sara made it through the Faraway tree too. She just was sent back to the church. All the other Faraway trees (besides the bottle tree) send things somewhere random, so she didn't end up where Boyd went, but when Boyd talked to her in the church basement, she said she ended up back there and stayed until Kenny found her.
For me, I see Victor as having a much bigger part in creating the situation in the town than he has let on. As if when he was a child, he made some wish come true that created the setting in the town and turned the people in that town into monsters that live forever. Also created the fallen tree that would trap people into the endless loop on the road that kept them returning to that town. One of the most revealing comments was when Jade asked him, "Don't you want to go home?" and Victor replied, "This IS my home." And the fact he blocked out the memory of his sister running after their mom shows that he has blocked out many unpleasant facts on why he was there alone. And I believe his sister made it out of Fromville and giving Tabitha his lunchbox will help his sister on the outside identify that her brother was still alive in that town.
This doesn't make sense because when victor showed Tabitha that field of cars he said there were a lot more already there. The stuff in the town was happening before he got there.
For me the main entity uses the imaginations of the humans to create the nightmares so he used alot of victors imagery because Victor was the only one left after that last big purge
I can agree with Victor being the creator of this situation. Vampires would definitely be something little kids are afraid of. He would have been a child in the 60's or 70's maybe? Unless he is also undead.
The monsters DON'T EAT ANYTHING. Even the Jasmine monster spit that one idiot's tongue out. They disembowel people in a ritualistic way- tearing out the tongue and disemboweling them- but no bite marks. No monsters with bloody mouths. Also, why did The Voices have Sarah murder Toby in a way to match what the monsters do? The same voices had Sarah leave the door to that same room open so the monsters could get inside- so they would have killed Toby the same way anyway! So- why was Toby special? Would he have recognized the monsters somehow? Maybe he'd know what was happening? Maybe the mutilation of the bodies prevents the dead from returning as monsters? That doesn't seem the case, since townspeople that kill themselves don't return- neither did Sarah's brother. We do know the town keeps exact numbers of people - if you count all the people dead in season one, they're all replaced by the Matthews family and Jade, plus the people from the bus that don't get killed by the monsters. Exactly the same number. It's a terrarium- just like one of Victor's drawings that shows the town in a glass bottle (even showing the monster tunnels beneath it!). I think whatever is running things wiped out the town and started over at some point- removing the sole survivor- Victor- and he saw the town from outside the... experiment, for want of a more precise term. I think that's what broke Victor's mind.
It always seemed to me that Sarah killed Toby to spare him the more gruesome death. She couldn't do the same for the other two because they'd prolly overpower her (& ultimately, it had to look like it was the monsters that did it all anyway)
Look at a lot of the corpses the internal organs are missing from their victims or there legs or arms have been stripped of the muscles. Their eating and mutilating their kills.
@@southernprideyankee Nope. I'm guessing that it's MUCH WORSE than that. The monsters don't have any internal organs to eat anything. They're dessicated corpses that are somehow animated. But there is Glammer- an illusion so perfect that they even feel warm to the touch. I think the missing organs are being fed to the humans. All those pancakes and tea and coffee. All illusion.
That’s a good theory, but you’re forgetting that Sarah HAD to leave the door open to make everyone believe that the monsters did it. Otherwise one mutilated body would have made it obvious that the killer wasn’t a monster and it would inevitably lead to her. She told Nathan that the voices told her she had to make it look like the monsters did it, leaving the door open was covering her tracks. WHY she killed Toby, and why the voices wanted her to kill the boy would be the question here.
The whole "it's a government experiment" theory makes no sense. These are MONSTERS we are dealing with, as well as the power lines that extend under the house leading to nowhere. Whatever is doing this is supernatural. I mean, they could go down "The Matrix" road where it's all VR, but that would be boring. Also, Tabitha not actually making it out would also be boring (not saying that the writers wouldn't play that card though). The other thing that bugs me is the weather is said to always be nice no matter how much time passes, then in season 2 the weather begins to change. There's also the dates in the lighthouse(?) that stretch back hundreds of years. I'm thinking it's supernatural entity/force that feeds on fear. Every time someone dies, it inspires fear. When new people show it inspires fear. The visions some people experience ultimately inspires fear. Tabitha digging under the house and her husband building the radio tower kind of inspires hope or the very least lessons the fear, and the entity(s) don't like that so it changes the rules or at least ups the difficultly, like when the rats get too used to the maze.
One of the most annoying parts of season 2 was the husband being absolutely wrong and not getting his just dues for the shit he caused. They just blew it over. Dude was fucking tripping
I think government experiment makes sense _if_ its not just the government conducting a random test. it found an anomaly and it needs to study it or "feed" it in the same way to keep it localized. I don't personally take the government test as well though.
I think this place does make peoples believes or fears come true or manifest in reality. Here's why: 1.) It was heavily hinted at by Sara. 2.) Victors fear are people after what that guy in the pic did to him so Victor fears people who fake being nice just to hurt you. That's why all the monsters are dressed in old fashioned clothes, it's from the time Victor grew up in and that's why he imagined these monsters like that. 3.) The more dangerous thing in Season 2 is a mix of many fears: Boyds fear of worms, Nathans fear of cicadas. Someone probably fears ballet because they were forced to do it as a child or worse. Maybe the whole "3 people need to die in a dungeon" thing is Ethans fear. It sounds like something you would see in a fantasy book or game. Ethan also admitted to being scared and often talks about his fantasy books and quests. The sleeping thing could also be explained: Someone just has a big fear of dying in their sleep. 4.) Fatimas fear might be pregnancy. In a sense of just inflicting mental pain on her because she is infertile. Maybe that's why she became pregnant all of a sudden. Her fear is related to pregnancy. 5.) Boyd randomly started finding things like animals and the talismans. That's because he has this very strong belief of being the hero of the town. 6.) This may be a stretch but Kristis fear is how she deals with being in love with both kenny and marielle and how to deal with it once they get out. That's when suddenly Marielle came into the town. 7.) Jims fear may be being in an experiment and being constantly watched. Maybe that's why the person on the radio answered the way it did: His fear got manifested.
Get out of my head man!!! I’ve been following since severance. Then you did Silo, which I loved!I binged From months ago and was just watching some recaps cause I was missing it and also curious about season 3. Then boom you bring it with the From coverage! Keep it up!
It’s crazy that this show and severance came out in the same year and they are my two favorite shows right now. Or severance will be if they ever release another season lol
Same !!! I watched severance last year and has been dying for the next season. Yesterday I finished watching from and and dying for the next season but hey atleast from has released a teaser and severance is rumoured to have ended it's filming, so fingers crossed!!!
Spoiler alert: There are some scenes where it seems the monsters are so close that they easily could have taken some of the new arrivals (for instance when Jim, Tabitha and children first arrived), but chose not to. Why? The wish to "season" them, as the creator of this video suggests? (He might be right) Then there is the killing of father Khatri, which happens quickly and in a very different manner than usual. It's closer to the way Sara kills her brother than to the messy way of the monster. It seems they wanted father Khatri dead more than they wanted to torture him. And the monster killing him seems less human looking than the others - or did he just change into his monster persona before striking? Also, they let Boyd get away after he killed Smiley - Why? I wonder if we'll ever get the answers to these questions ...
The reason everyone ends up in the town is because the roads of america are all connected. The tree that everyone sees at the start represents a broken far away tree. It happens to be on an american road. What teleports people to multiple exit points? The far away tree. So what is happening? Multiple random entry points are spawning from the broken tree. This may have been caused by a monster, but most likely a person given how self obsessed we are with making humans the real monsters. It is assumed the zone was originally contained. We know it is probably a containment zone because a tree had to be broken before an entry way was created. Although this could just be a elaborate trap like originally theorised. We definitely know the trees are important and that alot of the magic of this place relies upon hidden connections. It could all be related to the trees.
Ha. I agree. That one monster is the worst. That actor was perfectly cast for the role. I think that the radio will just end up being the monsters. They do talk.
Idk why they killed off the second best character on the show. Smiley is without a doubt the perfect villain from season 1. His wit and charm are chilling. The scene with him on the balcony is classic. The evil smile.
There are 8 different years was written on the wall. we know there are 7 ghoulish kid. my theory is as victor didn't die,so the town was unable to restart again. which is why all of the zombies were dress as if like there are from 1930s. I also believe in 1930s those were actual human who died in the town , who eventually turn into zombie in 1978. if victor didn't survive in 1978,there would be 8 ghoulish kid including the boy in 1930 white dress. victor was meant to be the next kid who would take place the position of boy in whites. in our timeline, probably start at 2020(2 years before actual show), tabitha's kid ethan is meant to take the next position. which is why tabitha's mother and victor's mother had some kind of connection
Bro you are really cooking well. I have also a theory Intro of the show "que sera sra" When i was little, I asked my father ( A couple and child picture show i think that child is the boy in white.) Will i be a handsome? Will i be rich? (White dress boys picture shows) Que sera sera ( Crows shows) Now i have children of my own (Means white dress boys children And some teddy bear shoes and a Little girl shows) And presenting fatima and ellise shows as adam and eve and monster hand also shows. And victor's family and Tabitha's family are some kind of similar. Victor's dad and Jim have the same favourite music Victor's mother and tabitha made the same bracelet And yeah it is only me who finds that tabitha looks like Elizabeth Olsen (wanda)😅
Gotta say....So many people talk about the Creatures 'eating' people but. I don't recall any instance where they have once actually been shown eating someone. Bodies being ripped apart and organs being missing can simply be another way of them instilling fear.
Yeah, this just came up in a recent upload (comment section). We've never actually seen them doing any eating, we only see the bodies with their innards cleaned out. I guess that's why it's assumed, but we don't know that this is actually happening.
@@nautilusfiles My personal thought and, considering they went what, 90+ days without eating, possibly longer if no one turned up during the time Victor was there, they feed on the fear of the people in the town. That or the forest itself is sustaining them. I think they just take the innards out as a way of enforcing that fear. Definitely worse finding a course ripped open and organs missing that a ripped up body
This show has a fascinating concept and creates a unique dynamic that keeps us guessing. Every time we get one answer, it's immediately followed by ten more questions. It's like a riddle trapped in a puzzle, wrapped in a maze! One of the major mysteries is about the motel-where is it, and what happened to it? Henry pointed out, "How come we see a sign, but there's no motel?" I also think the numbers in the bottles might represent hotel room numbers. At some point, I predict the motel will become a central element in this story. While I understand the comparisons to Lost, there are significant differences. What made Lost so iconic was its strong, alpha male leaders. However, in this show, all the men seem to be portrayed as beta males who struggle with making logical leadership decisions. They often rely on mentally stronger female counterparts. For example, Boyd follows Donna, Jim defers to Tabitha, Kristi leads Kenny, and Ellis looks up to Fatima. Conversely, the men who display alpha-like qualities, such as Jade and Randall, are depicted as jerks or bullies. Throughout human history, when people face extreme situations and adversity, we tend to revert to our natural roles: men often become warriors and protectors, while women take on the roles of healers and nurturers. But here, the men seem passive, almost waiting for those around them to be killed. A prime example is Frank, who drinks himself unconscious instead of protecting his family, allowing the monster to slaughter them. No real man would do that when he has a scared little girl at home. It’s an intriguing writing choice-every male character is led by a stronger female. Even Julie shows better leadership skills than her own father, Jim. I don't think this is a mere oversight; it seems intentional, creating more intrigue and conflict in the storyline. The lack of communication among the characters adds to the show's chaos. No one is trying to come up with a plan of attack; they’re all just surviving as best they can. In reality, when humans face threats, we don’t just sit around waiting-we build walls, moats, and traps. Human creativity, especially in the art of survival and war, is unmatched. Yet, all of this seems absent in the show’s portrayal of their survival efforts. Despite these observations, I think it's a great show, and I’m excited to see how it all unfolds in the end!
YES! Thank you bro, I love your channel and this series in perfect for breakdowns and theories! It’s such a fun show and painfully overlooked. Just goes to show you can do A LOT even with a tight budget. Give me at least two more seasons, because the first two were great!(:
I'm so glad that other people love this series as much as I do. I don't know anybody else who watches it. But that's OK with me. Just keep the intrigue up and keep me on the edge of my seat. This is the best TV series for years and as long as I get to see it the rest can just watch the rubbish that they watch!!!
Great video bro. Please do keep following 'From'. There are so many interesting theories out there. Any of which fit the picture in some way or another. I do think you could make a few theories from the show covering a variety of topics.
In the old days, lighthouses used to guide ships to shore. And that most valleys were submerged in water, that's why we see the lighthouse top of the hill. My theory is that whenever someone dies, the beacon turns on to ensure a continuous food source for the monsters. And if the lighthouse is guiding people in, might as well be the guide out.
New sub! I just found your channel as the FROM Frenzy is afoot. Your logic is sound, your comments are great, and your voice is soothing. Great review/summation, I'll be in touch. Thanks.
I'm here for it! I love From,i love severance. These shows 'are not like the other girls' just straight oddities and mind puzzles on screen! I love it.
If anyone has recommendations to more shows like this *please* let me know! (My favorite genres are post apocalyptic, survival horror, disasters, etc.) - Because this is the first show in a long time where I haven’t been able to predict the plot. I have no idea where the story is going & what the mystery is. lol not trying to sound conceited; but just have been able to accurately predict what’s going to happen in most shows & movies (especially lately). So it’s really fun being completely dumbfounded. Can’t wait for the third season.
I really loved "The Haunting of Hill House" (it's not post apocalyptic, though). Also the Swedish movie "Let the Right One In" (Låt den rätte komma in) from 2008 is great, IMHO. (Also not post apocalyptic)
It was weirdly sweet seeing Victor give his lunchbox to Tabitha. It seems to be the one thing he's hung onto this entire time. He's been there since he was around 6 or 7, and he seems to be pushing 60 now, tho he still seems very much like a little boy in some ways. When he interacts with Tabitha it's like she's the mom & he's the kid, even though he's at least 20 years older than her.
You have an interesting take. I see things a little bit differently. I hear a lot of people saying that the monsters do not walk because they like it when the people are frightened. I do not believe that that is the case. I do not think that they can move fast. They are like sloths. One of the reasons I say that is because when Victor was in the hole in the ground and one of them woke up, they still moved slowly. Another reason is that when Boyd killed one, there was no reaction from the others of surprise when the monster died. When the monster screamed and started to die, the other monsters didn't jump; they were not startled. They continued to move slowly like sloths. I think that the only way they can catch their prey is if they can get it to stay still long enough for them to grab it and the only way that they can do that is if they appear human. I also think that that boy in the white is not a friend. I think that he is behind all of this. I think that he is the one who responded on the radio and collapsed the house so that they wouldn't find out where his pet monsters live. I think this is all one big game for him. In the beginning, when all of those people died, he sat on the merry-go-round thing (I don't remember the name of it, but it sits right next to the house, and Victor saw him playing with it when all of those people died when he was a kid). They think he is helping them, but I think he is not. He is not trying to help them escape he is just toying with them. He spoke to Tabitha before he pushed her out of the window. He could have easily spoken to any number of the people that have seen him and lead them to the castle. He also pushed Tabitha out the window so she wouldn't go back and lead other people to the castle. I think that he is behind everything.
I believe the monsters once were human and are bound by rules. In human form they can't run. Note..in their other form they can move as fast as they want. In season 1 episode 1 that Grandma moved super fast once the window was opened. You can outrun them in human form. Once they shift it's a wrap.
my theory is that they are all in a comma, on the edge of death, life support, etc. and this is purgatory. This explains how tabitha wakes up in a hospital. she found her way out, thus waking up from her comma. they said she was found unconscious on a hiking trail. what if her and her family did make it to their camping destination and were out hiking, only for her/family to get injured while hiking leading to her comma/hospilization. my theory is all the people there are in purgatory and are in similar situations. they need to find there way out to wake up.
I mean good theory but it’s kinda dumb Ngl if you realize In the trailer Tabitha went to a house and the basement have drawings of the children she saw what if the guy in that house is victors father and the drawings is his missing sister who escaped the say way Tabitha did
Tabitha is too young to be Eloise though, she’s at least 10 years younger than Victor if not more. But I’ve heard people say it could be Abby since she recognize the place from a “dream” she had as a child
There are so many vague things about this show that if the writer wants to explain everything, they're gonna need a whole extra season to do so. And stupid me was expecting that they were gonna finish everything in the last episode of season 2.
*My theory:* It's all happening in a crashed alien space ship, which essentially has giant "holodecks" to hold species and biomes from different planets. The three lined symbol is depicting some sort of glitch or break in the system, which is allowing three of these "realities" to cross over. Thus, inhabitants from different "exhibits" are wandering into the wrong places. Sorta wolves wandering into a deer habitat, or vise versa. It's either an A.I. or an alien which is "controlling" the ship/habitats but there is something wrong with the system after all this time, and it needs the help of people. Meanwhile, other species on the ship are either getting in the way, or actively don't want things to be fixed. Since they're essentially in a glitching simulation, there are certain symbols and things which might work like developer or moderator tools. Computer language, or prompts that the system understands. There's a lot going on here, and all of it can be explained by advanced alien technology.
@@mira6883 There is a motel sign (used to have the name “Star Magic Motel”) and a pool, but the motel building is gone. It probably crumbled to the ground like the Mathews’ house. 🤷🏻♀️
I believe it’s alien abduction. That’s why everyone isn’t from the same location. It’s a huge ship over the world, like the lamp Jade picked up S1E4. When Tabitha was pushed out the lighthouse window , that was the only way to get beamed out of the ship. They are in like “The Zoo “ from Steven Universe, except the alien ship is hovering on earth
(Sorry for the long post) My theory is this: Abby was right. Fromville is not feeding on people’s fears, it’s feeding on their hope. I think that was really her ghost trying to help Boyd at the end of season 2 by encouraging him to just let everyone die so they can “wake up” instead of prolonging their suffering by keeping them alive. Same way Father Khatri appeared to help Boyd, and Tom appeared to help Jade. If you think about the way events in town have unfolded, it seems like the town is purposefully allowing people to get their hopes up, and is now systematically breaking them down, all starting with Boyd’s arrival. Series of events: 1. Boyd comes to town and becomes the embodiment of hope by creating a system that allows people to live more normal lives. That’s also when animals suddenly start appearing in the woods, and the talismans are found (bonus theory: the talismans might be a red herring to create a false sense of safety) 2. Now that a sense of normality and peace has been established, Jim and Jade arrive into town, two engineers who promise to build a tower to reach the outside world, only for it to fail and bring disaster. 3. Boyd goes into the woods and brings back an even worse monster. He also keeps Sara alive which causes people to lose faith in him. 4. A busload of people roll into town causing chaos and a shortage of supplies. Meanwhile, winter is now coming for the very first time. 5. Season 3 indicates there will be a threat of starvation, the monsters will intentionally try to break Boyd’s spirit (I think by murdering Fatima and the “miracle” baby), and Jade’s vision of the guy drinking from a human skull may be a warning that people will turn towards cannibalism to survive. 6. I believe Tabitha got to the real world specifically because the boy in white pushed her out of the lighthouse so she would fall to her death, causing her to wake up, just like Abby said. These are just to name a few so this post doesn’t go on forever, but basically my theory is that Fromville wants to build up people’s hope in order to feed on their despair, and Abby was right about dying in order to escape.
I think there's just too many weird things going on for it to not be supernatural in nature. Also, I'm pretty sure the reason we heard the woman's phone go off is because it was an alarm, not someone calling. Alarms don't require a connection to the internet or a cell phone tower or anything like that.
To me it seems like a twisted game. Before the talismans it was hide and seek. After the game changed, to something like "knock knock, can I come in?" I think Abby was one from the place as a child. Or another soul reincarnation. The place broke her and she couldn't understand dream from realility anymore. It feels like Tilly might been there as well. Her dancing being all happy when the first arrived. (Maybe she might have just been tripping.) But she does give her liquid morphine to the doctor chicks and one starts using again. Another possibility is she's hearing the voices and they told her about the addiction. Then you have the part with her and Fatima. The part with Victor coming to Jade to get him to play the violin for answers about the symbol was interesting. He seems to have a part to play in the game going on, but doesn't want to remember.
9:19 In regards to a common connection between everyone in the town something Ive noticed about all the characters is everyone that we get a back story on seems to have had some form of trauma illness or tragedy occur in their lives prior to becoming trapped in the town Just a thought
It’s definitely on a loop and people that die there definitely become part of the spirits in the town, but as we’ve seen they either turn bad or have the choice, cause the bartender is still good when people see him.
So they're either dead or they're in an inception-esque dream world/experiment? I posited that it could be a pocket universe as physics etc work differently but I can't believe that now.
Answer me if monsters wait before eating everyone worrying if other humans come or not and in one time everyone died and talismans were not discovered as they were discovered by Boyd then how did Victor survive from his young age to being an old guy without protection or talismans?
So i just finished season 2, i wonder if she really made it out or not. Cuz none of the cars when she looks outside seem to be moving. And another car looks like its sitting in the water. I wonder if maybe shes made it to another part of town.
Hmmmmm what is silo? I'm assuming i have to watch it. I finally got around to watching the first season of homecoming because of this channel. And TOTALLY worth it.
So, I dove deep down the fan theory rabbit hole and I found one theory that seems the most plausible: fae. If you start reading Scottish mythology on the fae, it perfectly describes what's happening in From. I think the monsters are a type of fae called the slaugh. These things hunt humans for sport by trapping them in another realm and picking them off one by one for fun. To me, the most compelling piece of evidence is that the word "fae" translated to English is "from". I really think that's what the answer is.
i dont think the radio scene isnt a real person. i think its another uspernatural entity, the monsters can talk like humans, why cant another supernatural entity that looks over the area answer the radio
My theory is that the food would just appear but stopped around the time the Matthews family arrived or it came from the truck that Victor would hide in bc that was a canned food truck and their could have been others like it
I get the same vibes as LOST when watching FROM, especially how the mystery is slowly unwrapped. We have the others, new comers to the stage and so on.
I have this theory that it's purgatory. Daytime is heaven protecting them (boy all in white, shows itself to certain people) and night is for the dormant demons terrorize them. Oh wait it's lost all over again.
An interesting theory I saw was that the town of FROM is the Lost settlement of ROANOKE where all inhabitants disappeared and all that was found carved into a Tree. In 1585 all 121 inhabitants had vanished. Maybe the disappearance of Roanoke what's the first in the cycle. the huts they found look like settler huts, maybe the Settlers learnt about an evil from the natives and sacrificed some children to keep away the big bad. but something went wrong, turned some of them into the monsters and began the cycle.
no she is not in woods hallucinating because the the dog she kept hearing was dog of those hikers who rescued her. she is in actual hospital if she was in wood the hikers with dog arc won't make sense
Monsters Wendigos !

My theory is it’s just like Lost. The writers are writing themselves into a corner, making stuff up to keep everyone interested, no answers in the series finale.
What wasn't answered in lost?
They rushed the ending, everything that happened was not answered. And they all lived happily ever after. It was lame. I didn't want to get involved in this either, same writers, they have potential but than mess up the ending
It's basically purgatory. They all are either dead, on life support, comatose, or near death like their last moments and leaping from that lighthouse portal wakes them up/revives them.... This is my assumption

Considering boyds actor was in that show it would be a dick move.
It's labeled as a "Sci-Fi Horror" show.
So, my bet is on some sort of malfunctioning or misplaced advanced alien technology.
*Any sufficiently advanced technology, would appear as magic to a less developed perspective.*
Notice how the town doesn't make much sense? It's all aesthetic and form. They have power, but the wires don't lead to anything. They have livestock, but nobody knows where the animals come from, etc etc.
Almost like their human habitat is being emulated, rather than actually replicated.
This could be some sort of crashed alien ship, with different biomes and "pocket realities" meant to house a bunch of different species.
One of those species: Humans
This could be like some sort of highly advanced Noah's Ark.
The three lines could be three intersecting pocket realities, which allows the species of those realities to interact.
Some alien species have been trapped there a very long time. Others (humans and earth animals) have been wandering into the "anomaly" created by the ship.
The real question, to me, is:
Who or what was piloting this ship...and is it still alive?
@@OpinionParade interesting theory . Could be something like "The Thing". Maybe the presence there is some extra dimensional or alien sadistic criminal that was being transported or a part of the crew that went insane.

Interesting speculation
It kind of remind me that reddit story that says "When the sky is green you cannot be seen"

@@jasoncaldwell5627 nah, the Boy in White communicated with Sarah because she has the ability to hear voices and can communicate through telepathy. There is definitely something with the healing rate in this town. Elis gets better real fast (he even has a line about it), Kristi is "surprised" that Boyd's wound isn't infected. Fatima can become pregnant. Reminds me of a certain Locke...
AND CHRISTI’S ANKLE AS WELL
9:24 I also thought it was planned, ... until someone else had another theory : Sara's decision to 'kill the boy' was not only influenced by the prospect of bringing everyone home and the threat against her brother, but also by Kristi's claim that she would do anything - no matter how bad - if it could serve the greater good and allow her to see Marielle again.

They all have to be connected in the same way bc they all come from different states but never the same state twice

I think you are absolutely right
Interesting
But Victor says that the night everyone died, his mother told him to hide somewhere "new", somewhere Christopher wouldn't know about.
This suggests to me that they were already hiding at night, that the monsters already existed when Victor arrived.
@@tallybee9091right, the monsters were already there.
Thats a very great theory. Chinese dude once time told gay dude that they doesnt know where animals come from.
another thing I find strange is that the structures and other objects in town look to be from different periods. The diner looks like its from the 60's, whereas the church looks like its from the 1600's. The area is like a Bermuda Triangle.
The absolutely creepiest part of the whole series so far was 1) the voice on the radio that spoke to Jim and 2) the bus pulling up.

You caught my eye with severance but now you have my attention.
Killing it, brother! Great choice on the new series!
Yo, Alan! Good to see you, brother!
This is a really smart assessment! I believe you might be onto something. What do you think @NautilusFiles?
Here's why:
1.) It was heavily hinted at by Sara.
So it's like Sphere movie
Could be, nice theory
FROM FEAR REVEALS OUR MONSTERS 🥴
That’s good but there’s so many other things that don’t make sense with that theory
Tabitha lost her child before and she got a fear of losing another, then group of dead child appearing at her
Get out of my head man!!!
Same here!
I hate horror; scary shows! Now...I'm Ensnared watching "From"! I hate myself! Yet...so good!
Same !!! I watched severance last year and has been dying for the next season. Yesterday I finished watching from and and dying for the next season but hey atleast from has released a teaser and severance is rumoured to have ended it's filming, so fingers crossed!!!
Same here

Spoiler alert:
There are some scenes where it seems the monsters are so close that they easily could have taken some of the new arrivals (for instance when Jim, Tabitha and children first arrived), but chose not to. Why? The wish to "season" them, as the creator of this video suggests? (He might be right)
Then there is the killing of father Khatri, which happens quickly and in a very different manner than usual.
The Nautilus is doing From! How awesome is that!
Love that you’re giving us your grooviness on this show!
I love that you're doing FROM. You really never disappoint!!! ❤
Thank you so much!!
That scene with Jim talking on the radio has STRONG losties talking to the “others” vibes.
Sounds just like a convo between Jack and Tom.
Ha. I agree. That one monster is the worst. That actor was perfectly cast for the role. I think that the radio will just end up being the monsters. They do talk.
They have to bring him back. He stole the show.
Idk why they killed off the second best character on the show. Smiley is without a doubt the perfect villain from season 1. His wit and charm are chilling. The scene with him on the balcony is classic. The evil smile.
Here's one for algorithm. Your channel is the best! Thanks so much for doing From!
Appreciate it! :)
Yesss! I'm so glad you're covering From!
the voice on the radio sounded like the guy who played John Locke on Lost
I have also a theory
Intro of the show "que sera sra"
When i was little, I asked my father
( A couple and child picture show i think that child is the boy in white.)
Will i be a handsome?
Will i be rich?
(White dress boys picture shows)
Que sera sera
( Crows shows)
Now i have children of my own
(Means white dress boys children
And some teddy bear shoes and a Little girl shows)
And presenting fatima and ellise shows as adam and eve and monster hand also shows.
And victor's family and Tabitha's family are some kind of similar.
Victor's dad and Jim have the same favourite music
Victor's mother and tabitha made the same bracelet
And yeah it is only me who finds that tabitha looks like Elizabeth Olsen (wanda)😅
This is by far one of my favorite shows right now! Can't wait for season 3. Great Vid!
Thanks for the videos, really great vibe
This is the best TV series for years and as long as I get to see it the rest can just watch the rubbish that they watch!!!
i binged all three seasons in less than two days
Great video bro. Please do keep following 'From'. There are so many interesting theories out there. Any of which fit the picture in some way or another. I do think you could make a few theories from the show covering a variety of topics.
The monsters want to film a 12 season show without giving any answers whatsoever.
A true horror story!
Finally, and ending to a series. It was all a dream.
The tabitha situation, THINK Silent Hill. They're trapped in an alternate dimension.
New sub! I just found your channel as the FROM Frenzy is afoot. Your logic is sound, your comments are great, and your voice is soothing. Great review/summation, I'll be in touch. Thanks.
Appreciate the kind words, and thanks for the sub!
I'm here for it! I love From,i love severance. These shows 'are not like the other girls' just straight oddities and mind puzzles on screen! I love it.
it's never been proven that they eat the people, it just seems like they tear them apart
All the monsters are stuck there like the humans.
I mean it's not like the creatures are trying to escape 😅
Reel enigmas & theories is also a great page to follow on this
If anyone has recommendations to more shows like this *please* let me know!
Heard severance is good . I'm gonna give that a shot . Reviews look good
I really loved "The Haunting of Hill House" (it's not post apocalyptic, though).
Also the Swedish movie "Let the Right One In" (Låt den rätte komma in) from 2008 is great, IMHO. (Also not post apocalyptic)
Silo
society
This isnt the only time someone had that alarm on a cell phone!!!
I think that he is behind everything.
you are WRONG
@@TahsinNirzhar Why? Support your argument.
I believe the monsters once were human and are bound by rules. In human form they can't run. Note..in their other form they can move as fast as they want. In season 1 episode 1 that Grandma moved super fast once the window was opened. You can outrun them in human form. Once they shift it's a wrap.
@@AfriqueNYofc everything is a game for them. I wanna beat their asses.
my theory is that they are all in a comma, on the edge of death, life support, etc. and this is purgatory.
Yea kinda giving of Alice In Borderland vibe, everyone in it had an accident and they are all either dead, dying in the hospital bed, and or coma.
💯 agree
Too normal and lame an ending. The writers better not be cooking this nonsense
I mean good theory but it’s kinda dumb Ngl if you realize In the trailer Tabitha went to a house and the basement have drawings of the children she saw what if the guy in that house is victors father and the drawings is his missing sister who escaped the say way Tabitha did
How do you explain the lunchbox she got from victor ?
Oh man I'm glad I found this channel again I regret not subscribing at first dude
Thanks, glad to hear you enjoyed the vids :)
Has anyone heard the theory that tabitha actually is Eloise who managed to escape as a child but lost her memory?
Tabitha is too young to be Eloise though, she’s at least 10 years younger than Victor if not more.
But I’ve heard people say it could be Abby since she recognize the place from a “dream” she had as a child
I wish season 2 was better, they need to get back to horror/mystery. Instead of scifi/drama
There are so many vague things about this show that if the writer wants to explain everything, they're gonna need a whole extra season to do so. And stupid me was expecting that they were gonna finish everything in the last episode of season 2.
*My theory:*
It's all happening in a crashed alien space ship, which essentially has giant "holodecks" to hold species and biomes from different planets.
Bro is onto nothing 🔥🔥
@@robinbodnar5079 It's a sci-fi show. Not gonna be magic or spiritual stuff.
But the advanced tech theory is lame, i want it to be magic and monsters
This show gave me Lost vibes even before I found out it was made by the same people. I just hope the ending to this series is better than Lost's.
When Kelly's phone went off it was her wakeup alarm. The lyrics of the song were "wake up kelly". Her phone was not connected to a network.
Maybe when Tabitha walks out of the hospital, she will actually be walking out of the missing motel in Fromville…. 🤔🤔🤔
what missing motel
@@mira6883 There is a motel sign (used to have the name “Star Magic Motel”) and a pool, but the motel building is gone. It probably crumbled to the ground like the Mathews’ house. 🤷🏻♀️
I believe it’s alien abduction. That’s why everyone isn’t from the same location. It’s a huge ship over the world, like the lamp Jade picked up S1E4. When Tabitha was pushed out the lighthouse window , that was the only way to get beamed out of the ship. They are in like “The Zoo “ from Steven Universe, except the alien ship is hovering on earth
i really liked how you look at this keep up the good work ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!
Nice! If you dig this show, I'm watching it. I'll be back when I'm caught up!
Series of events:
1. Boyd comes to town and becomes the embodiment of hope by creating a system that allows people to live more normal lives. That’s also when animals suddenly start appearing in the woods, and the talismans are found (bonus theory: the talismans might be a red herring to create a false sense of safety)
Smart and concise video. New subscriber!
I love this show. Can't wait for season 3.
9:19 In regards to a common connection between everyone in the town something Ive noticed about all the characters is everyone that we get a back story on seems to have had some form of trauma illness or tragedy occur in their lives prior to becoming trapped in the town
Just a thought
I think the title says it all.. "from" as in, all these things are from within, the monsters, the fear, everything.
Does anyone knows show similar to From? I need to watch something mysterious like this until next season.
The Bottles might be for every person that either escaped or died.
They fucking know everything, in the new trailer as well monsters knew Boyd's motive of saving everyone. It was def the mosnter.
somebody tell me where the food come from
My theory is that the food would just appear but stopped around the time the Matthews family arrived or it came from the truck that Victor would hide in bc that was a canned food truck and their could have been others like it
I get the same vibes as LOST when watching FROM, especially how the mystery is slowly unwrapped. We have the others, new comers to the stage and so on.
I have this theory that it's purgatory. Daytime is heaven protecting them (boy all in white, shows itself to certain people) and night is for the dormant demons terrorize them. Oh wait it's lost all over again.
From is filling the yellowjackets shaped hole in my heart
Same. March 25th is a ways a away, but expect some Yellowjackets videos at the start of 2025.
I hope the scenes of Jim and Kenny in the woods is them trying to map out the forest for clues.
Great video! But the second I saw the arrow in the head girl I KNEW I’d hear about Phineas Gauge. TH-camrs will talk about him any chance they get 😂
An interesting theory I saw was that the town of FROM is the Lost settlement of ROANOKE where all inhabitants disappeared and all that was found carved into a Tree.
Yes please. More videos on From
Has anyone wondering why the roads lead back to the town but the forest seems like a open playground 🤔
no she is not in woods hallucinating because the the dog she kept hearing was dog of those hikers who rescued her. she is in actual hospital if she was in wood the hikers with dog arc won't make sense
Awesome Eloise prediction!
Honestly, I don't think the creators have answers. I think they make it up as they go.
