The best thing about the Sonic Advance games was the animations literally every character had an afterimage thing after dashing at full speed
the idol animations gave them so much character - no, all the animations did
Boost mode
Only in advance 2 and 3 (for 3 it only works for speed types)
The best thing (in my opinion) was the tricks because it was good and also the big air was also useful for different routes

The Sonic Advance series was my favorite but I had a hard time collecting the emeralds.
The Emerald bonus stages where complete ass in the Sonic Advance series.

Probably because its zoomed out, and Ultimate Flash Sonic was made to be a taste of what Sonic Advance 2 was at the time.

This looks great when it isnt bothering me on the inside.
Do note, that wasn't meant to be an insult, I don't think I'm alone in being bothered with the things that obviously couldnt be replicated so they look like cursed images (running on rails and the like).

This mod looks cool. As much as Sonic Advance 2 is undeniably a flawed entry, i personally liked it a lot because of the fast pace, sprites, The levels (for the most part).
3 was better and so was 1. 2 just had a lot of those pesky bottomless pits for no reason and a lot of launching you into enemies and spikes 3 does this as well, but not as much, plus the special staged for sa2 are a nightmare to enter. Also sa3 has better bosses

There are no super sprites programmed into this mod. It would just break normal sonics palette and give you standard super sonic.

Sky canyon's boss comes to mind. The boss fights in general were horrible. Bad control thanks to the "GOTTA GO FAST" gimmick, and very tedious difficulty.

I thought they were REALLY fun, especially compared to the garbage in all the previous Sonic games. SAdvance 1 - jump to win in all except the tedious as hell Egg Rocket boss fight (Egg Rocket as a whole is garbage), SAdvance 3 - either jump to win or tedious as hell. I thought that Sky Canyon's boss would be the best fight in the game if not for the instakill - you can use different tactics and it's really fun to fight, just like the other bosses, in my opinion. The final boss was a disappointment after all those bosses, the only good part was the music.
It's not the same without tricks 😰

Mindless fun versus Substance of hellish amount of instakills and screen crunch. I'd say i had more fun with Advance 2, since it was fun to play, and even though i'd never plcae it near the Classics or Adventure's Sonic/Tails gameplays, it's still really fun in my opinion. Rush is a lot more polished and creative in terms of bosses then Advance 2 though. Now Advance 3 - that one's a PAIN. Instakills everywhere.

Advance 2 is the worst of the trilogy. It's a boring, mindless, and repetitive game and becomes a frustrating chore by the 2nd half.
what i didnt like about mania was out of all the cool characters in sonic, they brought ray and mighty which are basically discount sonic & tails. their too similiar in design, i cant stand them. ray looks like a little dweeb.
They literally have their own gameplay. It also gives new players the opportunity to get to know old, forgotten characters.
