My first 2D Sonic game being Advance 2 but it was just recently I found out that you could do damage to some of the bosses without jumping, by curling into a ball without the down button instead and sometimes you could even hit it multiple times through this way.
The fact that nonagression zone theme is a remix of the phi battle theme almost made me cry because of emerl,and that he died at the end of sonic battle

Sonic advance really gave me the nostalgia I needed because it felt like as if the modern and classic era morphed together to create such an underrated trilogy
I think I like all versions of metal Sonic. But my favorite version of him is his normal state. That's what makes metal Sonic one of the greatest antagonist not only because of his match speedup and how he's able to outrun sonic, but because of his distinct design and his one and only personality to destroy anything he sees. (He's also an anti-hero and anti-villan at the same time if you can recall back from Sonic 4 ep 2)

The final "true boss" in the 3rd game really shows alot about robotnik's personality, how he's ready to work with sonic in order to take down a the robot that betrayed him , really shows ya who he really is
The lore actually goes deeper than this - Gemerl was a recreation of Emerl from Sonic Battle, an extremely powerful robot that could adapt to literally *anything*, and it only got even more stronger and sentient after it absorbed a Chaos Emerald. Well, now it's taken all seven at once. AND it's gone rogue. Yeah, Eggman would be a fool to let Emerl best him a second time.
When sonic and tails is trying to attack eggman in his machine, his eyes pops up 😂😂, and Dr eggman say’s owwww, and you little!!!!! 😂😂💀 last one he adds, “your going to pay for thisss !!! “

I thought it was kind of funny how in Sonic Advance 3, every boss machine has a socket for Gemerl to fit into. Kind of wish Eggman had a helper robot like that to function like that in other games, something other than Metal Sonic. And since Gemerl is based on Emerl's design I thought it would have been cool if they had some of those adaption and mimicking features. I had a whole idea where after the events of SA3, Gemerl recovers the remains of his super form and uses it to start building additions for himself. Like a chao drone that looks like him to mimic Cream and Cheese's incredible power, an airboard in his color pallet he can summon remotely, and a device like the Decepticon Hunter from Robots in Disguise. A device that changes into any weapon he needs, like Amy's hammer or a sword or blaster.

The Egg Press almost looks identical to the Bouncy Boss Robot from Sonic Chaos, except that it doesn’t shoot projectiles.
It's also similar to one stage of the final boss in Triple Trouble.
