Man they really don't give Porsche too many chances to sit on the records. Now GT63S and maybe several days later GT Black series. Love this kind of competition in a good way.
Porsche will never let them take the records for too long. They are pretty much the brand that cares about Nürburgring lap times the most. Whenever they get beaten they very quickly take the record back. For example they made the GT2 RS MR to take back the record from the Aventador SVJ. You can bet Porsche are working on an even sportier Panamera now that it's not the fastest anymore.
@john m Yes the Lambo times are jokes. But the Porsche times are not that fake though. I believe they just deleted the rear seats and added roll cage to improve handling. It's like 10 seconds difference here. I really wish they don't do this, just run the production vehicles delivered to customers. That's what it matters. I really appreciate what Mercedes did. AMG GTR Pro is just 2 seconds slower in Sport Auto supertest than manufacturer lap (not in great conditions though). That shows how honest they are.
It's one of the best looking luxury sedans ever and no i didn't forget about the beautiful m6 gc or the old gen rs7. But thats my personal opinion. I'm in love with amg since the c63 m156.

A perfect drive👌, a god pilot in a 4wd. You se when the rear wants to show off the front wheel drags it back again👍, when i drove the sti on the wet track i got the best times even it was stock and heavy. The amg is bigger off everything (power) ❤️😁👌

„Full Stock Form“ means around 700+ PS instead 639 PS? No change to compare fair (there are a lot stock cars out there making 730-750 PS at the dyno). Before going to drive the fast lap you should check the power on a dyno - also with official notary 👍
Seeing that you don't allow timing of your (co-)driven laps, maybe you could do the same analysis of other timed famous Nordschleife laps, eg, the famous 6:42 Lambo AVA record lap or others done by Porsche or others. Just an idea for those upcoming long winter evenings.

Is there a way to overlay a GoPro video with the race logic data? I have a race box lite, but my car is OBDI so really having clean video is the most important thing for review personally. Thx. I suspect it’s possible, but like you I’m confused why everyone is stuck with this 480P race logic cameras.
Hm. I do not know. Many videos when Misha drives Yaris or other drivers drive Minis look way more spectacular. Probably it is the way, the camera is mounted, that makes it look easy.
Now would be a good time to do another attempt in optimal conditions. It is 5 seconds behind the Tesla atm. which has 40% more power! They should attempt to take the record back in optimal conditions, and maybe down the line, or before that attempt, add a track package or "black series" version of the car with even more power. No reason for Mercedes to make it easy for them.

well the mercedes had the record for most of the time and i think is more about how long can any manufactuer hold a record before mercedes breaks it.

Elastokinematic isn’t anything new. It stops the suspension compression from one wheel effecting the other side of effecting alignment.
