    Most people look at the interior of the Tesla and think "minimalist". I look at it and think how easy that interior would be to keep it clean.

    Great review! I’ve had my M3P since 2018. Best car I ever drove or owned. Hard to believe this didn’t exist 5 years ago. My husband has his MYP since 2021. Loves it as much as I love my 3.

    IMHO the design is holding up well after five years. As you pointed out it’s not shouting about itself - just quietly confident. A superb motor car.

    I'm collecting a Model 3 Performance in black on the 29th of this month, and can't wait. I've already booked the car in for window tinting on the same day though not too dark and a clear film wrap the following week.

    I pick up my Model 3 RWD today (which is why I've been watching a few vids on it). I ordered it around early April and the last update I had predicted it'll be the end of December. Then I had a call last week to say I've been allocated a car to collect this week. A lovely surprise and I really look forward to getting it!

    This is an excellent review, great job JJ. My wife and I had a BMW i3 and a 3 series diesel and wanted to streamline down to just one car... so we thoroughly tested the BMW i4 versus the Model 3 on the same day by mixed driving around Devon.
    We did like the i4's finish, smoothness and ride quality, it is a fine car but also compromised in aspects that the model 3 wasn't and the Tesla was much more advanced overall and surprisingly, a more focused driving machine.
    We ended up buying a 10 month old long range from Tangelo, it had 3100 miles and this was much more affordable than buying from Tesla's used inventory. I would say that the long range is faster than necessary and a RWD is quick enough, however, we are able to do a regular return journey from Exeter to Cheltenham without needing to recharge, so we mainly just use cheaper electricity from the home.
    If you do need to use a Tesla supercharger, it is just so simple and quick, currently such an advantage over all other electric car brands, but beware, superchargers are not exactly cheap any more.

    • @JJonCars
      @JJonCars  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks David! Interesting, I'm hoping to review an i4 soon, so will see what I think. I was really susprised how good the Model 3 is to drive so will have to see how the i4 compares. Cheers for the good info - I remember trying a supercharger out a few years ago and was super impressed with how easy it is.

    Enjoy your video. I’d ordered a m3p two weeks ago expect for delivery in oct to November. Sold my Porsche Cayenne S three years ago and I sold my GT4 today. I live in Orange County Southern California bout 15mins from San Diego border. Warm and sunny all year round, got solar panels roof It helps on electricity bills. Paid zero for home I may consider a couple of Tesla walls prepare for any power outage in the future. As I am seeing a lot of Tesla and ev on the street.

    The seats are not leather they are vegan but the quality is so good they look leather.
    The glasses holder is in the glove box.
    And for £30 I can travel 550 mile not just the 305 mile range, with just one stop to partly recharge.
    Insurance fully comp was only £700.

    I was lucky enough to order one at January, before stock crash, war and price hikes. Absolutely love it. Model 3 looks absolutely gorgeous as BLACK, with dark tinted back windows and back roof. Electricity prices in UK seems bonkers though, in Finland it's like 5-6 euros for 100% charge at home. Public 150w chargers, maybe around 15-20e~ for full charge 0 to 100%.

    I love my RWD. It cost £220 to drive 12,000 miles using Octopus GO. Autopilot is good on motorways and straightish A roads too. I love the inside and no other car compares to it's layout. External looks are a bit weird but it is easy to clean. Efficiency is great at 242 W/mile over the last 12 months. It could be improved however with better road noise suppression and better auto headlights... Would I buy it again. Definitely YES!

    Hi JJ. Yes, I really like these and would possibly be in the market for one at my next car change but the primary reason would be 'fuel' efficiency. Now, it cost me around £60 to fill my CT200H and I can get 450 miles out of a tank at a push...so the Tesla's £30 for 300 miles looks less attractive than it used to.
    Of course, there's the performance but that's not super important to me.
    Thanks again for another interesting vid.

    • @myvideosshared

      Hi John. I think the figures I used were the worst case scenario with the most expensive UK electricity rate. So if you can get a good deal or charge at night on a low rate, it can be a lot cheaper.
      They are great cars, and I think it would still save you money vs petrol - but you have to take into account the huge price of buying the car in the first place haha! Depends on what mileage you do with the CT200 I guess.

    • @Rjhs001
      @Rjhs001 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi JJ, yes I think I would have to have about 40k tied up in a Tesla whereas I have less than 10k in my CT200H. Mine was a bargain though!

    The difference with a regular sedan ie a regular gasoline powered sedan may actually pull a caravan. Tesla 3 must not pull anything weighing more than 900 kg on the towbar at least in Sweden . An average caravan in Sweden weighs 1600 kg. This problem applies not only to the Tesla 3, but also to other electric cars . Electric cars that get to pull 1600 kg on the towbar or more. There aren't many

    Tell me how many miles you got in your model 3 so far. Any issues? How much you spend monthly on charging? I have a grandfather plan from Southern California Edison electric co. Off peak hours: 10pm - 8am would .16 per kWh. Edison co consider expensive energy in Southern California. My nephew lives in Anaheim with their own city power energy co due to Disneyland. He pays .14 per kWh all day but if he uses a lot energy it would be .18 per kWh plan.

    • @JJonCars
      @JJonCars  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I thought when I got back in the CLK after reviewing the Tesla, that it would feel old fashioned, that the noise of the engine would sound coarse, and that I'd want to be back with the electric silence of the Tesla.
      But honestly, I was happy to hear the engine fire up, the sound of the internal combustion engine that is so familiar to me. The kompressor engine in the CLK has its own signature - the sound that I know, and it's the same for all ICEs. That is lost with electric. Most people who grow up with electric cars won't know or care what came before, but we will :)
      The good news is, or at least I believe - we will always be able to drive ICE cars long after most people have switched to electric. See you at a classic ICE show in a few years :)
