I have 1.6 patrol 2008..it does not pick speed quick and engine is loud i feel...any feed back from other users on 1.6 patrol 2008?

You said its comes in a 6 speed manual? I cant find one with a manual gear box?

As you may know, I had the Infiniti Q30 Business Executive, sitting in it was like sitting in a Mercedes A class, all the dash and switchgear was pure Mercedes. It was powered by the Renault 1.5 diesel turbo which gave out a suitable amount of power for it's size. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the only thing Nissan about it was that it was built in Sunderland, and they may have had some input on the styling. So after 5 years of ownership from almost new, I thought the transition to Mercedes was the logical step....how wrong was I? I traded (whilst there was still some value in the Infiniti, given that values were dropping after Infiniti pulled out of the European market) for the C200 Mild Hybrid Estate (Premium Sport - Allegedly) and to be fair I liked it, but it wasn't for me. So I took a 3 grand hit on the bank, and sold it to the online people that give you a quote in 30 seconds, and then send emails, approximately every 30 seconds until you block them, and bought a cheap Nissan Note, and so the cycle begins again. I did recently buy a SAAB 93 convertible, FSH and well maintained, and it will be going for a full service and once over at a specialist on Thursday, so I may well come back to you with updates on that, or I may just risk the Mac road and let you review it :) Biggest mistake I made was getting rid of the Infiniti, I fu***ng loved that car!

I had a Black 1993/94 M reg 4-door P10 Primera 1.6 L single point injection, no rev counter , keep fit windows all round manual sun roof, it had 165 SR 13 tyres, yes 13 inch wheels just like my Sunny's ( had 3 of them , good cars ) This Primera was a good car had it for 4 years never never let me down always first turn of the key. I did do a few mild up grades I fitted front fog lights from car in the scrap yard and also taken the blanking cap off the rear left tail lights and fitted a bulb so then I had a left side fog light the UK car had one right side fog light. This is one good car it was that good I bought another one and it was one of the last a silver 2001 51 reg 5 door estate P11-144 Primera 2.0i Sport Plus multi point injection it had every thing including A/C, elec sun roof and a 6 disc CD auto changer in the boot bigger wheels 205/55 SR 16 alloys, had this car nearly 7 years only let me down once, not a big problem, needed a new battery after 3 years it started with jump leads from the black Primera as like the other one always started on first turn of the key. Both Primeras past MOT first time no failures, sold them on about 8 years ago I do miss them. Great video

I've had this same car for 3 years always had a clunk noise when changing gears 2and and 3rd mainly sometimes 4th gear. Recently had new clutch and flywheel and still does it. Anyone else get this

I’ve got a 1991 190E 2.0 , I bought it when I was 21, I’m now 41. It was the best £1500 I ever spent. I’ve had other mercs down through the years, but I could never let the 190E go. Pure class.

Ain’t a sub 10k challenge without a BMW 5 GT, sooo much car for the money. Well ahead of it’s time

Hi there, I bought an Auris back in 2020. It is the best care I have ever had! Still love it. In my opinion it has a very warm, but old soul. Go careful thinking that any real AMG is the same car as the other models apart from the fuel costs. You would be in for a shock when you need a service brake overall or suspension work !

Renault Laguna Coupe with one of the V6 engines, either VQ35 or 3.0 diesel. Rear wheel steering and a tail people sometimes confuse for an Aston or later Merc coupe

My next car, which I referred to on a previous post, might fit into your criteria but is going to be well outside the upper price limit you set. I like the 190, some people might think it’s a car for people older than 60 but it’s a quality car, well built(before Mercs issues with steel quality on some later cars). Yes Diesel cars were encouraged in the 90’s for fuel economy and some people even said they were “better for the environment”, a lot of French cars were Diesels in the 90’s and early 2000’s, how thinking has changed! Especially since “Dieselgate”. I believe the top 190 model was the “Cosworth”which are pretty expensive to buy if you can find one. Well built cars that are still capable and can cope as a daily driver. Good review JJ, enjoyed it.

Lexus is250 is one that appeals to me.

I got mine with a 130 TCe 1.4 petrol dirt cheap. It drives well and looks fairly cool. But engine is shakey when its cold, seems to be this way from factory and you cannot do anything about it. Used prices for these are really low. Fuel consumption is meh. A bit too high. But for the price I paid it is hard to get anything nearly as cool and good to drive like this sporty megane.

V6 is the delta engine same as in Santa fe

I can see you in a Citroën DS23 Pallas. Absolutely brilliant car with a suspension that is out of this world. Engine power wouldn't bowl you over, but this car is all about comfort. Unfortunately, these cars cost a fortune now, if they are in decent condition. You might like a Citroën C5 III (X7) as well. Very sleek looking and super reliable. The suspension is much more clever than that of the DS23, but it is also a lot stiffer. Still a very comfortable and very safe hydropneumatic suspension, but the car's ride is nowhere near the "magic carpet" ride of the DS23. While we are at it, have a look at the Citroën CX as well. As quirky as it gets with Citroën. Definitely a unique look, inside and outside, and a suspension that is closer to the DS23 than the C5 III. You'd probably would have to be cautious about rust with the older Citroëns but should have zero issues with a C5 III.

I normally use Done deal in Ireland, cars are much more expensive here and tax is also more expensive so owning a second car would have to be a classic really if I was looking for something affordable. If I could buy something as an extra car, I'd probably buy an older Suzuki Jimny or a Fiat 595 maybe 🤔. I spend half the time looking at bikes as do looking at cars 😂. But I'd love a classic mini with a motorbike engine something like a V twin V Strom 1000 engine would be ideal 😂

You've got some crackers there! Like you, I like to watch these types of videos then go on to AutoTrader checking out what's available - and thinking - maybe! Then the logical head kicks in and I check out the insurance and road tax which brings me back down to earth!

Is it reliable to be driven in uae ? Or will it get weared out very fast due to high temperature ?

Excellent choices. I am currently looking to spoil myself up to £10k and all of those cars are on my list. You did miss the Citroen C6, Alfa Romeo Brera and the Lexus GS450h though. I think it will be the XK for me….

Renault Vel Satis is probably up your street. I have had mine since 2018, and it's very interesting.

Liking this style of video, it gives you lots of options for future ones … many of us trawl through Auto Trader with our ‘if only’ dream hats on!
