- Rub recipe: 3 Tbs turbinado sugar, 2 Tbs kosher salt, 1 1/2 Tbs smoked paprika, 1 Tbs dry mustard, 1 Tbs chili powder, 1 Tbs fresh ground pepper, 1 Tbs garlic powder (not garlic salt), and 1 Tbs onion piwder.
It was nice to see you take advantage of the cooking space of the 1600. I don't fill mine up too often but its nice to have the option to do so. Thank you for another great cook!

looks amazing. couldnt find this smoker anywhere. sold out. had to go deeper into my pockets for the traeger timberline 1300.
That was one of the grills I was looking at also, wanted it to be a little bigger and have the direct sear feature. How do you like your Timberline? The other one I was checking out was the Recteq BFG2500. Wow, one heck of a grill. Overall I am very happy with the Pit Boss, I am going to do the update, looking forward to posting another grill!

Do you have 10 degrees increments on your controller
@@markrambow8615 Not yet, I have not had a chance to send the controller in. Wish Pit Boss would have had that done before the release of the 1600.. Other than a couple of quirky things (rack holder should have been lower on back so you can utilize it with the lid up, and use 2 screws where the legs attach to the bottom shelf), other than that it is exactly what I was looking for in a smoker/grill.

Awesome video! Any issues with the grill after a couple years of use?
This has been a great grill/smoker!!! I would definitely buy it again. I have not upgraded the controller yet, I would like the closer temp intervals, otherwise no issues. That being said, I also clean it regularly and I keep it covered in a garage so the pellets remain dry.
