A good friend of mine owned two Festivas in the mid to late 90s, a silver one and a red one just like this one. I can't tell you how many road trips and how many great times we had with them. Man I hope Randy gets it! They're actually pretty fun cars to drive for what they are, too.
That smoke isnt from burning oil its clearly pretty light in color so probably a mixture of coolant and the fact that thing sat for a while probably bad gas.. If it was smoking like that at idle from burning oil pretty sure it would be soo worn out that it wouldnt be able to even start.. Poor thing was overheated and the temp gauge doesnt work..
Daver G that’s true to.. struts are not a bank breaker for the car , it’s the labor cost from these shady shops that hits you, good thing I do my own work lol , the MBZ is pretty easy to work on to be honest , every thing pretty straight forward ( sometimes)
The shoeless GMC Sierra Z-71 for $800.00, I like it & 5.3's are plentiful but, I am wondering if simply changing the main & rod bearings with standard size bearings would help the oil pressure? Or a new oil pump? Either way, I'd take it! It beats a old rusty 4 banger economy car that's for sure! Make the Mercedes CL-500 a track toy, strip it out & go drifting & rebuild the Sierra, Looks sick in black!
The CL would be great to part out. Maybe float the idea to the bearded fellow's kids. Dunno if they have the interest, but would definitely be worth their while. It takes about 80-100 hours to completely process a car (that's stripped, listed & shipped); there's easily $5000 in sales on that one. BTW if the ABC controls aren't working, it's probably been converted to standard shocks & struts.
Hmm..You can sell a Trk to anybody any day of the week....Trks down South of you even 1990's models going from $3-5000.00 all day if in good shape and no rust....

The oil pressure is just a sensor I had one go out on my 07 Silverado with the 5.3 that’s why the check engine lights on, that was a gorgeous truck man!
I bought a slightly used one when I was in college. It was a red, 1991 Festiva with a 4-speed, air conditioning and AMFM cassette, $5000. It might not look cool, but that car would not die. I drove it from Ohio to California, Ohio to NYC, to NOLA, etc. It even did okay in the snow as front wheel drive manuals do. I'd love to find a late '70s/early '80s Fiesta
That Ford fiesta is a survivor. A little tlc and it'll go another 200,000. Needs rings head gasket gen maintenance, it's a keeper. I'd drive it. Any one remember the Dodge Omni with the hi/lo range trans?

The GMC pickup look like a great deal if you pick it up for $800 or so. That oil pressure does looks to be low, but I watched when you if started it the pressure said a little over 40PSI, check your video.
I'd been eyeballing that Festiva in your videos. It's basically an old Mazda. The smoke is most likley valve stem seals. I've owned plenty of them in the past and i've fixed plenty that were smoking replacing those seals.
Take in the fact the gmc isn’t 4x4 it’s only 2wd. With the large leveling kit that is horrible on the ball joints of the stock suspension and also at 166,000 the AFM SYSTEM FAILS AND LIFTER STICKS AND MESSES UP THE CAM. I have this style gmc and had it all taken out replaced with normal 5.3 truck cam and lifters and the afm deleted on my computer so it no longer works. Now I have a good truck !! Lol
That Mercedes is a nice Car & the TRUCK too the Engine in that TRUCK & MERCEDES sound good they both sound like they would run a long way I don't know you might could get a rebuild Title here in Arkansas for that MERCEDES by getting it inspected by the State of Arkansas I don't really know for sure it is ashamed about the MERCEDES either way because it is a very nice Car with a HEALTHY sounding V 8 ENGINE
A registration permit allows you to operate a vehicle in New Hampshire, and a title is proof of ownership. Does New Hampshire have a salvage title law? Yes, every salvage vehicle must have a salvage inspection before it can be registered. Once the vehicle is inspected, a (DSMV 547) will be issued. I guess u can in NH
Get the merc cl500 and make into a track day car, so get rid of all the seats and sell em put a roll cage in re-map it big breaks all the good stuff "the works!" Its Up to you...??? Plus put numbers onit, if you get it "lets say for $950" spend $1k onit sell it for $4-5k track car racing car? HAPPY DAYS
GMC wheels broke to much weight for the tires that on/off looks like a pedal boaster controller. Gives more power to the pedal which could had been to much for the tire. But for $800, you really should get and make it a contest give away. You, TK, and Monkey Mike, and Werid Beard. 4 by $800 about $230-250 each boast all your subs, and viewers.
I love the festiva! And the black truck has a pretty decent system in it. Car audio is my hobby and if that kicker amp is a Q which it looks like from the knob, it’s a $1000 amp! The sub is a Rockford P2 or P3. And the box is a fox box and probably one of the biggest names in prefab truck boxes! That’s probably 2k just in car audio equipment so they definitely loved that truck!!!

The GMC is looking good. I would also consider the ford fiesta as a project car. Btw, it awfully looks like a Kia Pride. Stay away from the Saturn, if I'm not mistaken it's exactly the same GMC Acadia and Chevy traverse, endless money pits and all sorts of problems.
The GMC truck at the end is a MUST BUY. You cannot let that truck get away from you. Throw on the black FUEL runs you used to have on the red truck (if they fit and if you still got them) because with a set of black aftermarkets and that system, plus all the upgrades that truck is the*Gleaming Light" if some high school student in the market for his first car. I guarantee you there a kid out there that mowed lawns all summer and had a paper route and saved all his money to buy his first truck and his dad will cover the difference. (do they even have paper routes anymore? 🤣🤣). But yeah that's a fantastic first truck for a youngster and I guarantee you it will catch eyes and it's an easy easy easy sale. Probably easily bring in 3500 to 4000. Even with a salvage title. Your getting so much value in those aftermarket upgrades. Usually those upgrades don't do much on value on newer truck but once you get into the bottom range in value where the car bottoms out and can't go any lower, that's when those items bring there price right back up. If you need buying that truck you'll kick yourself. You need to start buying cars that make a profit so you don't have to help relying on TH-cam revenue to cover losses. You'll get those views anyway with cars and trucks that look as good as that black GMC. 100 PERCENT. (I bet you Lucky would jump all over that truck cuz he already knows what's up)

3.6L GM is a horrific motor unless the owner knows the trick to keeping the rear or RH (depends on orientation) timing chain from stretching and if the transmission valve body is sticking...most shops want to do the whole trans, but the TecM replacement & re-flash job is $1800
Greenlight on the Sierra, CL and Festiva. The GM V6 is a no go. The Bonneville is my favorite of the set but the motor wasn't maintained properly. Overall, good walkthrough.
Pity about the Merc but maybe for the best that you can't title it - this was not a good period for M-B and the fiddled odo and non-functional suspension don't bode well. No such thing as a cheap Merc, they're mostly money pits especially if flooded out. Whilst I wouldn't be seen dead in it (I don't take roids or use Axe 😂) the Sierra bro truck would be an easy fix and a good flip. The Festiva would need more work, but they're solid little cars - sold in the UK as the Kia Pride (they came with whitewall tyres for some reason). The Fiesta is a totally different car, built here in the UK iirc and almost ubiquitous as a second car when I was growing up in the 80s. Shame about the Bonnie as I always liked them, but she sounds to be a very sick girl indeed :(
The GM3800 V6 is a great motor and will last forever, but like all motors if its neglected and abused it too will crap out sooner than later. People get the Ford Fiesta mixed up with the Festiva. They look kinda alike but the first gen Fiesta imported to the Us was made in Germany and had a cool little Ford 1600 OHV pushrod motor that could be hopped up It was a Mini killer. The first gen Festiva was a Mazda design and made in Asia, the US version was made in Japan. Not as sporty as the Fiesta and not worth as much. Maybe I heard wrong but can't you retitle a car with a clean rebuilt title after it's been inspected by a state official? Maybe not in Oklahoma?
The Festiva the Aspire and the ugly Chevy Le Mans were made by kia and that's how Kia got into the U.S. market, I had a 92 festiva a d drove the crap out of it, used it for my.y courier job and drove it from Modesto California to Vancouver B.C.. Canada 15 hour straight trip, drove great .
No. Vehicles that are titled as nonrepairable, junk, destruction, etc., are to be used as parts only or scrap vehicles. These vehicles are not to be sold as complete units (all in one piece) and you cannot apply for any type of title or registration in Kansas. You can register it at my house in New Hampshire. Lol
My mom has an 08 Buick Enclave which is the higher luxury version of the outlook and it has 180k on it and it is absolutely immaculate! I love the enclave, outlook, Acadia, and traverse!

I used to buy junk titles and sell them in Sonora Mexico. I'm a Gringo. Sonora Mexico will allow a Frontier registration and plate which means the car can only be driven in Sonora Mexico. The Cartels yes, they run the country, but It's not the Hollywood cartels. It's a business/company that does a lot more than sell dope. My salesman was an ex police chief. I could cross the border with him in the car. Keep it in mind if you buy the car. It's not illegal.... Keep hustling young timer you have a gift....
Oil pressure sending switch very common culprit on those year model 5.3s. I'd guarantee it. I've replaced a few for friends and family. About a $60 ac delco part. The screen gets clogged on those units with heat cycles and miles. Nothing to worry about
You probably just need a friend at the DMV who'll do what's necessary to register than CL500. Let's face it. It's all a matter of making a few adjustments to a database.

My 05 GMC 5.3 with 200K miles did the same thing on oil pressure. Never had any issues out of it. Ran fine until I traded it for an 18.

I'd been eyeballing that Festiva in your videos. It's basically an old Mazda. The smoke is most likley valve stem seals. I've owned plenty of them in the past and i've fixed plenty that were smoking replacing those seals.
Take in the fact the gmc isn’t 4x4 it’s only 2wd. With the large leveling kit that is horrible on the ball joints of the stock suspension and also at 166,000 the AFM SYSTEM FAILS AND LIFTER STICKS AND MESSES UP THE CAM. I have this style gmc and had it all taken out replaced with normal 5.3 truck cam and lifters and the afm deleted on my computer so it no longer works. Now I have a good truck !! Lol
Maybe you can get the title rebuilt for the Mercedes in another state?
That Mercedes is a nice Car & the TRUCK too the Engine in that TRUCK & MERCEDES sound good they both sound like they would run a long way I don't know you might could get a rebuild Title here in Arkansas for that MERCEDES by getting it inspected by the State of Arkansas I don't really know for sure it is ashamed about the MERCEDES either way because it is a very nice Car with a HEALTHY sounding V 8 ENGINE

Get the merc cl500 and make into a track day car, so get rid of all the seats and sell em put a roll cage in re-map it big breaks all the good stuff "the works!" Its Up to you...??? Plus put numbers onit, if you get it "lets say for $950" spend $1k onit sell it for $4-5k track car racing car? HAPPY DAYS
GMC wheels broke to much weight for the tires that on/off looks like a pedal boaster controller. Gives more power to the pedal which could had been to much for the tire. But for $800, you really should get and make it a contest give away. You, TK, and Monkey Mike, and Werid Beard. 4 by $800 about $230-250 each boast all your subs, and viewers.
I love the festiva! And the black truck has a pretty decent system in it. Car audio is my hobby and if that kicker amp is a Q which it looks like from the knob, it’s a $1000 amp! The sub is a Rockford P2 or P3. And the box is a fox box and probably one of the biggest names in prefab truck boxes! That’s probably 2k just in car audio equipment so they definitely loved that truck!!!

The GMC is looking good. I would also consider the ford fiesta as a project car. Btw, it awfully looks like a Kia Pride. Stay away from the Saturn, if I'm not mistaken it's exactly the same GMC Acadia and Chevy traverse, endless money pits and all sorts of problems.

The GMC truck at the end is a MUST BUY. You cannot let that truck get away from you. Throw on the black FUEL runs you used to have on the red truck (if they fit and if you still got them) because with a set of black aftermarkets and that system, plus all the upgrades that truck is the*Gleaming Light" if some high school student in the market for his first car. I guarantee you there a kid out there that mowed lawns all summer and had a paper route and saved all his money to buy his first truck and his dad will cover the difference. (do they even have paper routes anymore? 🤣🤣). But yeah that's a fantastic first truck for a youngster and I guarantee you it will catch eyes and it's an easy easy easy sale. Probably easily bring in 3500 to 4000. Even with a salvage title. Your getting so much value in those aftermarket upgrades. Usually those upgrades don't do much on value on newer truck but once you get into the bottom range in value where the car bottoms out and can't go any lower, that's when those items bring there price right back up. If you need buying that truck you'll kick yourself. You need to start buying cars that make a profit so you don't have to help relying on TH-cam revenue to cover losses. You'll get those views anyway with cars and trucks that look as good as that black GMC. 100 PERCENT. (I bet you Lucky would jump all over that truck cuz he already knows what's up)

3.6L GM is a horrific motor unless the owner knows the trick to keeping the rear or RH (depends on orientation) timing chain from stretching and if the transmission valve body is sticking...most shops want to do the whole trans, but the TecM replacement & re-flash job is $1800
Greenlight on the Sierra, CL and Festiva. The GM V6 is a no go. The Bonneville is my favorite of the set but the motor wasn't maintained properly. Overall, good walkthrough.

Pity about the Merc but maybe for the best that you can't title it - this was not a good period for M-B and the fiddled odo and non-functional suspension don't bode well. No such thing as a cheap Merc, they're mostly money pits especially if flooded out.
Whilst I wouldn't be seen dead in it (I don't take roids or use Axe 😂) the Sierra bro truck would be an easy fix and a good flip.
The Festiva would need more work, but they're solid little cars - sold in the UK as the Kia Pride (they came with whitewall tyres for some reason). The Fiesta is a totally different car, built here in the UK iirc and almost ubiquitous as a second car when I was growing up in the 80s.

The GM3800 V6 is a great motor and will last forever, but like all motors if its neglected and abused it too will crap out sooner than later. People get the Ford Fiesta mixed up with the Festiva. They look kinda alike but the first gen Fiesta imported to the Us was made in Germany and had a cool little Ford 1600 OHV pushrod motor that could be hopped up It was a Mini killer. The first gen Festiva was a Mazda design and made in Asia, the US version was made in Japan. Not as sporty as the Fiesta and not worth as much. Maybe I heard wrong but can't you retitle a car with a clean rebuilt title after it's been inspected by a state official? Maybe not in Oklahoma?
The Festiva the Aspire and the ugly Chevy Le Mans were made by kia and that's how Kia got into the U.S. market, I had a 92 festiva a d drove the crap out of it, used it for my.y courier job and drove it from Modesto California to Vancouver B.C.. Canada 15 hour straight trip, drove great .

No. Vehicles that are titled as nonrepairable, junk, destruction, etc., are to be used as parts only or scrap vehicles. These vehicles are not to be sold as complete units (all in one piece) and you cannot apply for any type of title or registration in Kansas. You can register it at my house in New Hampshire. Lol
My mom has an 08 Buick Enclave which is the higher luxury version of the outlook and it has 180k on it and it is absolutely immaculate! I love the enclave, outlook, Acadia, and traverse!

I used to buy junk titles and sell them in Sonora Mexico. I'm a Gringo. Sonora Mexico will allow a Frontier registration and plate which means the car can only be driven in Sonora Mexico. The Cartels yes, they run the country, but It's not the Hollywood cartels. It's a business/company that does a lot more than sell dope. My salesman was an ex police chief. Oil pressure sending switch very common culprit on those year model 5.3s. I'd guarantee it. I've replaced a few for friends and family. About a $60 ac delco part. The screen gets clogged on those units with heat cycles and miles. Nothing to worry about
You probably just need a friend at the DMV who'll do what's necessary to register than CL500. Let's face it. It's all a matter of making a few adjustments to a database.

You should get the Mercedes and the GMC pickup. They would both be great projects for your channel. It would be possible to rehab the Merc title in Arkansas. There might be a work around for OK as well.
