I’ve listened to the Gerry Rafferty rendition of this hundreds of times. I guess I’ll now be listening to the HSCC rendition from this point on. Wow does bring back memories of the wonderful 70s. Marvelous vocals and masterful musicianship.
Sensational to one and all, and also to the cameraman that gave everyone that had their solo specialty... but most of all hats off and respect to Jason McMahon on sax, who would've been feeling the pressure with that song with the million subscribers and watchers of this video... in the history of music there is only a handfull of songs that are known for their sax solos, and Baker Street is one of those songs... Good onya Jason... an extra mention to Tom Noonan for your littel flute solos, and I loved the Congas with Steve Todd, good stuff mate...

I was 15 in the summer of 1978 when I heard this song for the first time, and 'iconic' is exactly how I would have described it as well.

Its funny how songs can bring you back to a moment.... For me, this song, I remember hearing at the side of a pool during summer vacation when I was 8 years old in 1978. we were drinking orange crush and dancing to the music poolside. Such a great song and memory!

Adelaide Rocks. Your version is the absolute best ever. Baker Street was a "theme song" on a very long road trip we did in covid times. We travelled from Adelaide to Katherine across to Broome and down to Perth. When driving into a major town or city we would play this song. It was a sense of arrival. Every song you cover is so well arranged and so professional. Vocals and musicians and the whole vibe ("The Castle") is world class.

Some long and serious consideration must have gone into deciding to cover this song. BS is musical Royalty! It is the Mount Everest of songwriting, production and arrangement of its era. You guys pulled it off and made it an exceptional tribute by staying eerily close to the original arrangement and give it your all. That was a great call and the perfect way to mark the 1 million subs point.
Of ALL the covers you guys have done in the past few years, this ONE is my JAM. Man I love this song so much. Sitting in a parked car in the summer of the late seventies in Edmonton in front of Baker Center on a 105 street. Cant get better than this.
