A character who has gained more attention on youtube recently, thanks to the likes of the MajorKill video and such an overlooked character that I felt the desire to record something for of the greatest nightlord combatants and greatest imperium combatants during the heresy!

Sharrowkyn was not an ordinary Raven Guard Astartes, he was a member of the Mor Deythan, the "Shadow Masters". There were very few of them and it demanded a certain mutation of their geneseed if I have understood it correctly.They possesed the Shadow-walk ability (become invisible in plain view) of their Primarch who personally mentored them. Basically these are our Space Ninjas, pretty cool lore imo.
Heavily suggested he was Mor Deythan, but not confirmed...

Is his armor having similar shoulder guards to the Mor Deythan/Dark Fury.
An excellent sharpshooter, being able to snipe a Primarch like Fulgrim.

Oh how I wish someone would animate this glorious Duel. Lucius got cocky as usual and Sharrokyn made him pay for that, moving with unmatched speed and Ferocity. Loved this man

I’m a huge Raven Guard fan to begin with and Nykona Sharrowkyn is one of my favorite characters, but hearing this with your narration makes it even better! Incredible as always!

That quote brings me back when I fought Lucius in Horus Heresy Legions as Sharrowkyn.
Though the deliver of their lines were more so callbacks and not super accurate to this battle.
"You're no match for me" -Lucius
"You don't get to decide that, I do" -Nykona Sharrowkyn.
Sharrowkyn is legit named Astartes he beat lucius and moved on in the battlefield and didn't even take a look at the body. Lucius was nothing to him.....I hear he is still alive in statsis if he comes back he will end lucius.
I have wanted to see this fight for ages, I declare life to be good again
Fun fact Sharrowkyn was the only one to best Lucious The Eternal in a duel nd get away with it.

You could make the case, the emperor’s children, are the worst of the traitor legions. I can’t think of a single of their traitor marines, that had any sort of redeeming quality.
The only one whom has more plot armour than Lucius, is Abbadon.
Anyway, aside from my mini rant, you did a good job. I think Lucius is my second favourite of the voices you’ve done. First of course being Pertarabo.

While also pissing off as many people as possible and actively butchering thousands of humans too, and in a short story he's shown forcing dozens or more of newly made psykers to burn themselves out trying to break into a soulstone
Nah, they suck pre and post heresy. They don't stand out in any real way beyond supposedly striving to be good at everything. They're like the Ultra Marines, but Ultras pride themselves on their generalist nature that keeps them from being hard countered unlike other Legions. The difference is that they pretend to be oh so special but they aren't.
More plot armour than Abaddon is Lucius? And what about every Imperium character or our beloved Kaldor Draigo?

Sharrowkyn is an absolute beast of a foe. He is up there with Sigusmund and Sevetar for swordplay. But he was also a Ravenguard. Which made him a deadly foe indeed!
The fact he took no pleasure in slaying that odious toad, who's name shall never be spoken takes some coldness on a whole different level.

I certainly want to cover more VtM, I love the universe. I may have a bit of a break from it once the clan stories are all out but I shall no doubt get back to it somewhat swiftly!

One of the greatest Raven guard
Lucius became and was and arrogant swordsman. His own skill was only that of a showoff. The Raven Guard...is blade in the dark that you don't see or even hear coming.
Tbh Lucius downfall was his arrogance once again.
Actually Sharrowkyn and Lucius are pretty evenly matched. It's stated in the story itself at one point.
Anyway. Lucius was so arrogant to throw his helmet away in the opening of the fight. That little act would prove crucial to the outcome of the battle.
Since at one moment of the battle where both are locked in close. Sharrowkyn uses his armored head to crush directly into Lucius unarmored face. From that moment onwards Lucius vision is a bit fuzzy due to blood running into his eyes. In a fight against an opponent that uses stealth and speed such an injury is really bad. And it creates a window of time in which Lucius can't defend himself.
Sharrowkyn capitalizes on that big times and cuts him to pieces.
Now what is interesting about this is that it's exactly the way Lucius got defeated 2 times before already.
Both Loken and Saul Tarvitz beat Lucius via punching him in the face basically.
That it's finally that exact move that leads to his death is kinda poetic in my opinion
I think a custodies could kill Lucius. They look down on marines to begin with and would find no pleasure in killing a caos champion, only look for another target.
But Lucius lived right?
Yes, he is still alive and active in the 40k timeline, Chaos seldom lets go of its toys.
No, Bile brought him back to life and he has died multiple times but if his killer takes satisfaction in getting the kill then Lucius will take over that person and they will become him literally. So he has died but just comes back.
He got got here, but Bile brought him back and slaneesh gave him some of that Chaos BS to remain alive when killed. His killers will turn into him if they take pride in the kill.
If it weren't for Bile and Slaanesh. I bet Sharrowkyn would of permanently killed Lucius and Fulgrim.

Did this happen before or after lucius was chaos corrupted? Coz if lucius was already lucius the eternal and sharrowkyn didn't take any pleasure in killing him, that means lucius is truly dead? Coz lucius the eternal can only resurrect if his enemies take pride in killing him.
This was before. It was actualy the reason why Lucius curse works the way it does.
Since Sharrowkyn beat Lucius how come Lucius didn't reincarnate into Sharrowkyn?
Lucius can only reincarnate if you take pleasure killing him. He didn't have this power yet, this fight is the resson why he can reincarnate.

It was Fabius Bile.
Remember he was in the proximity at the time. How he could save Lucius after that wound is unknown though it's Fabius after all. Dude is known for shit like that.
Not sure when Lucius gets that infamous favor from Slaanesh. But he doesn't had it at that time. If Bile wasn't there chances aren't all that bad this would have been his final death.

I laugh at the people who think Lucius can best Kharn. Kharn has died once in 10,000 years. To Sigismund. Since then he hasn’t come close. Lucius he died many times and due to his hax code has he come back

No, Sharrowkyn moved on through the battlefield and took no pride in killing him. Lucius was revived by Slannesh this time. He can only take over someone's body if they show pride or excitement in the act of killing him. I believe Sharrowkyn is still alive in the common age.
