  • Instead of a grass lawn, I now grow over 30 kinds of fruit and nuts! This home orchard tour will go through EVERYTHING I've planted over the last 4 years, and include some honorable mentions that aren't fruit. I've included the variety names for the ones I remember!
    📚 SOURCES
If you're shopping for fruit-producing plants, I recommend local nurseries with staff that are experienced with growing in your area first! But if you're looking for rare, unique, or experimental varieties, I recommend Raintree Nursery and One Green World. I've had medium success with Stark Bros., but they're the only place to get the Sweetheart Apricot.

You have such a beautiful garden, thank you for sharing it with us! I really enjoyed this video, and your sentiment about not waiting for ideal conditions. I had a similar thought in my own garden today, behind schedule and overwhelmed with vegetable planting. Full on analysis paralysis! I finally had a moment of calm and told myself that it doesn’t have to be perfect, it just needs to get planted. Definitely helped lighten the pressure!

I'm glad to hear that! I feel the same way in my garden a lot, especially this year - I've had to remind myself not to take it too seriously many times! Thanks for watching!

Loved the setup of your orchard!!! The only cherries 🍒 I’m able to grow here in Texas is the Barbados variety which is in a container that comes in every winter 🥶. That black peach 🍑 has me INTERESTED but I’m completely out of space 😫😩. Thanks for sharing and stay blessed!

Thank you! That’s really cool that you can still grow cherries that far south. Admitting when we’re out of space is the hardest thing 😫 I’m in denial

Hello! For the stunted tree, try watering it with raw milk! We had two straggly trees and after watering them with raw milk they're coming back to life.

I have a fence line in my backyard at least 100 feet that I would like to grow berries on. I have some wild raspberry vines that pop up in some areas. What varieties are you growing? They look like they really produce a lot of fruit.

That sounds amazing! I have Anne Gold, Double Gold and Crimson Night - the Anne Gold are a little floral and light, but still good!

@0:51 I spy the infamous Japanese Beetle! Those things disintegrated my raspberries this year along with my apple trees. 😢 its my first year dealing with them. I moved to zone 7a three years ago and havent got a proper introduction with those dang things until this year.... hope they werent too bad on ya. I'll be ready for em next year.

Omg I completely missed that!!! We don’t typically have them in big numbers where I live but I know it can get out of control fast… thank you for the heads up!

Although upon further inspection I think that one might be a fly, but it has the same coloring as the Japanese beetle!
