Tomatoes, strawberries, and spinach has been my white whales. Swiss chard, kale and bok choi has been rock stars in my little garden

Those can definitely be challenging! I feel like tomatoes are another one that shows up on all the “easy to grow” lists but can actually be pretty tough. Bok choi is one of my favorites, I want to see if I can grow some indoors this winter!

What a great list! I like to think a garden gets it's strength from biodiversity. I think I've just recently started some of that mini broccoli but we call it 'Yod Fah'. I have trouble with birds eating my squash flowers (i'm working on a net solution) my cucumbers have been able to outgrow the birds just barely; but the squash/pumpkin get picked clean every time.

Yes!! Biodiversity for the win. And it’s nice to expand your palate beyond what’s typically in a grocery store. Birds eating squash flowers is a new one for me, that is so interesting! I hope the netting works out well for you!
