This song is absolutely beautiful! He is my favorite Musician of all time, I can’t stop playing his music. Even my mom who is 82 knows all the words to his songs and sings along in the car 🎤🥰
Entiendo perfectamente como te sientes, conocí a Steven Wilson cuando ya tenía 40 años y me pasa lo mismo, no puedo dejar de escucharlo. Me despierto con su música, transcurre mi día con su música y me duermo con ella.
Mental note...don't watch Steve Wilson videos at work..."Are you crying???" Hey kids, wanna go to a rock show and have your emotions torn to shreds??? Jesus Christ. Steve Wilson is unique. The most amazing, unforgettable live show I will ever experience.
*WINNER, BEST HIDDEN WORKPLACE SOCIAL SUICIDE SURPRISE AUDIO BOMB:* And the Swallows Dance Above the Sun (Steven Wilson, Porcupine Tree). *_"I. Want. You To. Put. Felix's. Penis. On. Me."_* Cheers Steve; that's two jobs (and counting) I didn't need buddy ;)
I played this song from the album throughout 2020 over and over to get emotions out. I've been watching this live version throughout 2021...that guitar solo is amazing. the vibrato that bloke gets on the fretboard is amazing...and the slides up and down the fretboard. He looks like he should be standing OUTSIDE the venue, preventing you from going in...yet he's on the stage, blowing me away...
Apart from addressing the unborn children in the womb, I believe he's also calling out to those living a dead life (born but unborn, myself included). Every time I listen to this one, I step into a grander life, one without fear.
*Strenuously Pointless Communication Plan #68465:* Addressing Gestating Womb Inmates _"Hear me, denizens of the flesh: I AM YOUR LORD AND MASTER! (friends call me 'Steve')"_
I'm new to Steve Wilson, and oh my goodness. This song has reduced me to a tearful blob. What a sublime piece of music. I love that you can clearly hear the bass and vocals of Nick Beggs too. Oh man. Wow.
I hope I am not too late, but Steven Wilson is a phenomenal musician. If you haven’t done so already, I recommend checking out his old band Porcupine Tree and his side project, Blackfield. He is a master of melancholy.
This song got me past some life-threatening health issues. Steven's plea at the end "Don't be afraid to die/Don't be afraid to be alive" cut me to the core of my soul at a time I desperately needed to hear it. And that outro guitar solo may be one of the most beautiful I've ever heard. A perfect example of how a simple, tastefully done solo can sound so much better than an incredibly technical one.

Yeeeeeh another masterpiece this,,,that gitarplayer is soooo fine at that particular moment..also that ecclesiastical voice i hear..please mr Wilson put that in even more beautiful songs from you...you are really phenomenon for me for more than 30 years,
i don't think anything more about Steven Wilsons music can be said that hasn't been said already. So let me point out how incredibly perfect Nick Beggs playing and background vocals fit this song (and others too). Amazing musician.
I'm a big fan of SW in South Korea. I made a trip to Europe for a vacation with my wife and visited Barcelona on 17 Jan to see SW's To The Born tour. It was the second time for me to see his live after the Raven tour at Royal Albert Hall in 2013. At the moment I saw SW sing this song, I almost cried. I prefer this live version because of the guitar solo at the end.
i have adhd and i fully understand what it means...its all about adhd...the mental challenge we face of overthinking and how much we care makes the world hurt us. because we struggle to chsnge ourselves but frustration when we cant change the opinion of those people around us. being judged and judging ourselves all the fucking time hurts so much...fuck me. i wish...one day...that pain...no one can pretend to know or understand how or why our minds work the way they do. get over it. etc. we will NEVER BE UNDERSTOOD. but we can understand and begin to love and be at peace with ourselves and strive for more thsn complacincy, im terrified to live .... and afraid to die lonely with regrets but i wont with all the fire in me let that determine my life or how j live!!! im not high or drunk fuck you. this is what its like to live in a adhd head....

Saw this guy and his band live twice. The first time i got my mind and feelings blown. HOWEVER, the second time, i got my mind and feelings blown. Again. Oh well :)
So jealous! I would have paid do much, but I also in the US and missed him last time he came around :/ I do have this bluray and the video and sound quality is really amazing! I have watch it so many times, lol.
I've been blessed with seeing some great musicians in concert ie: Rush, Roger Waters, Marillion, and many more...Steven Wilson's shows are simply amazing, and the shows I've seen (4x) have an average crowd size of 750 to 1200...I'm an American and I dearly love my country, but the music scene here is atrocious... I met an englishman @ The Orange Peel in Asheville, NC and he said he went to all 3 shows @ Royal Albert Hall (which this song is from one of those shows)...by the way the drive from Indy 6 hrs, on the way home 11 hrs (by myself), Steven had to cut concert short due to wicked snow storm (3rd largest in history)...love new song personal shopper...hope he comes back to the states
I understand your concern brother, but see the thing is there are lots of people who don't have resources to buy music and gets to know such great artists . Anyway I'm just a small TH-camr less people will know .
Isn’t Alex Hutching on the solo ?? Wow it was time to see this great player on such project .. Wilson for ever since 1994!!!!!first was Small fish and I was like .. this is for me....
TTB is actually a very good album, very personal by Steven. Yeah it's not the prog masterpieces he's done before it, but this one is good enough on its own
This song is absolutely beautiful! He is my favorite Musician of all time, I can’t stop playing his music. Even my mom who is 82 knows all the words to his songs and sings along in the car 🎤🥰

Haha my Mom is 87 and lives with me. She sings along to his music too. He surpasses all generations!
Amazing song.
"Don't be afraid to die.... don't be afraid to be alive."
He's the best at writing sad stuff.
What about the line "The arc of your life can still be profound." That's the one that hits me hard. Yes, he is a master of melody and emotion.
@@alannicolle3361 same here. That's the most powerful line
That solo is insane...............what an outro beautiful
Just when you think this man can`t do anything better, he comes out with this. Absolute perfection
I only heard, "Shell of a Fighter" recently.
How could you think this man can't do any better in the first place?
I was right front of the stage in San Francisco and he ended the show with this song. I was in tears.
Mental note...don't watch Steve Wilson videos at work..."Are you crying???"
Hey kids, wanna go to a rock show and have your emotions torn to shreds??? Jesus Christ.
Steve Wilson is unique. The most amazing, unforgettable live show I will ever experience.
No doubt . He's my fave !
I had not read a more relatable comment in a long time

just found him on amazon last week, & now im hooked, great to hear real musicians at work, brilliant,
I needed some time to understand the lyrics as a german. But the effort was worth it. What a tune, what words. I am overwhelmed.
One of the most beautiful songs he's written I think

Probably top 5 SW songs this is just so beautiful.
You know i discovered STEVEN WILSON about 2 years ago.And ive indulged myself in all his work.Hes simply put A STAR.Mad love SW!
I think I've never cried so much in my life... Thank you Steven, your music is pure magic
Every time I listen to this song I cry. It touches me so much!
If you're not into Eminem & M&Ms I'll be marginally ambivalent.
Just put on this song and close your eyes for a while. Trust me you'll feel perfection in every second as the song pass.
Apart from addressing the unborn children in the womb, I believe he's also calling out to those living a dead life (born but unborn, myself included). Every time I listen to this one, I step into a grander life, one without fear.
the same that i was thinking... a dead life.

Just beautiful...this song reduces me to tears everytime. So moving, a stunning piece.
Man….Steven Wilson’s songs are so damn miserable that I actually feel privileged in my life just to be alive and pain free!!!🙏🏾
Miserable and beautiful at same time.
Geweldige text en muziekaal absolute top
Another masterpiece in Mr. Wilson's career. Absolutely, hands down, the best track on To The Bone.
All the pink floyd cliches as usual ....these new prog fans are so gullible ,,
@@kevcatnip7589 At 50 years old I hardly consider myself a new prog fan. To cliche for you? Then don't listen.
You could probably hear a pin drop in the Albert Hall during the pause!......WHAT AN AMAZING SONG!!!!
Even though pins are rather small, now they know how many pins it takes to fill the Albert Hall (one ;)
But they didn't even play "The Pin Drop" 😝😝
Truely great song from a truely great artist….looking forward to see him later this year in Amsterdam

Steven Wilson is a musical genius
Steven closed with this song @ The Vic in Chicago, one of the most powerful songs I've ever witnessed...
That's fucking amazing it has only dozens of likes but not thousands.
