This video brings up so many memories. I was at this concert 13 years ago. I was there on the left balkony with my dad and a couple bandmembers of the band i played in at that time. That band is no more, PT no longer performs an my dad past away several years ago. The only thing that still exist is this video and my memory. It feels like a past life..
Excellent concert never got chance to see PT but go to SW concerts as much as possible. The raven that refused to sing concert probably the best one ive ever been to
Sorry for your loss. But I feel that your memories of this concert should be priceless. It is only after watching the DVD that PT became my favorite band - In front of Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd which were unbeatable gods in my mind. I really whish I was there. But now, it is 2022, I will see them in Milan this year, and this is as awesome as unexpected.

It's been two years, and I'm still devastated that I found this band too late to see them live. :'( Edit: Yes - I got tickets for their new tour! I was at the Toronto show. It was great.
I can relate. I’ve never been one to go to concerts, but the vibe I’m getting from Porcupine Tree & fans makes me want to just be there. To be carried by a moment of beautiful unity.
Out at the train tracks I dream of escape But a song comes onto my iPod And I realize it's getting late And I can't take the staring And the sympathy And I don't like the questions "How do you feel?" "How's it going in school?" And "Do you wanna talk about it?" Way out Way out of here Fade out Fade out, vanish And I'm trying to forget you And I know that I will In a thousand years, or maybe a week Burn all your pictures, and cut out your face The shutters are down and the curtains are closed And I've covered my tracks Disposed of the car Trying to forget even your name and the way that you look When you're sleeping Dreaming of this Way out Way out of here Fade out Fade out, vanish

Porcupine Tree, the band whose live versions of all songs are even better than the studio versions. It's insane how good they are. And Wesley's voice is out of this world guys. Goosebumps all the way.
This song keeps reminding me of my "cousin." He was a child from a previous relationship of my uncle in law at the time. He had a mental illness that he had a very hard time dealing with. His real mother was out of the picture, and his father didn't give a shit about him because he wasn't perfect. My aunt was his only hope, and the only person in this world who really understand and cared for him. The only person he could talk to when he needed somebody to talk to. When his dad cheated on my aunt and after he heard the news they would break up and split ways, that devastated him so much! He saw no other way out of here. He jumped in front of a train just a couple weeks later. 😢 My aunt tried everything after the relationship ended, to stay in contact with him, to try and fix the relationship with his mother etc. In the end it didn't matter. She felt so guilty and torn apart afterwards....A train ended his life... RIP. Couple years later my aunt heard the news that his brother took an overdose and died aswell.😢 To me, it is still hard to believe that the guys that i grew up with, and had so much fun with when i was young...are both no longer here..😢 This song just hits so hard! Porcupine tree is just the best there is, and i'm so glad i saw them live in the ziggo dome last year. ❤
I don't care what anyone says, Steven Wilson with Porcupine Tree is better than Steven Wilson without Porcupine Tree!!! Why can't great bands like PT and Pink Floyd stay together and continue producing life -changing music?
People feel the need to move on. Peter Gabriel, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, and the list is practically endless. It's like staying the fries guy at McDonalds. At some point you want to move up to apple pies.
Steven's always been a super underrated guitarist imo. One of my favourites. And he can sing while playing some tricky parts as well. Makes it look effortless
he holds himself back in terms of technique - he's a really creative writer tho riff wise. this solo in particular is really nice and has some nice licks in it but tbh hes got some badddddd solos out there on some PT tracks lol XDDD. Just an opinion tho XDD
