This guy is absolutely the ONLY person who could have filled this role. He’s serious, yet silly. Tall, broad shouldered , and intimidating, but still with a massive heart. No one could ever do it better.
JamesfromNewZealand My response to everyone who likes Teen Titans Go and think they can make any good arguments as to WHY TTG is NOT an ungodly abomination of hell.
@@samtrotter7177 I'll admit that I miss the OG Teen Titans but it's pretty funny and sad seeing how people melt down over a show that's not targeted to them anymore. Guys, if you want mature superhero content, go watch Invincible.
Yeah, there is no contest. Dr Cox is the KING of sarcasm. Chandler is a "noobie" in comparison. Not even Dr House rises to the levels of sarcasm of Cox!

He's actually inspired by a physician out of Rhode Island. Unsure if this is known, but a couple of Brown Med students worked with this physician, which inspired him as writers
Performance of a lifetime. Though he never got a price EVERYONE who ever watched Scrubs by heart will know a thing or two about Perry from "Where Do You Think We Are?" to the brief scratch on the nose before the bomb explodes. A character whom I always carry with me and who made an impact to aaaaaa lot of us I guess.

Of all the things Dr Cox mocks and derides JD for, I find it hilarious that when JD can't get the tight shirt off properly, he just shrugs and says "It'll happen," implying that he's had the same trouble with his tight shirts. It may be the closest thing to empathy Dr. Cox ever shows to his protégé.
Can't believe he didn't win any award for his performance as Dr.Cox.
What a behemoth of a performance. The entire cast was fantastic.
He def should've at least been nominated for My Fallen Mentor
Yea that's some BS.
From the nerdy reporter in Any Given Sunday to his character in this show, dude’s legendary.
I’m sorry he WHAT
No one in television has better written sarcasm than Dr. Cox
Idk House is pretty good too. My two favorite tv doctors!
@@matth227 Both of them could argue with each other until the end of the universe.
Absolutely no one 😂
Ron Swanson: Hold my meat!!
None
My wife is a nurse. Her doctors say that Scrubs is TV's most realistic hospital show and Dr Cox is everyone's hero
No lies detected
Yea it's super highly praised in the medical community which is very impressive considering how funny and outlandish it is at the same time
I heard the same, also from a nurse
Green Wing is the same for the U.K.😂
I talked to doctors from Russia and Armenia and everyone who saw this series that this is the most plausible series about medicine
"And I am a doctor and we believe that without surgery a patient in your condition will suffer from a major case of deadness" 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Dr. Cox is a very underrated character in television history, everyone associates sarcasm with Chandler but really its Dr. Cox
Everyone? LOL
chandler from friends? i was a child when this series was a thing
Chandler was just a funny and adorable teddy bear. Watched Friends for the first time a few months ago 😂
Who is Chandler?
Yeah, there is no contest. Dr Cox is the KING of sarcasm. Chandler is a "noobie" in comparison. Not even Dr House rises to the levels of sarcasm of Cox!
Dr. Cox is one of the Top 10 sitcom characters of all time.
I don’t really consider scrubs a sitcom I always consider it a Dramedy
@@matth227 its much more of a sitcom than a drama but it definetely has its dramatic moments
Dr. Cox taught the most valuable lesson of all: the fact that people are bastard-coated bastards with bastard filling.

Now it's on Prime Video
STAN also has it too

The key to his character is that nobody ever interrupts him
That is part of the bit, but you know, there was one that did. Jordan walked away because she knew it was gonna be a long rant. That was priceless :D

John C. McGinley was brilliant in this role! How he never got an Emmy is beyond me!

One of *the* finest compilations of a truly magical character.
Here's looking at you, Dr Percival Ulysses Cox 🍻
Ulysses is a dope middle name
Always loved his rants.
Major case of Deadness
watching it for the second time and it still gets me in hysterics
God damn his rants got good.
I mean they were always good.
They got great.
Legendary.
"They are in a timeout because one of them used the phrase "let's rock and roll"" It was Rex wasn't it?
Well his license plate was once PARTYDOC...wouldn’t put it past him.
His multi-syllable "H" deserves an Emmy.
Could I have a example of it?

Reeeeaaaa HE HE HE HE HE HE HE llly long!
I've been in healthcare for 20 years and this is still the most accurate medical tv show ever.
Dr Cox would have made a better protagonist. He's simply the BEST Character in Scrubs.
I disagree. He is the perfect mentor for J.D.
If you like him as a protagonist you should watch House. It’s a very similar character

"I already set fire to a big pile of money just this morning" 😂😅
I just started working at a hospital as an ER social worker. I'm learning a lot from Dr. Cox about bedside manner.
Do you know the number one cause of death in the hospital
"Your Breath"
Infection and do you know how quickly infection spreads
"Your Breath"
that doesn't make sense
"Don't care"
Hazel Olive Yes. I also, in fact watched the video. Thanks anyway
If 'quickly' was omitted from Kelso's second sentence, it WOULD make sense.
That one ended me
Dr Cox savagery is boss level
One of the best written characters on tv
If Dr. Cox trained TH-cam algorithms...the world would be a better place.
“Lacey, over pillowed, four poster virgin cocoon you call a bed”....I sooo want to use that one day!
Any1 else wish we had a House Scrubs cross over. I want to see House and Cox interact.
That would be awesome
