Plot:

barbossa is one of my favorite parts of the franchise, i especially love how in this one he’s like this gilded pirate pimp. they can also manage to have some good villians although they ruined captain salazar with the distracting wavy cgi hair. also love me gibbs and the two british guards from the first movie. there are other things that make the franchise lovable than johnny depp, but yeah they can’t just make the 6th one with the same people and just act like jack died off screen or something, no one will buy it.
Jack and Barbossa are the best duo when it comes to Pirates francise. They like and hate each other at the same time, but never refuse to help each other when one of them in big trouble. They will go as far as one can go when one of them 'died'. They agree to disagree in their own unique way, they insult each other but also can't do without each other to accomplish lots of the quests. I love Johnny, he is almost everyone favourite and the next movie without him will be something I don't think I want to watch. Some more, if Barbossa really died and Rush isn't in it anymore, I'm done. If there is no Johnny, the movie is never going to be the same ever. Period!!

Great description. It absolutely is. Everyone has equal importance to the making of the scene, and we have to work with and around each other in order for it to work. There's a lot of planning and prep, but when everything falls into place, it's incredibly satisfying.

You can really tell how much Johnny enjoyed doing all the POTC movies. In all the behind the scenes he always looks like he's truly enjoying himself. He really made CJS his own character and he was so loyal and dedicated to him. He will be sorely missed as Captain Jack.

Frida pw He hasn't really aged much really, I was thinking that maybe they'd use make up to age Jack a bit more, since it's set in the mid 17th century and people didn't age as well back then.
So if anything he hasn't aged enough. Let's say Jack was around 30 in the first film, then add say 18 years that would make him 48 by the 5th film, the average lifespan back then was only 50, it doesn't make much sense.

I must say, among all the villains POTC had, Capt. Salazar scared the hell out of me the most. The man did an awesome job.
I love how they did everything with practical effects. A lot of work is required but it pays off. Everything in the movie looks real and authentic and anything that had to be CGI blended in very well. Five star movie.
Great movie, VERY entertaining. Screw the rotten tomatoes critics. If you haven't already, go watch it. Great pirate movie.
