Trust after two weeks you would want to go home. Your not relaxing In the Caribbean, your either working, waiting , or back on those boats. 15 hour days with no breaks are common for these big shoots. And that’s why soon Hollywood workers wil strike.
He said during this current trial that no matter what Disney offered him he wouldn't return because of the way they were so quick to judge him and believe the lies amber turd spread. Very sad and I wouldn't watch a Pirates movie without him in it either. 😢 I really hope that he wins in court.

All those practical sets were worth it, CGI cannot match it. To this day Dead Man's Chest and At World's End are some of the best looking films ever made, far beyond 4 and 5

I was too young when I watched this movie and didn’t really understand it to the fullest but just enjoy the action filled thrilling scenes. But now. Wow. Look at the casts!!!!!!! Im gonna watch this again even though I hate watching the same movie more than once. It’s been long enough I forgot much about it anyway

A lot of people don't understand is when you're filming on locations particularly ones that are in the middle of nowhere you have to bring a whole catering staff along with you because it's not just the actors it's the whole Crew that have to be fed so it's very very expensive but in a long run it's worth this is one area that you cannot skimp on
i agree, one of the things that makes these movies special is that they are (mostly) filmed on location and not green screen. also using the actual ships might have been a nightmare but it adds so much authenticity and immersion to the movies when you feel like YOURE on an actual boat with the characters (through the camera). it must be a nightmare in many respects but filming on location for any movie will make it feel more real.
I think a lot of people don't understand a lot in general. I was surprised to learn how much of our population spends their days behind a desk. There are so many interesting jobs in the world that can really enrich your life far beyond what money could ever do. People really limit themselves to what's familiar and safe. Filming these pirate movies definitely wasn't as magical as these compilations make it out to be - that's just not possible. But the final result is beautiful. Everyone should be proud to have been a part of it.
I hope they do and it completely bombs just so Disney realizes the biggest fucking mistake they've ever made since they screwed over Robin Williams in the Aladdin debacle. Whoever sat around the conference table and said hey, let's dump one of our biggest money making actors before the trial ends and we know if he's innocent or not....should be fired. Even more reason for the jury to come back and say he wins so Disney has egg on their face.

Such a huge movie, obviously will face BIG challenges, they managed to pull it off and had success. There are definitely some memorable shocking scenes in the pirates of the Caribbean, incredible how many people appreciated this movie, I only watch some of the series, this movie was over whelming in an unexpected way.
Verbinski's tale telling is incredible. Directing an entire trilogy which is still famous for it's humor, graphical effects, and storyline is difficult. He did it fabulously. So did the actors with their portrayal of their characters. It's such a shame they replaced him for the last two.

How can you not love Jack Sparrow. Johnny Depp is a genius with developing multidimensional characters. He is a true character actor and the world's finest.
I wish we could just watch a full film with these videos. Tired of finding new footage with every new compilation someone uploads. Apparently the footage is there, just give us everything.
I adore these movies ...The first three, that is. The second and third one are unironically two of my favourite movies of all time. You can just watch them over and over. They're so much fun and very cozy. Hollywood just doesn't make pure adventure genre swashbuckling epics like this anymore, now it's all just superhero and cinematic universe stuff.
Imagine helping to build a character as enormous as this.... bringing it to life and creating a great franchise...... and then have it ripped away a false allegation! Poor johnny
What I like about the 3 films was that the swordfighting each film they decided to one up every sword fighting scene that they potentially could do and that Ferris wheel sword fight between the 3 of them rolling around and having them experience weightlessness and still fighting with swords and everything that you could do simultaneously is one of the most expensive difficult sword fighting scenes ever put on film You compare that with the princess bride and some of the sword fighting scenes from Catherine island

Greatest shows of my 35 years of Hollywood MovieTV that I worked on !!! St. Vincent was an amazing time for a couple of months with long hours and hard work but the most adventurous of shows !!!
I was on location for all three of these productions. It was paradise for the first three days, then it was torture. Absolutely some fun, but difficult working conditions. You know who had fun, the wives/girlfriends/boyfriends of the crew.

Everything about PotC 1 - 3 is wonderful, absolute pieces of art. Some of my favorite movies of all time, thanks to everyone involved in the making.
