EVERYONE involved in the making of this movie deserved to be praised for his/her hard work. I absolutely smiled when Keira at 26:43 mentioned "for someone as lazy as me that was rather challenging" when doing stunt work. Then the story of her jumping off the board platform after standing on it for two days. 😊 She was brilliant, as well as all the actors and actresses. ❤

I was born the year this released and when i fist saw the movie i was scared but loved it. Now that i am 17 and rewatched all the movies, i can say that i love it even more and it indefinitely one of the greatest movie series to date.
When I saw your post I said to myself, that can’t be right. So I checked IMDb to prove you right and I could not believe the first one came out in 2003. 😳 I’ve rewatched them all, however, the original one I’ve watched hundreds and hundreds of time. I know every word spoken. It is by far a terrific series. I’m so glad you have enjoyed them as well. 🏴☠️⚓️
It occurs to me that one woman, Amber Heard, has destroyed all this and put hundreds of artisans, professionals and experts at their craft, out of work with the cancellation by Disney of Johnny Depp's proposed contract for Prates #6. I hope these professionals can bring a class action suit against her. The damage she has done is incalculable.

The level of genius and coordination is just mind blowing. Then you think of the insipid narcissist that was finally put on display in the past months. I remember going to see the movie as a teenager, having never heard anything about it. My friend just told me that it was a pirates movie with zombies. So everything in this movie was a total surprise. It was scary, funny and epic. I'm so grateful that the plot twist hit me with its full power!

Thank you for sharing this. I'm 57, I had the rare opportunity of growing up in Riverside, about an hour outside of Anaheim. We went to Disneyland all the time including on such rare occasions where they closed the park to everyone but specific parties. You literally ran from ride to ride, or just rode the same rides over and over. We loved Pirates of the Caribbean, practically memorized the ride and the song. Having moved to Oregon, when my son was about 10 years old another rare opportunity arose where they made an offer to go to Disneyland for 5 days with hotel, etc. We went. Every morning we were there at opening, and went straight to Pirates of the Carribean. When the first movie came out, we were right there. What a fun experience for us. Now, in and amidst this pandemic, they are talking about doing another one. The heart races! The idea of visiting that time again,..... like Jack says, what kid doesn't dream of being a pirate.
Absolutely amazing how much work, design and professionalism goes into making such an awesome movie! I live on the Gold Coast Australia and while Johnny and crew were filming in various locations here, it was such a buzz to know he/they were right here where I live and work! One location they filmed at was ‘The Spit’ at Main Beach, one of my favourite pieces of paradise to chill and enjoy the GC and they were filming there, it’s was so exciting! We drove to another film set at the back of our local train station in Helensvale. Filming was halted as trains went through because of the noise, we drove there to see it, security wouldn’t allow us any closer of course. It was literally an open sided container in the middle of a field, crazy really. My neighbour worked on the lighting and sound at the Movie World studios (at our local theme park) There were updates on local news constantly of some of the actors/actresses being spotted shopping/dining, Johnny spotted at a hairdresser etc. It was so exciting living where an amazing movie was being filmed and that JD and crew were here on our doorstep! (The house that JD stayed in whilst filming here is one my husband has worked in, for both aircon and security over the years, my hubby knows the owner 😊) 🎥🍿🎥🍿🎥🍿

I last saw this film at the Albert Hall with the score performed in real time with full orchestra and choir, and it was sooooo good! I’m disappointed there’s not a mention of creation of the music and filming the score. The biggest loss of DVD features like this is that you can't see the real heroes of a movie, the crew. These movies don't happen without the crew putting in more work than anyone else and you don't get to see that highlighted anymore.
I never checked out the extras before but lost my internet link and cable for a few months and just had a few hundred DVD's/BR. I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed the commentary tracks to the point of watching them before i watch the movie at least half of the time. sometimes I never even watch the movie properly as these days we seem to have reached a point where movie releases are like video games in terms of the majority of both should never have been made
Johnny, Geoffrey, Orlando and Keira are just your perfect picks for these characters! The faces of this film and the hundreds of talented artisans working their parts as a team and the crew feeding them .. putting all this adventure together makes this the pirate film that it is today !! . . . This is beyond amazing! In all of my years I don't recall wanting to learn the behind the scenes of any movie. This is by far the most intriguing and interesting I have ever watched! I watched the pirates movies and enjoyed them...but this is genius! One of my favorite parts of this is when they showed and explained how they did the cgi for the skeleton crew. I would love to have a few of those pictures in frames to hang on my walls

Everyone on the cast seems so nice I swear they all are so nice and funny and they went through so much work in making all the movies and that's just something to appreciate. Thanks to the cast for makings 5 AMAZING movies that we will never forget in our life. ❤️✨😘

I was born the year this released and when i fist saw the movie i was scared but loved it. Now that i am 17 and rewatched all the movies, i can say that i love it even more and it indefinitely one of the greatest movie series to date.
When I saw your post I said to myself, that can’t be right. So I checked IMDb to prove you right and I could not believe the first one came out in 2003. 😳 I’ve rewatched them all, however, the original one I’ve watched hundreds and hundreds of time. I know every word spoken. It is by far a terrific series. I’m so glad you have enjoyed them as well. 🏴☠️⚓️
It occurs to me that one woman, Amber Heard, has destroyed all this and put hundreds of artisans, professionals and experts at their craft, out of work with the cancellation by Disney of Johnny Depp's proposed contract for Prates #6. I hope these professionals can bring a class action suit against her. The damage she has done is incalculable.

I stumbled upon the making of this movie, which I have yet to see. As far as movie making goes, watching this was just the most fascinating and enlightening experience. The level of genius and coordination is just mind blowing. Then you think of the insipid narcissist that was finally put on display in the past months. The saddest, most disturbing contrast to what had to come together to create this movie. She took down and took a huge destructive dump on the micro industry of Pirates of the Caribbean and she's not yet remorseful. True pathological Narc.
This movie will be the best even after ten years the production deserves a whole lot of awards 👏👏

This took me back, my favorite trilogy aside from Lord of The Rings of the early 2000's. Just breathtaking.
I can't count how many times I have watched this movie, and I still love it every time. Roomer Johnny completely disregarded the script and said his own lines.
It’s clear they had a lot of fun making these movies which in turn spilled onto us in the audience. Also the level of detail and practical preparation was amazing. Fun movies like this don’t come about by accident.

I remember going to see the movie as a teenager, having never heard anything about it. My friend just told me that it was a pirates movie with zombies. So everything in this movie was a total surprise. It was scary, funny and epic. I'm so grateful that the plot twist hit me with its full power!

Thank you for sharing this. I'm 57, I had the rare opportunity of growing up in Riverside, about an hour outside of Anaheim. We went to Disneyland all the time including on such rare occasions where they closed the park to everyone but specific parties. You literally ran from ride to ride, or just rode the same rides over and over. We loved Pirates of the Caribbean, practically memorized the ride and the song. Having moved to Oregon, when my son was about 10 years old another rare opportunity arose where they made an offer to go to Disneyland for 5 days with hotel, etc. We went. Every morning we were there at opening, and went straight to Pirates of the Carribean. When the first movie came out, we were right there. What a fun experience for us. Now, in and amidst this pandemic, they are talking about doing another one. The heart races! The idea of visiting that time again,..... like Jack says, what kid doesn't dream of being a pirate.

Fantastic film, I remember seeing it as a kid and it absolutely blowing me away.
Absolutely amazing how much work, design and professionalism goes into making such an awesome movie!
I live on the Gold Coast Australia and while Johnny and crew were filming in various locations here, it was such a buzz to know he/they were right here where I live and work! One location they filmed at was ‘The Spit’ at Main Beach, one of my favourite pieces of paradise to chill and enjoy the GC and they were filming there, it’s was so exciting!
We drove to another film set at the back of our local train station in Helensvale. Filming was halted as trains went through because of the noise, we drove there to see it, security wouldn’t allow us any closer of course. It was literally an open sided container in the middle of a field, crazy really. My neighbour worked on the lighting and sound at the Movie World studios (at our local theme park)
There were updates on local news constantly of some of the actors/actresses being spotted shopping/dining, Johnny spotted at a hairdresser etc. It was so exciting living where an amazing movie was being filmed and that JD and crew were here on our doorstep!
(The house that JD stayed in whilst filming here is one my husband has worked in, for both aircon and security over the years, my hubby knows the owner 😊)

I last saw this film at the Albert Hall with the score performed in real time with full orchestra and choir, and it was sooooo good! I’m disappointed there’s not a mention of creation of the music and filming the score. Is it really so hard to show the musicians some love too; they project the heart and spirit of the thing throughout. All of those years of skill and knowledge ignored by Hollywood yet again!

The biggest loss of DVD features like this is that you can't see the real heroes of a movie, the crew. These movies don't happen without the crew putting in more work than anyone else and you don't get to see that highlighted anymore.
I never checked out the extras before but lost my internet link and cable for a few months and just had a few hundred DVD's/BR. I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed the commentary tracks to the point of watching them before i watch the movie at least half of the time. sometimes I never even watch the movie properly as these days we seem to have reached a point where movie releases are like video games in terms of the majority of both should never have been made

This is beyond amazing! In all of my years I don't recall wanting to learn the behind the scenes of any movie. This is by far the most intriguing and interesting I have ever watched! I watched the pirates movies and enjoyed them...but this is genius! One of my favorite parts of this is when they showed and explained how they did the cgi for the skeleton crew.
I would love to have a few of those pictures in frames to hang on my walls
