I'm rewatching the crochet/knitting videos, waiting patiently for the fantastic house to be finished... And I can't wait to see the next crochet videos IN the fantastic house...
“People who have been making granny squares for 20 years” Me, who learned to crochet at age 5, who’s first project was a granny square, turning 21 in a few months and realizing I’m 🤏🏻 this close to being considered “granny square expert”
Beautiful work you have inspired me to start making granny squares and see where it takes me! Also I literally said in my head before you said it out loud “like a pharmacist” 😂😂💕
I just subscribed to your channel! You’re so much fun and very talented. I’m 75 and taught myself to crochet on u tube during the pandemic. I think you’re the cutest! Keep bringing your fun and very informative videos! I love them!💜💜💜
You make my day! Always makes me smile when I hear you say “I hope everyone is super dandy today!” You’re like an accessory I need to put on before I conquer the day. You’re full of energy and make me feel happy. Thank you! Keep doing what you do and never change!
Doesn't matter how long it takes you. What matters is that it comes out square, consistent tension, real corners on all four corners, and hopefully all of them are the same size! I think somewhere in storage is a little booklet of "shrink vests" that are made with two granny squares, each large enough to cover your chest (not completely). Then plain crochet sections for the sides, shoulder straps, bottom band.
Benson is one lucky lil precious pup! Really enjoy your TH-cam channel. I think my favorite part is that you are so REAL & have an adorable personality. And! Love watching your PROCESS as you figure out what / how to do. Like I said.... your REAL! Enjoying R E A L! Definitely using your channel to make something cute for my granddaughter! 👍 My skill is little behind you but pushing forward to become more skilled with each project I do.
Granny squares are awesome! I continue to go back to them after 50 plus years of crocheting! Relax and enjoy! There’s no hurry, it’s not a race. It’s not unusual to feel iffy until you finish. I’m amazed, even now, what I create! It’s a great feeling.
I *love* how this turned out. The royal blue for the sleeve gusset and tops of sleeves was perfect! Btw I follow the channel that you learned JAYGo from. She is an excellent instructor, and I watched her JAYGo video when I was using it in a project I haven’t finished yet. Time to get back to it!
Honestly I have literally only just found your videos by chance and you are my new fave on here! I’ve been crocheting for 12 years but I was originally watching all your sewing videos (because you’ve inspired me to get my machine fixed and make some clothes) then I realised you crochet aswell!! I’ve binged watched your videos for the last 4 days lol loving your content ❤️❤️❤️so so refreshing
I'm not a very consistent knitter, crocheter or sewer, but I love it all. You are very inspiring. Love the way you just jump right in, and get creative. The sweater is awesome. Makes me want to make one. Thanks for showing us how you do it... the good, and the mistakes. It helps to know we're not alone in our mess ups. Lol
Aside from motivating me to finally start doing granny squares, I love how you introduced me to LOMI. I've been trying to find a perfect composter for my family and you had the answer! Just bought one using your link! Thanks Jenna 🤗
the worsted weight #4 yarn would just be too hot for me so I will try a #3, thanks for sharing your granny journey! loved the way you improvised attaching the sleeves to the body!
Under 20 minutes is actually really good, everyone with ten minutes is lying and/or not switching colors like you are :), switching colors every row takes an eternity for me
Well dang, You got this granny tempted to try making herself that sweater. My stash is perfect for playing with! Thanks for the inspiration Jenna! (Waving from Ontario)🇨🇦
I love this video Jenna! The jumper turned out sooo beautifully. I love your colour combos, they are always so unexpected to me but work so well together. I would love to see the steaming/blocking process in the future!!
currently making a granny square blanket! Making it with sunflower granny squares and I've run out of yarn so many times. Grannys squares eat up yarn like nobody's business
im crocheting right now and i was looking for a video to feel accompanied and i thought "it'd great if jenna posted a new video crocheting" cause yours are my favorites AND HERE I AM LADIES AND GENTLEMEN
I just watched a video of yours, where you said you wanted to do something with granny squares so bad, and I'm so happy you finally did it 😭 And it turned out great, looks really good with the skirt!!
I can crochet a granny in 5 mins, but I’ve been crocheting for about 50 years. In fact, my first project was a black and multiple color granny blanket for my Mom. That blanket lasted almost 50 years! I rarely crochet fast anymore. I usually just crochet for myself so there’s rarely any hurry. Granny squares haven’t gone out style. I love to learn new variations that come along.
I love that sweater! And, I hunk I will be crocheting again. I’m literally a grannie; last time I crocheted was in the 70s. Bags for myself and my sisters-in-law and a long vest.
Jenna please do a granny square shirt in the future! I’ve got this idea into my head that I want one and I can’t find one anywhere so I want to make one 😂😂
Obsessed with this!! But I would love to know more in depth how you created the neck and shoulder to connect the front and back, as well as the sleeve triangle. Great work!
I wonder if changing the way you hold the hook to a pencil grip would speed up your crochet. Then hold the yarn over your left forefinger. Your movements would be much smaller then, resulting in more speed. Beautiful result, Jenna!
You are so entertaining Jenna. I love watching your videos while I crochet, keeps me in the zone haha. I've never really made anything with granny squares either despite how long I've been crocheting. Maybe this is a sign that I need to try it out?
Jenna, You are adorable, amazingly talented, smart, entertaining, beautiful and so inspiring! Thank you for putting yourself out there and the wonderful content you share with all of us. I am a huge fan!!❤️👏👏👏🙏
I really like your mug👍🏻😄 Oh my goodness- after my bag - I’m trying this🥳 I just retired and my projects always took so long before - now maybe I can keep up😅
Duuuude "YUP" Grapes😅😅😅 I literally just Was talking to my daughter about my a d h d!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 I've been watching this Girl that has AD HD. She has black and green hair. And her and her husband do skits. And I've learned so much from them, and I'm gonna be 52.!!! I've learned so much from them. And I feel a lot better about myself.🤣🤣🤣🙃🤩🤩🤩 You're doing an awesome job really proud of you keep it up. Hersheyn is an awesome, awesome life Skill❤😊
Hi I'm Lynn and just now I'm having to use my Hubby's phone mines playing up 😏, might I say how Fantastic your Jumper as turned out to be 😊👍, might I also say , what a fabulous idea to make your own patterns for other people to have a go I'm sure I'll have a go one day 😊, my size would take me forever , looking forward to catching up with your vlogs 🤗, thanks for sharing 😊👍 xx
Very creative design 👌 l Iike the way you shaped the sleeves and the neckline. Please crochet an extra row around the waist edge. This will take the strain off the individual granny square joins & save you a lot of mending later on.
Mrs. Phipps, what happens is when you have been crocheting for 40 plus years, like i have, your hands just take off on their own.I'm 73, I've been crocheting since I was in 4th grade. My guess is about 11-12? If I'm following a pattern (like the sleeves of a cardigan) I'm slower because I'm a stickler for being exact, but it's like the programming is in your hands. I had a very elaborate bedspread square in fine thread. I had made an entire bedspread with it and then lost the pattern. One day, I just picked up thread and hook and started the square... my hands knew the pattern, exactly. I even remembered how to join them correctly. I felt like I wasn't even thinking of the pattern. That is where the speed comes from. If I am making a pattern stitch ( I mean something like popcorns or fans) I love, and have done before, my speed picks up. I am amazed to see how popular the granny square is becoming. My mom used to make bedspreads of them.. I used to wear vests of them at one of my first jobs, a saleswoman at a fancy department store in 1972-74! I've never had the nerve just to play with patterns like you do, I'm a pattern collector and have always been so. I have books and magazines from the very early 70s! Oh, say hi to Benson. He's a cutie. PS. The only thing that slows me down is when the arthritis gets bad.
Just in time, I’ve been doing a granny square best for the last 3 weeks lol, I got so bored it was just standing there in a chair, so when I saw this video i was like “yeah I probably need to finish that” I just need to make the sleeves and bottom part ( the elastic bands around, I didn’t make squares for the back bc making granny squares seems very fun and easy and fast but god those take so long to make I just gave up and the back is just a square of DC lol well thanks to you I’ll probably finish it up for this weekend
Wow! Your crochèt squares jumper is really pretty! I particularly like the neckline, which is done to perfection! (Obviously) 🙂 Ive got lots of granny squares that I was going to make into a throw but now Ive seen what you've done, Im going to try and make a similar jumper. Thankyou so much for sharing the fun and inspirational video. You rock! 😊🥰😊
I know it’s been two years when you made this but I just started making a granny square sweater and when you said some people can make one in 10 min I was it takes me like. 30 I feel the same way
That jumper looks incredible! And now I want to make my own. Damn it. I'm still working on my humongous sunburst granny square blanket xD Well... Now I know what I'll do once that one's finished...
I'm rewatching the crochet/knitting videos, waiting patiently for the fantastic house to be finished... And I can't wait to see the next crochet videos IN the fantastic house...

Doing the same thing 😂

I must say I was not expecting something made from granny squares to look so nice. You did a great job. And I love it with the skirt.
You have inspired me to not give up and I see how taking what I don’t like apart and doing it again will produce something wonderful! Thank you
Love this sweater, makes me want to make one of my own!😍 cotton is the softest for wearables but be warned it does stretch out quite a bit!
Benson is one lucky lil precious pup!
Really enjoy your TH-cam channel. I think my favorite part is that you are so REAL & have an adorable personality.

Can we talk about how her editing is iconic?

I would looove a pattern for this where the neckline etc. would be described in depth. It is so pretty!
very nice! I think you should add small ribbing to the bottom and the sleeves to finish it off nicely
I have never liked the look of granny square sweaters, but that looks so good! I love the neckline and arm shaping! Inspirational!
Lol
You are so cute! I have been crocheting for over 50 years and you give it a good report. I love the fact you can do it on the couch
Hi Jenna! Can you please make a video on how you wash your handmade clothes?
Aside from motivating me to finally start doing granny squares, I love how you introduced me to LOMI. I've been trying to find a perfect composter for my family and you had the answer! Just bought one using your link! Thanks Jenna 🤗
Love it! I just finished a granny cardigan.
You are so refreshing! Love the way you talk and explain. 💝
The colours are actually perfect. Screaming at how cute it is!💕🤩🫶
the worsted weight #4 yarn would just be too hot for me so I will try a #3, thanks for sharing your granny journey! loved the way you improvised attaching the sleeves to the body!
Under 20 minutes is actually really good, everyone with ten minutes is lying and/or not switching colors like you are :), switching colors every row takes an eternity for me
it’s adorable i reminds me of the sweater you made out of the granny square blanket
Jenna, I hope you are doing well. I pray you will not let the heartbreak you have been through stop you from making such great videos. 💜
Well dang, You got this granny tempted to try making herself that sweater. My stash is perfect for playing with! Thanks for the inspiration Jenna! (Waving from Ontario)🇨🇦
Your sweater matches your skirt perfectly in the last clip after you’ve gotten done
I’m using Toni’s JAYG method right now on a granny square blanket. She’s a great teacher!
Jenna, you can crochet and knit the ends in as you go so you’re not stuck with all the ends.
I love this video Jenna! The jumper turned out sooo beautifully. I love your colour combos, they are always so unexpected to me but work so well together. I would love to see the steaming/blocking process in the future!!
absolutely adorable! It's really amazing how you combine so many different coloures and they match just perfektly 💙
currently making a granny square blanket! Making it with sunflower granny squares and I've run out of yarn so many times. Grannys squares eat up yarn like nobody's business

TH-cam just randomly put this on my screen.
Love your sweater.
I hope by now you have discovered the hexagon cardigan.
Obsessed with this!! But I would love to know more in depth how you created the neck and shoulder to connect the front and back, as well as the sleeve triangle. Great work!
Ok. You're amazing. Your granny square sweater is beautiful and you made it without following a pattern. I wish I could do that. Brava! Subscribed.
Very nice and refreshing. Did NOT like the advertisement, we are pestered enough with publicity, but your sweater is a beauty, and so are you.
I wonder if changing the way you hold the hook to a pencil grip would speed up your crochet. Then hold the yarn over your left forefinger. Your movements would be much smaller then, resulting in more speed. Beautiful result, Jenna!
I saw you wearing this on a recent video, and I was hoping you had made a video about it 😃and you did! I love it, thanks Jenna 😊
