My twelve year old daughter is making one of these for my nephew's first birthday. We love it and hope we have the stamina to make grown up sized cardigans. Your positive attitude and humor help me to believe we CAN survive full sized projects!
I thought you meant her children until I got to that part in the video and I was so shocked thinking this girl had two kids since her whole vibe screams living single in my twenties
I love how yours turned out. The one I’m making right now is super fine cotton with a 3mm hook 😅. I’m using five colors because I already had the yarn and wasn’t going to use it for the project I bought it for over three years ago. I need tags for my stuff. Really gave yours that designer touch.
I watched this one second time around and I have to say, that your videos got me started to learn how to crochet in winter 2023. So thank you Jenna, for making crochet fun 🫶🏻
i’ve been so excited to see your take on this pattern, im super new to your channel but have watched nearly every video in a few weeks, and have even started to rewatch some in the background while i knit, so i’m always excited to get new content from you !
I made mine using linen stitch instead of granny stitch, it took more rows, but I prefer the tighter weave of the interlocking linen stitch 😊 you can also make it into a jumper/sweater very easily by joining the front together in the same/a similar way to the back.
It’s like God’s been listening to me because I was literally up searching for this EXACT pattern all day yesterday and then today you post this!! Wow!!❤
So this turned out REALLY REALLY lovely and I'm very impressed with how stylish yet simplistic it is. I have no clue how to make collars like that and would loooove to know what u did to get it that way....pretty please. any advice would be appreciated
I've only made one hexagon cardigan because it took 2 entire caron one-pound skeins and like 2 months of on and off work, but it's my favorite cardigan I own now so it was 100% worth it. 10/10 would do again
i am currently working on a hexagon cardigan too!! i am using rainbow gradient yarn that requires a 3mm hook and it's taking me forever, but everytime a colour change happens it gives me so much serotonin, it's insane ^^ also, it is just the perfect mindless project to do while watching a movie or listening to a podcast, i can't wait to finish it :)
OMGOMGOMG!! I saw a photo of one of these cardigans yesterday and spent 8 hours tryna find a pattern for it and omg, this timing is impeccable. Bless you and your yarn stash; this video is exactly what I needed.
You are so patient! That hook size and yarn is so small and you still finished fast! I love 6.5 with the regular redheart cotton yarn, its soft and flexible with hexagon cardigans.
It's hysterical that you referenced that time Jack peed on your bed in the same video that he also accidentally threw up in someone's car. Poor Jack... when will it end??!
Jenna, I really couldn't picture two Hexagons making this cute little sweater. It's so cute! 10+ for sure. Your always continue to amaze me with your creativity. And now a biker girl! There's no end for you.....still my favorite channel!
Jenna I have to say I love that doll found your channel. I grew from watching your house renovations to your crochet videos. Now I’m am binge, watching your videos and crocheting along. ❤
I did this hexagon pattern. I worked on both hexagons at the same time. I did it a little different but it worked out well. I ensured the arm was the width I needed or wanted it and added infill when stitching the back by about 3 rows on each side. Then added length at the bottom. Next time I will try this way for the fall colors one I will make.
I'm at the stage of adding length at the bottom, but I'm a bit stuck on how to do the granny squares back and fourth.. How do you turn when you get to the end and go back while maintaing straight edges?
You are so good. It’s like you think of a project and just go for it. The sweater is beautiful. I wish I was talented like you do you just go along and make stuff on your own? You are GOOD
I hope you will make a pattern for this top🫠 it is so beautiful and amazing and the collar looks super fancy! I’ve never seen anyone make collar that looks so good like this one!! I have to know how to make it!!!☺️🫶🏻
Yay another crochet video! I've been trying to learn but ngl, I find it very hard, way harder than knitting 😭😭 At least seeing people creating cool crochet stuff will motivate me to keep trying ✨
Just keep trying! I remember when I was a beginner it was so hard but then I did not give up and now I can crochet so much stuff! I know you can get their❤
@@Crocheter_1212 yeah I'll definitely keep trying! I tried to crochet a granny square the other day but it was way out of my league 🙈 but I was able to do a tiny flower!
I really like the top you made. I'm barely learning to make a puffed sleeve cardigan, and it's taking me forever. Now I need to learn to make a hexagon
I have like 6 LB Shawl in a Cake yarn that I got to make a throw blanks for my couch (before I decided to change the color scheme of my living room) that I had no idea what to do with. Gonna be making myself one of these now for sure!
I made a couple of these hexagon cardigans child size while expecting my eldest kiddo (about 9 years ago), and yours came out so nice! Love it how it hangs, really cool and relaxed, kick ass colors!
Oh my goodness I am always so encouraged by you to try something new. I wanted to do this cardigan all summer. I am going to go upstairs get my yarn and I’m just gonna keep watching this over and over again and maybe I’ll be done in 30 hours.!
when i made this using the campfire cardigan pattern i knew for my size i was going to need a big @$$ hook and a TON of yarn lol, it took forever and i hated the sleeves they were so huge, yours looks really light and airy, great job
Thanks for making me laugh and smile. I am still working on making a cover for my lounge chair in my flower room. I made some flowers and decided I will put them on the chaise lounge.
Katie Jones designed a few tops based on this hexagon magic! And the original OG was Elizabeth Zimmerman_ she made a child’s jersey knitted jersey in 1968 using the hexagon.
I love that you show that it’s a process that requires persistence. So many people think that when they start crocheting the FO is just going to happen like magic cause that’s what they see all the time on videos.
Omg I love you so much I was crocheting granny squares and I saw your granny squares blanket on your couch and have me some ideas for may granny square blanket I am so excited to make it
When I first started watching Jenna I thought she was so weird which I loved 😍. And are you ready for this amazing story? I am still watching her today.. 😂😂😂
Not a huge fan of granny squares but i do like this!!!! And i think its because the stitch isnt done with bulky yarn that i like it so well. Now i want to make one! Lol
What's so interesting is that I'm making a similar shirt in brown and pink; had to take a tiny break because I'm out of yarn. Love the shirt and your videos ❤❤.. and honestly I wanna be buried in yarn too because they're so expensive and I always need so much 😅😂
I love these cardis, I'll put hoodies on mine, do ribbing on the bottom and arms so you have really puffy sleeves and I'll even freeform crochet a hexagon and put appliques all over them. I do sell but I just love how you can change them up so much. Yours looks amazing 😍
Just enjoying this vid on a rainy sunday afternoon as I nut out a pattern for a bible cover for my pretty bible ok wow i just thought of one then hahaha, i love the creative energy that comes off Jenna in these videos haha so inspiring. Also i took Jenna choosing to go for a snack before sewing as a sign to open my own. thanks Jenna. you're an inspiration to me on many levels lol😆😆😆
While this was not a good video to watch while eating lunch 🤢, I do have to say that the sweater came out fabulous and I want to try making one! As always, I love your videos and your energy! ❤
Thank you for doing this project 😂 I've been trying to do this pattern for YEARS and I've always thought I screwed up with the messed up granny square in the beginning. Re-inspired to try again now!
Its kinda funny to me that you made like .. whole ass granny square sweaters and stuff but never saw a hexagon cardigan, which are super beginner friendly! Thats in no way shade I just find it super interesting how differently crochet journeys unfold!

You mean Jenna not jack
@@Sunflowerseed-yj1spI’m sure she was talking about the dog, Jack
😁 you got a great personality 🎉 and btw good work!!!
I love that people are making these sweaters. I made one ten years ago (still have it and still have not woven in the ends).
my heart melted a bit at 6:17 seeing her snuggled up on the couch with her sons while crocheting. literally all i want in life.
Literally my favourite bit of the video. Made me was a dog even more than I already did!
Same 😊
I read that and I thought you meant sons as in kids and I got confused 😭😭

Can I ask you how you did the corners with a linen stitch hexagon? I love the stitch and I love hexagon clothes, this would be the perfect mashup
It looks absolutely amazing you should make two matching ones for your dog but with green instead of red yarn it would look so cute!

The school bus buttons made me think of how cute this would be for a teacher! Little apple buttons would be precious for an elementary school teacher.
I wanted a dog. After watching this video, I’ve decided to just keep giving treats to my neighbors cat. 😅
Love it if I could have hundred dogs I would😂❤

Very nice job. I’ve made about 5-6 hexi cardigans and it took me a few to figure out how to stop the sleeve width and continue the body.
Hi ! Actually, can you be nice enough to tell me how to do that ? I did not figure it out.. :/
