Poseidon Rex is what happens when someone decides to try to make an unholy amalgamation of Jurassic Park and Jaws, and has never heard of a plesiosaur. How do you make a dinosaur a sea monster? I find it funny how the first thing the military thought to do was bomb and level an island to kill a “dinosaur” that primarily lives in water.
Rumor has it that in the directors cut the movie ended not with blowing the monsters head off with a rocket launcher but with the monster eating the blonde and choking to death on a silicone implant

In French, this creature is called Predator X, which is a real nickname for the Pliosaurus funkei, but it doesn't remotely looks like a Pliosaurus. It's so sad. Also, Pliosaurs aren't Dinosaurs...

I won’t lie I actually kinda like Poseidon Rex’s design.... don’t get me wrong the CGI is pretty underwhelming but I have to admit I’m a sucker for underwater monsters.

Actually the blue hole is dangerous. Like most blue hole phenomenon It has a strong current and is only recommended for experienced divers.
Deaths there are actually quite common. I know this because when I was in Belize during middle school on vacation my parents wanted to Scuba dive there, but a quick look at the long “hey don’t do this if you aren’t experienced so we won’t be at fault, m’kay” disclaimer made us decide to appreciate it from a distance
It's funny the one that talks the most during the scuba dive doesn't even have a full face mask on, just a regular rebreather so he couldn't talk if he wanted to!!!

Funny enough, that's how I first saw this film. On the Syfy channel.
The part that finally had me rolling on the floor, laughing my head off was when two anti-ship missiles from an F-16 gave the P-Rex minor flesh wounds. But then an infantry carried rocket launcher took it's head clean off. Realism!

Even if you aren’t a faithful type or believe in luck or fate, tragedies on set should still be red flag for a number of other reasons. Like poor work conditions, blatant inexperience with dangerous equipment, etc

The Nostalgic Stino Stamos I love Flash Gordon. I remember watching that as a kid. My mom thought I'd like that movie, she was obviously right.
I love it too. It remains my favorite. I first heard the song when I was 3, then I seen the movie when I was 5 or 6, and last year I got the pleasure to meet Sam J. Jones.

When I saw this movie in full on TH-cam, I made a comment about the underwater radio chatter,, not the same one though. My question was HOW THE FUCK ARE THEY SPEAKING WITH THE SCUBA MOUTHPIECE IN!? It would have made more sense if they had the full scuba mask that allowed for speech.

i watched the movie today and thought "man i've seen this" it is because I saw your review lol i guess this review was a good one since the images stuck in my brain
They treat this hole like it's a big deal...First off, there's a bunch of these things out there, and secondly it's not even the deepest and the deepest one isn't that impressive. The South China Sea's "Dragon Hole" is 987 ft (and a huge missed opportunity for this movie, by the way). The deepest human dive on record is over 1000 ft. So yeah, it's pretty deep, but not THAT deep.
I had no idea there are more of these deep holes in the ocean. I lived in Malaysia, and I had no idea there is one that close to my home country.
It's based off a Peter Benchly novel, who is the man behind the novel JAWS....yes that JAWS.

And lastly if your wandering what it's like it's an almost exact mash up of Jurassic Park 1, Jurassic world, and Deep Blue Sea, believe me is it notacible in certain scenes. If any recalls the open of the first Jurassic Park then watch creature's opening and spot the similarities.
