Each person sets up their bird cage differently for their pet. This is how I set up mine. Keep in mind that after this I continued to change and buy more for my little Iris. I ended up buying some natural branches & some more toys. He loves his cage and is always playing & singing which are signs that your birdie is happy. How do you set up your cage? Comment below

Hey I would really recommend getting a second bird if you already have a bond with your budgie getting a second one won’t change you bond. Budgies are flock animals and really enjoy being with 1 or more of their breed of bird :)

The cage is a bit smaller I would recommend a fight cage even though he's out most of the time he really would love to fly in him cage as well but it's not my budgie I can see u really take good care of him
I recommend moving the cage away from the window due to drafts in the winter. Also had move branches and toys in his cage...

I know it’s been awhile but I would recommend getting more branches with shape since all smooth ones can damage their feet. Other than that great setup! 🥰
I recommend switching the dowels with natural wood, for more variety

Tips for your bird cage is to get natural wood perches dowel perches can cause bumble foot which is an infection also get rid of the huts they can cause your bird to be hormonal and aggressive also get a cage that is wider than taller bird fly horizontally not vertically and replace does plastic toys with natural wood toys a shredding also use seeds as a treat not as a main diet instead you should use Harrison natural pellets and fruits and vegetables
I don’t recommend getting toy bundles from Amazon. They look painted and not dyed which is unsafe and the clips are also unsafe. Planet pleasures,bonka bird toys and DIYs are better
I actually just picked up ton of toys from planet pleasures excited to see how much Davy likes them

Don't be afraid to add more perches more varieties and variants the better in this video the cage only had two perches you can definitely fit three more in there you can have it already but overall a really great start

Birds need with not height they don't fly up they fly across
I would recommend putting natural wood perches because dowel perches make your birds feet hurt and is not giving exercise to the birds feet and your bird should not be on a all seed diet seeds are fat for birds try switching him to a organic pellet and veggies

Do you have any specific cleaning products or “air fresheners” that aren’t toxic to birds that you recommend? I want a bird but don’t want my house to smell insane lol
hey i know im a little late but i actually own 2 budgies i bought them at diffrent time but let me tell you my budgie whole personality changed hes more out going and loud he just does so much better with another bird friend and they both love me

This helps so much I’m getting a parakeet I’m only 12 but I learned so much I’ve been practicing them for about 3 years I had two but they died because the store I got them has sick ones but I’m so excited I’m getting it in around June or July
Yes I only have Petco and PetSmart to buy birds from ! Sometimes they can be sick from the store I have been battling mine being off and on sick :( struggle wish I had a good breeder near!

Are you going to consider changing the perches to natural wood perches with textures? Since the dowel perches that are included with the cage can cause bumble foot.
Like I said in the video this video was filmed over a year and half ago when I first bought my birdie now I have natural perches and more toys 👍
