Flak units doing more damage, then he closer to target. Elite Flak have bigger attack distanse, so that why he deal less damage - step him for same distanse and magic disappeared.
Tbh though, I still like RA1 Tesla Coil. Long range, short charge time, and insane damage. Yes, it uses a lot of power, but that’s what a Tesla Coil should look like, not those miniature form in RA2 or in RA3. RA3’s Tesla Coil takes FOREVER to recharge and attack.
The Engineer being able to defuse Ivan bombs I think was even explained in the Soviet level he was introduced... Although I found out from looking at the Engineer in TibEd and was like "What's this weapon they have?" and quickly drew to the conclusion that yeah, it disarmed Ivan bombs. 1:25 Did not know that one... Count Cobalt Allied AA actually does splash damage. The area is so small that it only works when units are on top of each other. Gatlings are actually single target tho
Another awesome video! You know what else would be great? Some kind of showcase of "civilian" units. Red Alert (and Tiberian Sun) are choke-full of neutral units like bus, ships, cars, forklifts, camera dollies ecc. Even a lot of neutral buildings have wonderful design, like that animated Billboard with talking fruits or Burger Kong \\[T]//
Tiberian sun has the one nod mission where you Jack a GDI bass and attack mutants who use all that. They even had a bus with a tank cannon rigged to it. Would love to see a vid about that.

I'm working on my own mod for YR, and while working on a new weapon that's similar to the tesla trooper, remembered this video. I went to check, and it turns out that the reason why basic legionnaires can fire over walls but elites can't can be traced back to how the elite promotion gives units an entirely new weapon. At some point, the Westwood devs changed the stats for the base weapon to have the capacity to fire over walls (a change to the projectile)--but they forgot to make the same change to the elite version, so it is stuck not being able to. just something neat
Got 2 questions; what stucture can survive if a magnetron dropped an apocalypse tank on that said structure? Tank bunkers are capable of increasing a unit's dps, so what units can survive against another when normally they can't… for example a lasher can't go 1 to 1 with an apocalpyse unless its in a tank bunker. Set it up like this: 2 weaker tanks vs 2 stronger ones, one of the weaker tanks is in a tank bunker. Testing on these 4 units stop when the tank bunker, a stronger tank or a weaker tank gets destroyed.

The thing ive noticed with flak units is that they do splash damage as actual flak would, I think 3 star flak trooper does more damage to groups of aerial units rather than a single unit
Tested, they have much better damage vs ground units when fully leveled, splash damage looks to scale too, but splash damage doesn’t really seem to scale against air units but it does seem to stay the same instead of getting worse. might be beneficial to test against UFOs
About the tesla coil 1 tesla trooper will increase damage 2 trooper will increases damage and range. And you need 2 to keep it running if power is down and 4 to keep it running with maximum power and range when power is down

I think that can happen if tanks is about to enter the bunker. Then suddenly Terror Drone enters the tanks. I tried that on Apocalypse then it works

If I remember correctly, while any more than 1 Tesla trooper doesn’t add damage, they do increase the range still up until the third trooper

I was aware of how good tank bunkers were, but wasn't aware of the attack speed. That's interesting to know!
Some facts: you can only mind control 3 units by psychic tower and you cannot transfer the mind control until one of its control dies.
