How about Schizophrenia ? Something if the meditation asked the patient to look back what happened to them that time. Even though he or she thought that I am ok now. I'm not angry already. Unfortunately, after that meditation , everything comes back. All the sounds illusion 😢 makes things worst.
@@kimberlygoh791 I think in that case it might be wise to consider talking to a healthcare professional about meditation. It can surface alot of negative feelings which can be very overwhelming. I also find it very difficult that it feels like meditation can make things feel worse than before.
00:00 🔄 Quality over quantity is crucial in the letting go process. 02:30 🧘 Proper letting go involves moving towards emotions, not pushing them away. 04:23 💡 Deep introspection, including following the "trail of whys" and shadow questions, enhances the quality of letting go. 13:31 🛑 Avoid rushing the letting go process; take time for introspection and thorough release. 17:26 🚪 Letting go can entail shedding the persona you've constructed over time, which might not truly represent your authentic self. 18:27 ⚡ Letting go is not a linear process and can bring about significant changes, including disruptions in relationships and personality shifts. 19:54 🚭 Identifying and replacing escape mechanisms with letting go practices can facilitate significant changes, such as overcoming addictions. 20:57 🔄 Embracing change and avoiding regression is crucial in the journey of self-improvement, even when it involves discomfort. 22:25 🚪 Letting go is akin to facing inner demons, which may seem daunting but ultimately leads to freedom from triggers and reactive behaviors. 24:33 🎭 Distinguishing between triggered emotions and real emotions is essential for regaining control and living proactively. 26:35 🌬 Letting go often brings relief, even if it doesn't immediately result in happiness, by allowing one to live authentically and eliminate anxiety stemming from hiding parts of oneself.
For me, letting go was never about getting rid of, but rather to understand why; it’s essentially speaking to your inner child, understand why it’s upset, the feelings it has and is trying to tell you. Then, there’s no resistance
I feel like your impatience is a good thing with life-coaching, you push your clients harder and break would be barriers that therapists often fail at.
Spent years letting go. You can fail for so long and have one day where you shed so much crap. All you need is the will to never give up, and the courage to test out cutting people and habits keeping you in check. My mind still fucks with me. The way i see it right now is like this: Let the fear(whatever emotion) come up Stay with it and eventually you will recognize where it is generated from within and you switch from eternal fear to exhaustible pain.

Then you know within you scored a let go !
this shows me that I may need therapy, it's clear you know your stuff Julien. Asking things like shadow questions and pushing deeper helped me see what my true issues are
Therapists can be hot garbage. It’s true some therapists need therapy the most. I’ve seen 6 and not a single one helped. One was so self important he only would converse in relation to himself. One used the same one size fits all method to every problem. One would start texting in the middle of the session etc etc. look past the authority and see how full of shit some of them are. If you one a good one god bless, but it takes a long fucking time
Julien, it's funny, I'm reading Letting Go right now (I had the book by the time I saw you recommend it, saying it's your favourite book, which made me pick it up and start reading it) and I wanted to watch your videos on letting go again and then I found out you posted this one yesterday! This video goes into more depth than the book itself and thank you so much for teaching us about shadow questions. These shadow questions are pure GOLD. In your previous video, I didn't know how to tap into the reservoir, but now I do with these shadow questions. I'm going to do stream-of-consciousness writing using these shadow questions and see where all my insecurities lead me. The book has been very valuable and your talks like this one deepen the material WAY further, so thank you so much for putting these out Julien! This video is a hidden gem and adds so much to your previous talks on letting go. I've been posting videos on TH-cam every day and when I see myself, I can see that there's blockage. I can see that I'm not free. You're giving me the tools to slowly break free, and for that I am grateful.
Its kinda crazy how much we label as "bad" for no real reason and it just makes whatever it is a bigger thing. And we avoid it because we dont want the "bad" thing to be and it will stay like you said.
It's because people value politeness over respect as a way to avoid any responsibility for each other. Anything that might make someone uncomfortable is "bad". In other words, don't trouble people with anything that might burden them. If people truly respected each other, this wouldn't be a problem because there would be mutual trust and the satisfaction of helping one another. Even more crazy is that this shallow politeness is mistaken for respect by most people.
I can't thank you enough Julien. Yes the videos are really comfortable and nice to watch, and it easily becomes a comfort zone even listening to you, but over time the messages are penetrating and it's changing my life for good. Thank you.
Happened to me too. Listened to him for a few weeks and always intended to let go but got sooo scared. Escapism amplified. Then I read the book letting go and something just clicked and I did his teachings. I’m an ENTIRELY. Different person and it’s just been a few weeks You need to do it. Listening is mental masturbation. As he says here “what else are you gonna do but do it?”
I think this is the most important video you have made! cuz there were some points I couldn’t understand when it comes to letting go of the cause and u answered it clearly in this video, thank you so much 🙏
I love you, man! I have been watching a huuge amount of self-help content since I was 14 or 15 y.o. The content of yours is just something for me that opens my eyes as nothing before. Something that resonates extremely with me. God bless you and all your content 😊
This video was incredible. Thank you for the step by step process but more importantly for breaking the letting go process down in such a way that made so much sense to me. So many videos and books on this topic but the way you explained it really landed for me. So thank you! 💖
you are an expert and I know you already know this, but I learn a lot from you, and when I explain your teachings to my parents, they get amazed by what I have learned! Thank you Julien!
This is really crazy: I have been practicing letting go for a couple of days now to release a gigantic trauma I have had for 10 years. The last 2 days I have been noticing that the manifestation of the trauma symptoms (which are partly physical for me) have been exarcerbated (much worse) than before. Before I kinda had them masked and didn't notice them as much, but today I considered quitting "letting go". Exactly the process you're talking about. You've motivated me to keep going. Diving into that fire to die and be reborn!💥
In other videos Julien told us to visualize the resistance going out when you breath out. At 2:58 he tell us to visualize diving in the resistance. How do you think its corect?
It’s actually just like how we won’t understand how to swim without going into the water. So to let go off any kind of resistance you need to first experience it to be aware about the resistance and then work on letting go.
Then ask why are you afraid of being alone... you get deeper fear of not being... why am I afraid of not being loved... survival maybe when you where a kid... then when you start answer that you get deeper, right...
Good video @Julienhimself! I tried letting go for years and I'm even in TM Academy but I didn't make much progress. I just didn't understand the whole process I guess. Because of your latest video's I now understand it much better! I made so many rookie mistakes! For example, I never really saw the "why" of all the exercises and just jumped right into the meditations trying to get rid of things. But this clarifies a lot. I now understand the why of all the exercises, even the cold shower excercise since you also explained that one in more detail lately. Long story short: keep up the good work by making these kind of videos because there are way to many ways "letting go" can be misinterpreted😮
Is he the smartest person alive? He doesn't know me, but he knows how my inner dialogue works. I am very sceptical of coaches, but this video in fact is very valuable.
Thanks so much Julien for this freebie and for so clearly explaining what letting go is. I have struggled with this for years but I get it now. So powerful. ❤

Most of my problems seem to stem from the way I look,I've never felt or been told I'm attractive, most people pointed out that I wasn't or would day something like, you have lovely clear skin,my mind tells me I'm ugly and no one with ever love me and want me but now I know some of them did but I couldn't see it because my mind lies to me and at 55 years old I'm only just realising it and it's driving me nut because I cant go back and change anything
I belive any open minded person will relate with what you say & you are really helping me out one day I felt bordem and I say to my self by remembering your words why do I feel bordem then I got no reason and then the feeling just went and I was happy by that then I thought I was killing it but in this video I saw that I need to dive deep. Again Good bless you Julien I pray for you by the way.
2:20 "the goal is letting go of the resistence to the thing, not the thing".. 2:54 good audit to see if u doing right: "am i moving towards it? or away from it?" (all the copying mechanims, is running away from)
The life unfolding on the screen which you are is not in your control anyway, first be fully clear about this and come to terms with it, then there is no need to let go what you do not hold! No will will be done, but it will be what will be, that is surrender, that is letting go.
From what I understand, letting go seems to mean that you explore and uncover the deepest buried emotions that you either tried to forget or you lied to yourself about in order to avoid processing them
Off topic, I just gotta ask, why do you wear t shirts with such a wide neckline? Is personal preference? Does it suit you more? I really wonder. Great video tho. 👍
Following trail of whys and shadow questions are great when the final why (the real answer) is far from the right answer. What do you do when you hit a dead end following the trail of whys and shadow questions and the final why (the real answer) feels like the right answer. I felt blank because there's nothing to work with. For example, few days back I was introspecting why do I procastinate like crazy? The final why I found was that when I was a kid, I used to have a motto "Don't work hard, work intelligent!". It felt like an epiphany that I found this memory because it seems like it might be the cause of my procastination. But at the same time, as a kid I effortlessly gained very good skills and so the motto. What would be the next step in my introspection?
life is more difficult than people say.... when i was trapped in the spsychiatry for some time... it was difficult... you learn some. but when u get out... u forget what u did... anyways... getting stronger and learning rutines is important... this kind of learning how to be.. is cool... this thing julian does is really difficult...it is a lot of that in the spychiatry as well... kind of see some similarities....
At leat focusing on quality will improve my relationship with the present moment. I was always thinking about how I was gonna change in 7 months or 3 months of letting go, while I'm letting go. Knowing that quantity doesn't matter will prevent me from thinking about the future too much. I'll settle about thinking 2 days from now or what I'm gonna do tomorrow.
Hi Julian. I just want to ask you. You were talking about attachment to the positive and resistance of the negative things. I noticed I've got it the other way. I'm somehow attached to the negative things and I built some barrier to not let the positive things affect me. Therefore resistance of the positive. I'm just kind of scared of opening myself to the positive things. I don't know how to work on it. Trying to just accept it somehow? Accept myself, form a good relationship with myself? I also have anxiety, I'm very perfectionistic and I'm afraid of closeness. Low self esteem. A big topic for me is to trust or not. How to work on myself? Thank you for your answer. Caroline.
My friend is afraid of "wishing" for things because he says she will just be disappointed by the outcome, because every time she did, they didnt turn out they way she wanted. Do you have any suggestions for her ?Thank you for the great video! cleared some things up for me = )
I'm stuck at the first level of a shadow question, i.e. I procrastinate, so i ask 'Why do like failure?' I dont know how to answer this or reframe this I to somethihg i can use to go deeper? How do you get past that stage?
Reframe your questions. Ask lots of questions. "I don't know" is a resistance. Try paying attention to how you feel about the question. Don't accept I don't know or Nothing as a answer. Also maybe that's not the question you need to answer. Think what you think about yourself. What feelings procrastinating brings up. My main issue is feeling I'm not competent, I don't trust myself, and I don't really believe when people praise me. I don't believe their judgement but I also don't really believe mine. Example: many creative works I've done was judged good by people when I thought it was bad or not so good. And works I was proud of was seeing as normal or not that great. So I have this issue of not knowing how to get valid feedback, and I believe I have a problem with reality check or Idk I'm making a list of many questions and beliefs I hold. And I'm gonna work through that
I enjoy your seminars you're very interesting man very wise I would like to hear how do you change your addictions how do you change your mind from doing the same thing every day
great stuff julien the three wants control approval and safety innit lester levenson was a legend! as are u he fully realised in three months did levenson from release technique
When following the "path of why's" I find it incredibly difficult to distinguish between answers that actually come from the shadow/subconscious and answers that were learned or seem logical from a rational perspective. I have discussed every single subject in depth over the last years and have come up with a 100 theories for every question already so it's incredibly difficult to spot wether I'm just pulling up one of those pre-fabricated answers or wether something truly comes from within when asking myself the why questions...
I've always felt alone and hated it because it left me with my thoughts and flashbacks and anxiety, now I geel them all even when I'm with someone, all my past hurts and mistakes are coming back to bite me,I blocked them out for decades and now they are back and I feel like I'm losing my mind.
Hey , I have a doubt , you told that on letting go , things around you start changing because you come out of that conditioning and the real you comes out .What if that real you could ruin your goals and objectives , like being a good students with good grades which matters a lot. Can you help me out here?
The real you is yourself, your true self. I don't think it's about being you or yourself on this matter but more like maturity one. The older you get the more you start "ticking" with things. Yourself, you real you can possibly be immature cause you as a human may be immature right now... If you think your true self will ruin things you gotta do(good grades and etc) then you gotta learn how to be mature, how my "true self" would behave if I were 10 years older than I am now?! The more you learn from this futuristic yet mature version of yourself the more you will fit the "true you" into reality. Letting it go doesn't mean avoid any kind of responsibility but understanding the matter behind it, how and why you will act.
Bro huge fan of yours. Would love to know what's your aspiration now in Life? Since you've achieved so much and have done almost everything one can imagine. On Maslow's hierarchy, I belived you've done everything. Would love to know, what are your goals now with life? (Apart from transforming people's lives, which you'll be doing inevitably I know)
This here was just so needed right meow. I grabbed the Black Friday Special and started out on Transformation Mastery two weeks ago. The first releases I went through really were great and using the insights here I can double down on my inner work, so thank you very much.
How do you know your doing shadow questions correctly ? What i mean is how do I know Im not just saying what I want to hear... I have this weird need to control and understand everything so how do I know Im not doing that to myself and is it even possible or is this just another fear to work on ?
what do you have to say about something you cant really control like for example im bad at making friends and i have asked a couple times if someone wants to do something but it never really works because when i ask no one wants to do something how do you deal with that?
I would suggest doing the thing regardless. "I'm going to the park, if you're free join" also you can ask them about their schedule and see if they're available. Now if they don't have any interest then you should move on.
I think I'm ugly because one of my earliest memories were from after my younger brother was born and for years people would comment on how beautiful he was and my mum would agree but no one even looked at me,my mum would never say,so is my daughter and as a teen I asked her if I was pretty and she laughed and said well there's nothing wrong with you, you're not deformed
It’s okay sister. It shouldn’t matter what you look like on the outside. What’s important is how you are on the inside. Accept your emotions and thoughts about being ugly, it’s okay. Feel them. Let these thoughts be there. Don’t fight it. You are so great and you are loved always. Remember that. Jesus loves you.
Ive found that when I do this work too deeply i spiral into depression and end up being unable to do anything for weeks or even months after which makes me just not even want to try

resonates, much appreciated julien.
Let go letting go....
THERE YOU GO!
If I try to let go of something that triggers me like singing, resistance always comes back the next day
It can take time but you also have to go deeper on it... As I explain this in this video! 👌
This video is loaded with stuff, I'm gonna watch it multiple times to fully absorb it
I think I just kind of got the the answer I was looking for so I'd like to say thank you
Amazing speech you did a really good job with this one
Can you do more about meditations, what would be recommended?
“He would run to the bathroom several times a day to do a release.” 😳
😂😂
Very inspiring 👏 👏 (irony)
Thank you Always 💚🦋
You're welcome! 🙏
The life unfolding on the screen which you are is not in your control anyway, first be fully clear about this and come to terms with it, then there is no need to let go what you do not hold!
No will will be done, but it will be what will be, that is surrender, that is letting go.
Grazie mille❤❤❤
From what I understand, letting go seems to mean that you explore and uncover the deepest buried emotions that you either tried to forget or you lied to yourself about in order to avoid processing them
yes that's the description of shadow work
Good bless you men!
Off topic, I just gotta ask, why do you wear t shirts with such a wide neckline? Is personal preference? Does it suit you more? I really wonder.
Great video tho. 👍
Well explained 💯
Excellent content!
What would be a good one for a breakup
life is more difficult than people say.... when i was trapped in the spsychiatry for some time... it was difficult... you learn some. but when u get out... u forget what u did... anyways... getting stronger and learning rutines is important... this kind of learning how to be.. is cool... this thing julian does is really difficult...it is a lot of that in the spychiatry as well... kind of see some similarities....
So I have this issue of not knowing how to get valid feedback, and I believe I have a problem with reality check or Idk
I'm making a list of many questions and beliefs I hold. And I'm gonna work through that
Omgggggg….the realization of my life is in front of my face this is soooo painful ……
SO much game in this one.. Thank you, Julien 🙏
You’re so welcome!
What about trying to let go of physical pain and physical body issues and chronic pain ?
doctor
One question what are the differences between fake fronts and adopting new behaviors that cause unfamiliarity?
Thanks Julien
I enjoy your seminars you're very interesting man very wise I would like to hear how do you change your addictions how do you change your mind from doing the same thing every day

Listen… all this means is that you haven’t accepted yourself and your mistakes. One day youll realize they were insignificant.
I randomly found you on here scrolled throw a couple reels narely broke I'm like "who is this guy" 🙏🏽 if logic was a person
I'm interested in your (or viewers') opinion on Daniel Mackler. Your 2's philosophy and introspection are very similar as far as I can tell.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
Thanks a lot
Golden.
Letting go means not escape loss etc
Its means give permission to happen what happen now
Let go further
Jesus loves you.
what about when you're tired of letting go and tired of watching everything slip away because you dont care anymore
Look for relief after a release because Eckhart Tolle's Power of Now has a chapter named "Beyond Happiness and Unhappiness, there is peace". ;-)
