On our first trip to Borneo Malaysia we head to an island here in Borneo that no tourists visit. While other islands near Semporna attract masses of tourists, this peaceful and isolated island near Kudat above the tip of Borneo has hardly any visitors. We were the only guests here on this hidden tropical island for our whole stay, which we spent on our very own private beach watching some of the most epic sunsets we've seen in Asia and eating some of the cheapest and best seafood you can find in Malaysia! This is our life on a remote Borneo island...we found paradise here on Banggi island and it has to be one of the best places to visit when you travel to Sabah in Borneo Malaysia.
    Tammoyo Place: goo.gl/maps/rgGRPWpdgSxXKjKR6
How to get to Banggi Island:
KK - Kudat by shared car: 50 RM per person, leaves when full, go to the parking lot near Merdeka square early before 9am for the fastest departure.
    Location: goo.gl/maps/4sHfNRQPMXxwnuL56
Kudat - Banggi Ferry: 23 RM for economy class ticket (make sure you ask specifically for this at the counter, or they might charge you for first class which is basically the same)
    Leaves at 9am & 2:30pm, takes 90 mins.

The metrology department of Malaysia have issue a heat wave warning so do becarefull. I think allot of locals would probably stay indoor or at a waterfall in the jungle cause its cooler there.

I have been to Banggi and stayed there for a while. My take, it is important to always be careful around saltwater crocodiles, as they are usually more aggressive than freshwater crocodiles. Both of these crocodile species are commonly found on Banggi Island.

Also, sorry for the inconvenience when you bought the ticket. As a Sabahan myself, I can tell you, the local (particularly those living along the Sabah's coast) will take advantage of tourist. If you have a choice to reject any suspicious transactions, then do it.

Nice beach, esp the tip of the cove, conn to triangular island.
But the white sand began to rot.. guess dirty water swept from some major cities to here.Maybe this why nobody feels likely to come.. not so clean water .?!?
