That is very true. I have a learning disability, and I had the hardest time trying to find a job and my husband finally found me a job.

Publix also hires special needs people. I work at a store in Alabama, and we have many with mental disabilities and physical disabilities. We support our whole community!

In my town we have this association that help with people with all different needs like that .. we have multiple programs that help people getting work in the community ..the association employs people to find the companies that will apply people like us ...
I'm a client with this association and it's in western Canada and I work at the office that we are in !!

I feel like people who have physical disabilities can struggle to find jobs as well, depending on the disability. After I graduated college I could not find jobs at all for over a year. I worked at an office as a cleaning lady for quite a while. I was born hard of hearing which did limit me a little bit but mostly jobs that were customer service type jobs. My degree was in web/graphic design and what I ended up doing was an unpaid internship for the experience. But yeah I wish there is more assistance or at least jobs that don’t discriminate.

Yes they do.We watched a momma and dad Robin raise their babies in their backyard. Every time mom flew out to get food dad would fly in and sit on the babies.

also, did you know that 80% of the blind and visually impaired community or unemployed? People do not hire them either only 20% of us are working. I know friends who have high degrees and companies will not hire them.

You can allow changes for these features and settings: Reduce Loud Sounds: Prevent changes to volume settings for safe listening
This is different than the guided access locking of the volume keys. It sets a maximum volume, not sure if that would be at all useful. :-)

My autistic 22yr old son is a preschool teacher here in the UK. His level of autism is lower so he’s verbal, can drive etc but he works so well with the autistic children they have because he gets them and they don’t judge him either

Yes, IDD kids get a certificate of completion. Diplomas are for students who receive degrees. This is how it is in most states to my knowledge. You are correct Asa that the unemployment rate for people with disabilities is incredibly high as I can attest. I have your basic LD/ADD with a touch of neurodivergence and I am unemployed. The blind and others who don’t have IDD and have high degrees of education have an insanely hard time finding work. It’s not okay.

There is an app you can buy that locks volume without locking the activity on the ipad. I am unsure of the name of it though

Do you really mean graduate? My kids couldn’t get a diploma they had to get certificates of completion. Our state has tests that have to be passed in order to graduate.
My school gave developmental delayed students a diploma
I feel they should of worked with me harder on the stuff I needed to work on that helped me towards the test for the diploma but they didn’t they basically just passed me along instead of taking the time to teach me in a way I was gonna get it
Correct. Kids with IDD receive certificates of completion while students receiving degrees get diplomas.

@@michellevincent8338if you are in an accident, especially if you get rear ended- hitting your head on the clip could give you a concussion or worse could break the skin and get embedded… unfortunately it has happened a lot! (I actually know a young lady who was rear ended today and got a literal concussion from the clip being between her head and the seat!!)
It’s been said that should you get into an accident while wearing them, you’re at risk for severe head injury/trauma.

The iPhone now has assistive access and you can pick an app that you want her to have availability to and you can actually turn off the volume buttonso you set the volume at the level that you want and then they can’t adjust it. like Guided Access it’s password controlled
