Urban kayak bass fishing Jacksonville FL

- Bubba decided to show me and Alex from 904 fishing one of his favorite places to kayak fish in Jacksonville for bass which was right in the middle of town. Of course a cold front hit that night with temps in the 30`s bur we had our coffee and made the best of it and had a good time!

I used to fish there some when I was young. Back then, it was full of little bream and shiners, and an occasional catfish. .We hadnt learned to bass fish at that time , so we never caught any.
Well they are in there for sure now eating big gizzard shad

That's right in my back yard...well, at least my Florida back yard. Those gar are pretty prolific there. I don't know if you know about Guana Lake in Ponte Vedra (just south of Jax), but it's a dammed saltwater lake off the intracoastal waterway, and the last time I fished there (for red drum and speckled trout) I saw like four huge gar. I was thinking they were reds until I saw the snout. Nice variety -- those shad would've made great cut bait. Great video! Thanks for taking us along.

grew up using spinning reels and im right handed so natural im going to want to us my right hand for things, and im going to have both hands on the rod any way so its nothing to switch over. Good attempt to troll though, I would say its a good unn!

no peacock bass up here gets to cold for them! i wish we did they are on my bucket list for sure!
