How to build a private room with a temporary wall. This DIY room can be an office, bedroom, etc.

    We were expecting our 3rd child and needed an extra room in our house. Our original plan was to hire a contractor to split our large dining room into two, but later due to COVID, we decided to DIY it for social distancing reasons. The build I designed did not require a single nail or screw to be driven into existing walls. This has been the most ambitious woodworking project I have undertaken yet. It's been a lot of effort, but totally worthwhile. The new bedroom provided a private space for our in-laws during their extended stay with us after the baby was born. Our guests and us have thoroughly enjoyed the extra space. Hope it inspires some ideas for you, e.g., to create a private office space to work from home during COVID times.

    Can you provide the cut list and dimensions etc. for beginners? I'm trying to make temporary room in an apartment and need somethinh freestanding.
