Damn! That looks amazing! My wife is on Zoom all the time with the same cheap fabric background for the last year. Cant wait to make a wall for her. Brilliant. Thankyou!
Love this project. I like how you keep it simple with just a few tools, and the flexibility of it as you walk us through all of the options. The pallets are gorgeous, and I wasn't sure about the green but it looks so sharp. I love how you can change it up to give totally different looks in one item- great ideas!
This was such a creative build! You did an amazing job at utilizing a few simple and easy to obtain tools and turned them into something versatile that so many people could use and build themselves. Keep doing what you do because you truly are using your platform to educate others and are doing it very well if I may say so myself. Thank you!

Realistically I am looking to build a wall to attach some ikea furniture so I just need the plywood and tools. But as a art historian I love the craftsmanship in this project and your attention to detail! Also if you ever decide to change the green color, you can always use a light pink or red to tone the green down on that panel. The beauty of being an art historian is I had to learn color theory. So you do not have to repaint the whole wall you can just switch the led colors around on that green panel to red or pink to tone the brightness of the green down and soften it so it is less harsh on the eyes and it will blend the two colors but the led light will make the wall still pop out.
Love that neon/lime green color. It pairs very well with light to medium grey (think battleship grey) and dark blues. For anyone building this at home you can cut about an inch off the width of the 2x4s to lighten them up. Instead of plywood cheap wall paneling is even thinner and very light but not as strong so the wood glue is a good idea. Don't skip it. Also if you wire in electrical box and outlet to an extension cord running outside the wall before you close off the wall would give you a point to add additional lights later or to be able to use the wall to power your devices. This is a great project idea he had
Might I suggest wiring the wall for power, with a cord to plug it into house power? Either actual wiring or an outlet strip near the bottom. That would make life easier trying to plug stuff in, especially if the wall ends up covering the normal outlets or blocking the rest of the room.
Thanks so much for this tutorial! I’ve been trying to figure the best way to make a portable wall for the longest!!! Your design is far better than anything I was planning!! Thanks again!! You’re the best!!
I swear whenever I have an idea to build something and not sure how to go about it, I always come here. You are like the google search. I just have to think about it and you either already built it or have something similar for inspiration. Thanks for always putting out amazing content
If Home Depot supplied the wood they must have given you a week’s notice so they could find some straight ones perhaps they popped down to lowes to see if they might have better luck
I don’t buy fasteners at home depot anywhere unless it is an emergency . I and my family in the Philadelphia and harisburgh area have had rotten luck with the quality of their fasteners. Mounting a large power transformer into concrete the lag bolts sheared had to unbolt the installed bolts and hammer drill new anchors. Same thing happened to my nephew going into wood. I use my local True Value store or another hardware store for fasteners.

I've wanted a fake wall for some time, initially the idea was less ambitious because it was going to be used just to hang my tv/monitor at a comfortable level, and hid all the cables but then I realized I needed something to hang a wall clock, a calendar, etc so now it's probably going to be quite bigger Thanks for all the ideas I got from your work, it looks great, quite original, and it's also so versatil
Nice Job!!! Since I am a at home school teacher due to covid, I am going to do this not just for me but my two kids too - so they can have their own background!
Your wife isa very lucky lady, you are what i call a real man!! A man that builds survives anywhere!!! You are valuable!!! Best regards young man!🙏❤️☮️
Damn, this looks clean. I made a “wall” with pvc and a bedsheet for my daughters school zoom classes, but it was way too small. We still use it, but this video is helpful. I’ll refer to it if this home school stuff goes on much longer
This frame could go green screen with a dyed bed sheet on one side, with led back lights around the frame. Super cool because you can roll it away when you finish.
This is great. I have several uses I can think of. I am a woodworker and I refurbish furniture. I have a very large family room. One side is family space and the other side is exercise equipment. Also this is currently surrounded by finished projects, unfinished projects and furniture waiting to be refinished. It would be great to block the view. And a backdrop for photos. I'd also love one in my shop just as a barrier. My shop is attached to my house and you have to go through it to get to the room that has our second fridge and freezer. Drinks and snacks are there so there is always someone going in and out. And finally... A divider wall for my booth at the local antique mall. Thanks for sharing.
Just wanted to say thank you. This inspired me to build one as well. I did mine a little differently though. I realized that the bottom of the wall would never ever be seen. On each side, I put in a single gang electrical box to put in power outlets. I also put in a single gang electrical box at the top. On one of the sides of the wall, I used a shore power connector. Now like a RV, I just need to park it somewhere that has an extension cord and I have power. If I need lighting shooting up or down, I have electrical power to do it and it will not be in the shot. I also mounted hooks at the top for hanging a green screen down. I also mounted hooks on the side if I want to use banners. Thanks again for the inspiration!
Dude, I'm literally building one of these this weekend for a PC Hardware review studio I'm building in our spare room. I didn't think about the brackets, I was going to notch some doubled up 2x4's, but this would be way easier. Great video!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! My husband and I were just discussing the problems of having a second office in our guest room. Issue, you cannot have a bed in your background and not sitting at an angle where family can accidentally walk into a video view.
Wow fantastic idea! Love that it gives you a simplistic way of getting multiple unique views with and easy change out! A gradient look on the panels along with the solid color side would be very nice too!
This is a dope wall project I'm actually going to do this but as a headboard option so I can change out the room look from time to time. I think wifey would love it.

My question is I would love to add some floating shelves onto the side where you attached the mismatch planks. I would plan to stage jars of ingredients, herbs, etc. nothing too heavy, but things to make it look like a real kitchen. thank you for the video, it was great and awesome inspiration.
