Wow! He definitely an awesome trumpet player. I've listened to all these songs over and over throughout the years and I know the Clifford Brown sound. He's got it down. Beautiful music. Clifford Brown with Strings is definitely one of favorite CD's!!

The "Clifford Brown with Strings" album is such a wonderful project in that it presents a wonderful contrast to the highly technical and skilled bebop playing Clifford so often did, and replaces that amazing complexity with beautiful heartfelt simplicity. Ruud does an outstanding job emulating the master while still being true to himself.

This is wonderful brings a fuller life to these songs of my youth. This trumpet wizard and the whole group is beyond definition. I first heard them interpret Joe Z’s Peace. I listen to that at least once a week they did it beautifully.

Ik ben al jaren een groot fan van Ruud Breuls maar ik vrees dat hij bij het grote publiek minder bekend is dan bijvoorbeeld een"Akkie"van Rooyen en dat is in mijn ogen onterecht. Daarom is het goed dat dit soort filmpjes op Facebook komen. BedanktFrank!
