I am a big fan of Rudd's. He is one of the best trumpet players around (not only in Europe), and it is always great to hear him with the WDR. As a matter of fact, all players in this video are excellent. Thanks for uploading.
Amazing rendition. I especially like the intro, blowing onto the grand piano’s soundboard with the dampers raised. Beautiful effect. Very L’Ascenseur pour l’échafaud intro as well.
I accidentally discovered this technique when playing the marimba next to a piano with the lid open. It was a fantastic experience. I love Ruud’s sound, seen him with the Metropole Orkest a few times at North Sea Jazz

Ruud is surprisingly near to the approach of Miles. I thought that were impossible to do :) Very centered, tough soloist, impressive. Btw - Beautiful ascenseur sur l'echafaud Intro!

Pro trick : you can watch series at flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching all kinds of movies these days.
