Hi Alex, The TCH uses a hydraulic dampening system for the tilt, and it features torsion (not spring) axles. See full specs at: legendmfginc.com/tilt-car-hauler/

How would you add a winch to this trailer?

Good morning -- A winch (plate) is a factory-installed option that can be included with a new order. If you purchased a stock tilt car hauler, the after-market assembly is possible but requires substantial manpower. It would need to be welded to the tilting deck, or HD bolted. Our winch plate option is welded in.
