You guys need to make a small one for towing motorcycles. Same concept. Rental companies will love you. It will make it super easy for anyone to ride on with a large/heavy bike straight into a front wheel lock.
Problem will be the price per return for that market. Why would someone pay the extra money when a ramp gate trailer from the local store is going to do the same thing
Driving up a step ramp to trailer a race car with a 1st gear that can 60 mph is always terrifying. This looks like a racer's dream. Also, always scrape aero getting on/off a regular trailer.
I've used a JGL hydraulic drop trailer for years. Also have a tilt trailer for a crawler lift. They both have their pros and cons. The traction coating on this is a great idea. And the car hauling overcenter feature for door clearance is very useful. Interesting concept.
I made an aluminum version of this with air ride almost 20 years ago. It's still hauling PCA cars to the track til this day. The one I built also has a spare wheel/tire rack up front above the tongue.
I see the upside of using this for a lowered car, only downside would be having to be in it until the trailer is all the way up before you can open the door. Making it a much longer, 2 person operation- unless you can get a wireless remote option.
Very interesting trailer. I can see a lot of happy folk when they receive theirs. I'm curious how something like this would handle the "rust-belt" during winter.
OH! I feel stupid now. I’m glad I actually took the time to watch this. I just kept thinking “what in the world is the point of a trailer that has basically zero ground clearance?! Can’t even hit a speed bump in a parking lot!” 😂😂😂
@@mrmark8603 there was no sarcasm in my comment at all. Anyone that sees that trailer on the ground and doesn’t immediately realize it’s a drop deck trailer is a real moron
Looking at the thumbnail, I was wondering why the hell would someone want to buy a RC trailer. Clicked on video and I was mind blown. Very nice concept on car hauler. All the sports car guys with super lowered vehicles are gonna love this
I wish the back of the ramp was hinged even for a small section so that if your load isn't overhanging you can have the back of the trailer presenting a flat surface instead of that sharp wedge. It would be stupid for anyone to drive too close behind a trailer anyway but this presents a relatively pointed metal wedge that could do serious damage in a collision from the rear or case of user error where the trailer backs into something. May have other functional uses as well
im assuming 8022 is 80" internal fenderwell clearance, 22 foot long. are you able to make trailers with ore interior clearance (ie 86 inches). I have a couple custom vehicles that are in the 84" range and would love a drop deck of some sort that I could get them on, instead of swapping tires or using a deckover (super hard to get my low vehicles onto a deckover)
What does it weigh? How much weight can it haul? If the jack was Hydraulic, or atleast automatic the knuckeled tongue would be pointless. Is there suspension? How harsh or smooth is it compared to a conventional counterpart?
Something tells me that you could get most things on a trailer with a long enough ramp. Also, this could become extremely unstable if one of the wheels doesn’t rise and lower fully. It’s a cool design, although not sure if it’s better than a trailer with fewer parts where less can go wrong, and a longer, wide ramp. Id like to suggest some sort of alarm and light system for your trailer that lets the driver know if all of the wheels haven’t locked in place fully for whatever reason.
The tongue swivel is a weak point. It doesn't look stout or ready for a beating. It is gadget. How did they move the low slung lifts before this trailer?
As I know I’m a little late to the party here but what would be great is seeing someone getting in and out of a vehicle. That being said as some of us are not in the 20-40 year range and might be thinking of getting a trailer like this to tow behind a camper/motorcoach instead of flat towing a vehicle.
At some point we would like to show this trailer in action. We would like to show it hauling cars and hooked to a truck. Keep an eye out for that video.
It's a result of Biden-inflation. Biden has found a way to put a $5 tax on every "t" used in a video. So this guy is eliminating the "t"s to save money.
Ahh yes so many more things to break. Also id love to haul 14k lbs around with that and see how long before it cracks in half or one of the bags or hydraulics blow out and leave me stranded. I have a trailer payed 2k for it and it sits a foot off the ground rated for 10k.
I don't believe FlatTrak offers those. But if you can arrange shipping we have shipped around the world before. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to our salesmen. 717-262-6383
My only thought is why did they cheap out with the Jack if your going to have all those cylinders and hoses it’s not prohibitively expensive to throw a hydraulic Jack on too its 2 short whips the Jack and a valve
Ok. I have an old 76 Monaco rv. I'd like to tow my 18 outback....Can't flat tow it. I'd also like to use it with the outback to haul water into wherever in the boondocks I'm camping at. Figure I'm looking at an aluminum trailer and needs to get pretty flat to load the outback onto it. Got anything we can talk about...even if I can't really afford it right now????
Right now we only have steel trailers that lay flat. They are coming out with a cheaper lighter duty car hauler soon. If you have any questions, one of our salesmen can help you out. You can call them at 717-262-6383
Someone will take this concept and make it just as well but at a cheaper cost to undercut them. Mark my words competition is good for the consumers. I see a sport bike (motorcycle) trailer (7 feet) being a top seller if someone starts developing it.
Amazing, never wanted a trailer so badly that I don't need.

Yeah baggers and big touring bikes are sketchy getting them up on trailers especially if it’s just 2 ramps and not a flat ramp to go up.

They're copying Futura Trailers from New Zealand.
Hell yeah! Keeping my eye out for good ideas to use when I make one for my lowrider!
I love the plan needs a cable winch so that a broken race car can be hauled back on after a bad night at the track.
You and a buddy can't push a car onto a flat trailer?
Winches are really easy to add.
As a person that loads broken cars regularly a I agree a winch is everything.

25-28 Grand, wow! I am glad I don't need one of these! Pretty neat idea though!
A must for hauling the Corvette. It looks almost as easy as paying someone else to haul it.
Nice I wish I had one of these when I was drag racing years ago
Neat design. Price is a hard one to swallow. That’s what I paid for a brand new 28” enclosed ATC Quest 305 and a pair of race ramps
Very nice. Wish the fenders were drive over for wider trucks. Neat design, lots of good features on it.
wider trucks.... you don't need a drop trailer, you just need a trailer.
Oh that's a wonderful idea, I won't be able to put anything on it until it's paid off ,prolly 9 or 10 years , but can't wait, I'm so excited 😢

Do you have a video of this trailer, hooked up to a truck and car load and unloading
how do you maintain hitch connection to truck with the knuckle raised?.... must one disconnect the trailer each time to load/ unload?

Can the trailer be lowered while hooked to tow vehicle?
If you want to inspect your differential, sure, knock yourself out ;-)
Ok add a remote control cable winch so I can drag my broken race car back on after a bad night at the track. What are they going for though?
Yes it can be. You can view this working on the video of the 18’ model. The link is in the description of this video.
Does it have a suspension while hauling like springs or torsion?
Yes it does! It has torsion bar suspension.
Perfect
So does it have to be unhitched from the truck to lower it?
Could you get an enclosed one?
Do you guys have a smaller version?
Does the trailer raise to dock height?? If so would be perfect for hauling many types of forklifts..!
That looks awesome!
Where EXACTLY is the buh-en? Do you hook up the ‘railer to ruck? How often do you put air in the ‘ires?

Wondering how squirrely the trailer will get or sloppy the movable axles will get over time
How will it work if it is hook up

Unfortunately the GVWR is way too low for me. looks cool and it's great idea.
Almost perfect for a race car hauler just missing a couple items like tire racking, and a tool box.
