I watched this vid as a kid but didn’t have Super Mario Galaxy 2, only SMG1. I remember trying to do some of the glitches in the SMG1 levels, and was so sad that they didn’t work
That infinite flutter in the credits glitch is hilarious. I love how the camera jerks back to your location when you die, like the cameraman is doing a double take.

5:12 This isn't a glitch. In a lot of games, characters are made to turn invisible when the camera gets too close to avoid the camera clipping inside of the character and giving the player a nightmare inducing face full of disembodied eyes and teeth.

The infinite flutter must be the worst glitch for Yoshi, I mean, he literally moves his legs rapidly to flutter, infinite fluttering makes him do it twice as much, I mean, Yoshi must be super exhausted after all that fluttering!

6:37 Ok that's creepy as fuck. I know it's super Mario galaxy, which has some odd enemies, but those are humanoid and the fact they're in the shadows makes it that much worse. The fact he said "is that you guys doing that" doesn't help either.

This game gets the achievement for being the only game (that I can think of) where you can glitch out and die during the credits!
Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis does a similar thing - because it uses Sonic 1's graphical style and layout, but Sonic Advance's physics, this leads to a lot of oopsies when attempting to play it, and thus the credits montage now includes a moment where Sonic dies to an enemy.
Or was that in the intro demo?

I can explain the shadow clone glitch. 3D Mario platforms love to use loading zones to program the game into either bringing Mario to a new area or trigger an event. They only require Mario's model to enter the loading zone, and since they are placed in spots that are crossed through natural progression, the event triggered by the loading zone just feels natural. However, because of the mere requirement of touching the loading zone, there are instances where the game can be strangely exploited. For example, in Super Mario Sunshine, the game wants you to jump off a cliff into a waterfall to enter the undersea cavern in Noki Bay episodes 4 and 8, but because it's such a massive leap without any way to tell where the entrance is under the water, they made the loading zone significantly larger than the opening itself. And because you only need to touch the loading zone to enter the cavern, you can just swim there normally and enter the cave just by being next to it. A similar case is with the Shadow Lining. It's likely that a tiny loading zone exists in the center of these shards so that once you pass over it, the Shadow Clones spawn in, since you're expected to continue moving through it to maintain momentum to the next one. But for some reason, the loading zone is smaller than the shard itself, meaning you can just barely collide with the shards hit detection without passing over the loading zone.

Oh my god, seeing Cosmic Cove reminded me of how much I played that level when I was younger. I would swim around for hours, and then ice skate for hours too. God, I really need to pull out my Wii again and play this.

There's an easier way to do the long jump on water. Just hold Z before entering the water and keep holding it the entire time you are in the water. Then when you get up to the surface, rather than just jumping out you do a long jump

I was playing a Paper Mario RP game on ROBLOX and saw those guys in an earlier update. I was so freaked out I shut down ROBLOX and instantly after that my laptop. I didn't play that game for a MONTH, and there was an update before I came back. The glitch was fixed. (What glitch?) There was a glitch with their texture so they would be literally leaning over and looking you.....creepy.

You can jump to the normal starship from the red mushroom star ship if u get luigi and cloud power ups, backflip somersault for all 3 clouds and then long jump towards the ship, and you'll land there

More of a tip. If you are doing grandmaster perfect, back flips will reset the yellow circle beam generators. And erases any beam generated. Probably because you are to high up for it to trigger the device.
