I owned a Superbird in very early eighties. Even in those days, they were valuable. Buying a six pack bird was still an expensive purchase. The man had some coin to buy these vehicles, even then.
G'day Ryan, What a great story following this incredible collection over a 10 year period. Great work in your persistence, & the owner staying the course & knowing what he wanted & building that barn & living his dream giving this incredible collection the home they deserve & finally driving them. Sorry to hear about your friends passing my condolences he sounded like a great guy. Now you look after yourself waiting for you to come to Australia 🇦🇺. Cheers Louis Kats your number 1 Fan in Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺 👍 🇺🇸
I had the fortune to meet Stan and his wife at the fairgrounds in St. Paul with the blue Yugo/Hemi and her Crosley with the turbo. Very nice people and definitely car people RIP Stan
Theres more these birds/daytonas/500s in barn than road it seems :( But good that these cars get life what they deserve and are running and driving cos cars like when you drive them...
Fredsiegfried - Not the case at all. People collect what they like to collect. In this case he saved these classics in a barn and I can pretty much guarantee you every one of these will be bought out by other collectors and put back on the road or into other collections . These could have been crushed or rusted out years ago but instead they were saved.
@@gaspumprob on another channel I'm having an ongoing conversation with a woman who is an empath healer. I find it interesting. I didn't say I believed in that stuff as a matter of fact as I told her I'd run from that stuff. I can use bigger words but that pretty much gets my point across. But I ran across a Rikki healer. She didn't want to let go of my hand. Some kind of reading or something. A vibe. I guess that happens outside of California as well 🤣🤣🤪
@@gaspumprob you are correct. And when are we going to see you buy one of these? I would love to buy one with the wing. Spending that kind of money isn't on my itinerary
When you get to a certain point in your life. (Age) and you know your not getting any restore do to money. Just sell the lot and be comfortable for the rest of your life.
FUBAR896 Who said vultures? The cars themselves bring much interest because they are highly sought after by collectors. I don’t think anyone will be taking advantage of the unfortunate situation . Just part of the collecting cycle-we buy, we collect, we pass , then the next caretaker comes to take over.
Ryan, I have an episode out this week on our channel highlighting this same collection, in its current condition with many of these cars back in running condition. I mention mid-way through our episode that you first highlighted this collection many years ago. Thanks for sharing this again. None are sitting to rot out. They are actually well preserved and I guarantee you every one of these is going be back on the road in a matter of time. This was a time capsule

I am very sorry about the loss of your friend Stan. The most important part of our hobby is the people we meet along the way.

Some guy collector with all intentions of restoration passes away and gives up his fortune to some vultures...🥺

Arrest somebody for waste
Nice retirement nest egg
All of em just waiting for the barn to fall and be destroyed
Thankfully they are all in a nice new building.

Sad they let these car rot

I could only watch a couple mins, Made me sick, having all those classic cars & not drive them, they'll all rot away, too bad.
You should have stayed to the end. Most are back on the road
