To know where those are used, you need to know what these terms are.. Do you know with what these terms are related to?? If not then then u need to learn that first which are fundamentals of engineering... Then u urself can answer the question or even if I tell u, u can easily understand.

In PDC-4 you haven't added the SDL , maybe that's why the value is slightly different than PDC-3.

Also can this method be more correct if you have 1.5 scale factor (after it is scaled for base shear) for RSX in RSXPDelta and 1 scale factor in load combo. I believe this will give higher deformation. And may be more correct because we want ultimate load factors for PDelta definitions.

1.5 is the partial safety factor defined in IS16700:2017 for P-delta combination and that combination to be used for design. There is no relation between base shear scaling and partial safety factor.

@@ilustraca yeah there isn’t a relationship between FOS and base shear scaling, but we use 1.2 factor for dead and sidl which is FOS inside the PDelta definition, similarly we can use 1.5 also in PDelta definition of RSX-P delta. And to use that we can multiply scale factor by 1.5, that’s what I meant, did you also mean the same ?
