    Sir according to IS 1893-2002 this formula is correct... but if we define RSP Function in 2016..thn this preliminary scale factor should be multiplied by 10, just compare both 2002 vs 2016 graphs of RSP function in ETABS..

    My scale factor is 9806.65 initial
    After analysis
    We get base shear EQX =3230 EQY=2950
    SPECX =4560
    SPECXY=3567
    scale factor not less than 9806.65
    Is it correct 🤔

    Very clear and concise explanation, great!
    I wanted to verify one thing: Do we have to apply any scale factor while defining the load combinations (for RS load combinations) or does the scale factor applied as per this video takes care of it?

      @@ilustraca So we would use the combinations as it is, say for example; 1.2 (DL+LL+EQx) and 1.2(DL+LL+RSx) for IS 456:200 code?

    Suppose I put initial scale factor as 1 irrespective of it unit or anything but at the end I scale up the response spectrum function as per is 1893 with respect to static load case then what will happen bcz my final scale is correct as per is 1893 and design will be according to that scale factor and not by initial one ?what may be the fault in this process?

      Again, to covert the coefficient to Acceleration u need to multiply with g in current unit

    In Response spectrum analysis why beams are failed in Etabs
    I'm try to increase depth and width also but some beam ie 20 % of beams are failed in Etabs any solution Sir.

      what is failing reason? check the beam design summary first

      Not consider Vertical Z ??

      yes.. in critical zones u should take Z direction too
