    greetings sir this video gives me more clarify on designing the structural elements for foundation design do we have to consider critical case among the 3 conditions?

    Sir... Lower and upper bound modifiers to be applied for peripheral wall and podium slab in video.. Even podium level column also need to be apply or not... If no.. Y no need to apply for column sir?

    Sir Upload Multiple Tower Connected With the Same Podium Part 3 and there you please do sensitive Analysis

    According to my understanding... With backstay effect, Tower shear walls at basement Should be idle as podium and it's associations doing resisting work...
    But in video... Am observing even tower shear walls at basement levels also subjecting high Shear force..
    Please correct me if am wrong sir to proceed further on this

    have you considered any releases at backstay floor level?
    coz as per an article online, the tower with podium react as a cantilever and so hinge is produced at main backstay level.

      I've taken backstay as my thesis topic, and have given releases to beams at main backstay level.
      Is it correct way to model ??

      Hinge formation and moment release are not the same thing… Hinge formation happens when the structure shows inelastic deformation… That can be asseses by non-linear analysis… That is not shown here.

    In all three cases modifiers of tower elements will be as per upper and lower bound or will it be the same as given in table 5???

    Did you model the slabs as a rigid diaphragm?

    • @ilustraca

      no…

    Supposed you are designing the structure complying to ASCE 7, where dynamic base shear has to be scaled to match static base shear. Which dynamic base shear do you take in this backstay case? Do you take it at the podium level or at the base level?

    • @ilustraca
      @ilustraca  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The basement shall be designed for static case only considering higher spectral as that part is more stiffer, dynamic base shear of tower shall be scaled separately assuming top of basement as support.

      @@ilustraca so two step analysis then, where you design the tower using response spectrum analysis and the basement using static procedure?
