I mean professionalism differ on several accounts of types of marching bands and concert band. In my state and my region of America, it’s super strange to have anyone in the field to dance. You can obviously see the dedication, it’s special but the drum majors dancing (If that’s what you’re referring to) is not normal especially in DCI where the drum majors are literally just conductors while the band are the ones who do dance along with the amazing color guard.
Ok justin and the other boys are great but c’mon give it up for the girls .. they’re university dance team level . Infact this whole high school team is better than some college teams.
It's just like they always say. In the south it's not about baseball, football, soccer, or any sports. It's about the band, the ladies, and the drummajors. Music is king.
There definitely talented & rhythmic.....but University completely different. Just look up on YT University of Minnesota dance team, their on a professional level of dance. These young ladies either didn’t want a “dancers” life or they didn’t pass auditions for major dance companies.

And I think it’s pretty rude to diss a bunch if high school kids who probably don’t have the advantage of private dance lessons. which typically have to start at a young age and cost a lot of Money to maintain. I’m telling y’all THIS BAND beats college level ! Their HORNS, drum majors and dancers are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥! Vanilla Funk plays a mean trumpet too! These kids are amazing!!! ❤️

My daughter cheered competitively for years and it's so hard to keep that many people in sync especially when they have stripes on their arms, pom poms, colored gloves. When you have those things it looks extra good but every infraction is visible! Guys your great no doubt! These girls are off the hook!!!
This Band Director has a Diamond in his crown with this Band. It took a lot of hard work , love and dedication to get these high school young men and women to this level.

Tuba players will never be without work. If you want to make your living playing an instrument tuba is your choice. My brother was in demand, he never had a hard time finding work all from one day a band teacher needed to find a kid to play the tuba and he happened to be standing there.
Me too! We were 542 strong performed in the Bahamas my sophomore year and Cancun Mexico my senior year. Military marching band with 40 plus years of first division ratings!! But this band gives me chills!;
They really put on a good show. Wonderful musicality, you can tell they all work so hard at the craft of music/dance and love marching band... thats so great well done young folk!

Get down Xavier! I believe that's the young man's name. He's the tallest of all the fellows (just by a little... and is an amazing dancer. His form is so extended when it needs to be; he holds it so well and he's smooth as silk. Never looks like he's working hard. I always say he's a natural born dancer. Oh my! Took his jacket off and I had the name right ... but he's a senior! Won't be able to enjoy his performances for long. I don't assume what his journey will entail, but wonder if some college will benefit from this talented youngster. By the way, all the kids are great and they all do a fantastic job!
He's got accepted to Talladega College! :-) The other two seniors, Dominic and Justin, are going to Jackson State and Alabama State, respectively. Can't wait to see what these young men do at college!!! I'm already big fans of those 3 schools bands. Would have loved to see them at Norfolk or NCAT though.....
These guys and girls are so bloody talented. I am into the 13 video so far lol. The DMs are amazing, they have a really good chemistry and the girls and the musicians are really top of their game. Love from the UK.
For a band to put out this kind of sound so uniformly and with so little numbers it's amazing. Love this band. The next Drummajor is going to have really big shoes to fill once Vanilla Funk graduates. I look forward to seeing what happens.
I admit, I'm here for Vanilla Funk. But the whole band is so tight! The musicians, the cheer girls. I never paid attention to anything in high school. Always ditched the pride marches and meetings. But I can relive those bygone era by watching this incredible team
When I was in High school this is how our Marching band was. Jackson-Olin Mustangs. I love this level of excellence. And this white kids just put the icing on the cake. These kids arw amazing.
I just starting watching the vids from these dedicated young people. So talented, energetic and proud. I hope they are all safe now in these challenging times and pray they can return to this passion of theirs.
