@@postandghost2024 he's playing it down to make it seem like a non-issue. 500m a day is doable with that many accounts, whether that's a max day he's reached or if he gets that every day is questionable

plot twist: the entire bot farm is also sir pugger, the video series, the tweets, etc are all part of an elaborate cover-up.
Tbh the community could just make emblem bot killing clan chats and hunt those botters down. Maybe not the permanent solution, but it should help in the short term.

I do this with my brother, what we do is kill them with accounts i like to call "rune pures", which are 40 attack, 50 strength, 25 pray accounts that just carry a rune 2h. These accounts take about 15 hours to make
This allows us not to have any risk with the prayer protect item and a altar up there, you can even pray superhuman strength and ultimate reflexes
The accounts also have 57 woodcutting to let us use waka canoes, only risking a 2gp iron axe
The bots only eat when the wines would have maximum effect, and 2 of these accounts can easily stack 20, although would be somewhat more consistent with more accounts or higher strength.
I believe the bots programs change when they die a lot to run as soon as they are attacked, so it would be useful to have another couple attacks and stack them for more hp
Furthermore we have a main or 2 up there to hold the money we make, so that we can't use them.
Idk how i feel morally about this but they're bots, so i have no problems, if anyone has any issues just say, and we can talk about them

For all you guys who don't like it, fair enough. But I've spent my fair share of time doing a lot of different things. And killing bots is something i find fun and rewarding.

Thanks dude, I am a F2P (I simply don't play enough to make membership worth it), and I wanted to find a way how to make wilderness fun in here, and this is really nice to know.
As much as I hate bots, I love every single bot that's in wilderness.
If pugger keeps doing this eventually the bots will be perfect.
That would be mean that they are easier to detect.

7 months later that zammy wine bot farm is STILL there. They also have higher lvl accounts (~60 combat) in full rune that show up after you kill a couple of the bots. That plus pk clans will camp there. Best time is to go late night/early morning. Can make like 30-40k per trip (assuming u have a full inven). The bots are usually around cb 25. They also log out VERY quickly so you need to spam click on a tile where the bot potentially may be standing at lol. All F2P btw.

I know it's not in the wilderness but maybe you can find them on PVP worlds also. There are usually hundreds of bots running from the lumbridge bank to the spinning wheel on the second floor. If you close the spinning wheel door and get them in a similar pattern when they leave to go to the bank you shut the spinning wheel room door and open the door right next to it when they come back they'll all run into that room right behind the spinning wheel against the wall and you close the door and they are trapped there literally hours until one of the bot owners checks his program. I've had at least 50 accounts stuck in one spot I don't use pc so I can only see so many names before it disappears off my screen.

That actually makes a lot of sense, not to mention repeating account interaction. How can ironmen sit in level 1 with two friends and boost to a t10 without getting banned? It should be so easy to catch.
They locked anti dragon shields behind qp's essentially because you need a certain amount to do dragon slayer... not too hard for normal players, but annoying to keep doing on a hundred accounts to farm green drags... they need to do the same thing to basically cross the wilderness ditch imo
we have tried this b4 in rs3. just make it so that if you have a emblem in your invi anyone can attack you. we have a few items like that in rs3. im sure the pvp community can work something out as to like lvl 30-40s here 50- 60s here 70-8-s here etc etc.

When a youtuber does more to protect runescape from botting than jagex does in years of osrs.
It's really hard to take care of bots in games. Look at almost any mmo, there is always bots despite their best efforts to combat em.
invisible emblems which can't be seen in game but can be seen thru the code, place them in random trees and simple ban anyone who tries to click on them. There are ways of doing it I know, I've personally miss clicked on an invisible mod once in the wild at random while trying to bank loot from the runenite mining bots.

Jagex needs to hire bot hunters.. They'll give these people fully geared out, specialized accounts, and just send them out on an absolute bot hunting rampage all over the wilderness haha. Or maybe a clan that comes together and goes on mass raids throughout different worlds? Something like that would be really cool.

Referring to the Chaos wine bots. I noticed that some bots with the mage hats attack other bots. Then I noticed whilst standing to the east of the altar that as soon as you spot the mage animation, running in to attack this bot logs during combat?! Does X-Logging work in osrs?! Keep on clapping!
Log into a f2p world on tutorial island. There's thousands of bots passing through every hour. Most get banned right after, but it doesn't even matter. There's also people selling accounts with 7qp. You can't really stop it unless they release a new client. And even then it's a matter of time.
Sadly, there's only one way to get rid of bots. Not making it worth their time and money. Perhaps tackling rwt could be more important than fighting bots.

Just make it you have to be lvl 60cb or higher to participate in bounty hunter. Also have it you can only make 1 tier 10 a day

If you take to camelot teleport and go to a high risk world there is like 100 accounts with the same stats 30 attack 30 str 50 contruction (x) magic level. And they fill buckets of sand i think

Hey i have an idea for the wine bots. MAKE IT SO YOU CANNOT TELEGRAB THE WINES. Before a recent tank in price i have been fighting for the non wilderness wine and it is completely reasonable.
You know if I was to ever make a bot farm. I wouldn't use it for getting gold.
I use it to make synchronized dancing and comedy routines.
A drastic consideration could be made to require hardware mac id for each runescape user. Banning people through this method could work.
I like that. It can still be spoofed but it would be a lot harder. They might have to do some seriously invasive shit with the client to get this to stop and it might break 3rd party clients but honestly it would be worth it at this point.
The issue is these accounts are so easy to make, and the way some farms work are they have an automated backup process. Once accounts get banned they instantly get replaced with new accounts and the person controlling them doesn't have to do anything because the whole process start-finish is automated.
This is how Jagex "fixes" things in a nutshell. They try to make it seem like they are doing something, to calm people down. But in reality it was just a temporary solution.
Ok mr videogame programming professional, how would you fix this? You can't stop people from making new accounts. And all you can do is ban the bot. because for the owner it is literally no problem making another one. It takes less than 60 seconds to make a bot account. And it trains itself, so its not like its wasting the owers time. Any ideas? Or only complaints like everyone else.

When I hunted them, I'd bring Glory and Burning amulet.
Tele with burning to Lava Maze, run to the altar. Kill a bot, switch to members world and tele at lvl 30 to edge
Cemetery teleport would be even faster if you have it unlocked

About a month back I found a bot farm in the singles part of southern rev caves entrance.
Didn’t realize he sped up the clip right away and I was like holy shit he’s putting on the after burners

Those emblem farmers really need to run only tutorial island and waterfall quest bot and they are good to go. Also no way IP ban or any other ban in that case can stop the scripter, or any other measure jagex can take since virtual PCs. All jagex staff can do is monitor the bots until they make crucial mistake either letting personal info leak or just gathering enough information to take action on the services the scripter uses. Jagex has to be discreet in cases like these. If they are about to catch the guy making it, he probably will drop it, cash out and plop out of the community never to be seen again. Or let the script be open to the public and make things dirty (doubt it). That is if it's a script, it could be a rat lab.
there are a bunch of bots, that tele in and out from camelot on members worlds, their are dozens and they all have dust battlestaffs, im not sure what its for but you may be able to figure it out
The bots with the fire staves are from a different owner than the ones you called "Mule bots"
They have the fire staff and mind runes because they attack the other bots untill their mind runes run out

I dont know about killing bots could you imagine how expensive items would be without them like the armadyl god sword, vigoras chain mace and all the rest, they have became essential for players in a way, say we get rid of all the fishing bots and woodcutting/mining bots everything would be worth so much more making it harder to make bank
People would pick up those pieces, or you yourself could do those things and get the exp. No one would loose out on it. I played back in the day when bots weren't nearly as common, and prices weren't that much higher (a lot of things were cheaper).

Jagex has a vested interest in keeping bot farms alive because it makes $11 per month off of each of those bots. I don't see what is so complicated about this.

If he actually makes 500M a day that farm does this. It automatically will create accounts on different ips. He probably also owns his own domain for the email and locks to automatically unlock the accounts if locked. Then it automatically opens each new account does tutorial all the way up to where he has auto trading to train the account to the set stats he wants which it then farms the emblems and sells them for gp. Probably not actually like this but probably close or similar. Someone I know makes 50M a day in f2p suicide botting and it is 99% automated, Except when he trades the gold over to the mule account by hand.
bot killing bots would be a good way to bot as far as i can tell
Idea: use your past ideas to kill bots, but find a new bot farm that hasn't pached these methods to lure them

Bet way to fix this would be to disable emblems for all worlds except pvp worlds and player can only get emblems for specific pvp worlds where it's max wilderness in a certain size zone.
Some big hacker just needs to fry every single bot farming owners computers that way runescape can be safe.
Why would they not ip ban the guy creating all these bots, he’s not going to stop, sure he can use a proxy but it would probably slow him. I don’t understand how he can run 20+ bots at the same time, perhaps he’d need a proxy for each one?

The rest of your comment didn't address the issue. You said, "Why don't they just do this solution that won't work?" I don't think it'd meaningfully slow them down, but it'd risk banning legitimate IPs, such as public internet cafes, college campuses, etc.

The irony. Is that with out bots the GE would actually run dry because ppl now days on RS dont runecraft or mine essense and other tedious things. They just buy it. And lvl up. Back in the day everyone mined. Flaxed. Rubecrafted for 800gp to 1k gp law runes. Essance was 100 a piece. Flax was ez money. Now all anyone does is buy mats to boost lvls as fast as possible and do OP boss drops that give way to many materials for the time it took to even kill said boss. Efficiency truly has ruined alot. No one gets on to hav fun at castle wars or other minigames like they used to.
