haha damn, seriously, I've been sitting here the past 30 minutes watching videos from the Fuel From Life tour and I kept saying to myself; Rob is the only one who can pull off that cheesy slick mullet, but then again, I ADORE the Fuel For life videos. So intense and Rob was on FIRE on that tour. His vocals are so perfect and his high screams could kill. KK's sunglasses is the same kind Kai Hansen had in the I Want Out video. Goes nice with the mullet. What a perfect band.
Antarath Completely agree. Priest has always had great solos but this one's amazing. First time I heard it it blew me away. This song is still my favourite in Turbo due to the solo.

I was at this concert in 1986 in Vancouver Canada. I've been to a lot of concerts in my life and this is still the greatest time I've ever had. Ok, making my son was a bit better. If you were able to get to see this tour you are one of the luckiest people like I was.

Man Rob was light on his feet on tour. Kind like a boxer. Probably more likely aerobics. But he was moving. You could tell he was in top physical condition. I saw this live and it blew me away. Keep in mind the album it was suppporting too! I always have to come back to these every so often.
This was right after he got sober, so it makes sense. As much as I love the early 80s performances, Rob’s energy and voice just weren’t on par with this era.

I was in 8th grade when I saw this tour, I primarily went for Dokken, George lunch was the man, however, I was blow away by Judas Priest and I became a lifelong fan ! What a great band

Despite whatever the critics in that time said about the album Turbo, Look at the audience in this show!! To deeply think if Turbo wasn't a commercial success like what others said, the audience would almost be a shadow. But nevertheless a whole lot of people in the show where going wild and I love Turbo the same as much as with the rest of the other JP albums!!

But it DID turn off more than a few of their fans as well as turning new listeners on to them. I wonder how many of the fans that jumped on board when Turbo came out, that stopped after Ram It Down? Loved that album too, especially the title track, but it they went straight back to their early 80's sound with that one. If Ram It Down didn't do ot, Painkiller probably did! Even took me a little to get used to it, but eventually loved every track off it too!

While 78-82 was my favorite era by far, can't deny that the Fuel for Life tour saw them at the top of their game. Caught this show at the Cap Center in Largo, MD, it was awesome.
Did you see them before that? I saw this tour. It was my first for them and third, after Iron Maiden's Powerslave tour with Twisted Sister, and then Triumph with Helix in my hometown of Guelph Ontario. All those concerts kicked ass!!!
@@briansauer6695 missed the Defenders Tour sadly but I've made up for lost time, I've seen Maiden and Priest untold number of times since late 80s among many others. Saw Priest just this past March, still sound great and caught Maiden in 2019 on the legacy tour a few months before everything got shut down.

Saw Maiden when Bruce came back in '02 with Dio and Motorhead, and Priest every time around after Rob came back. The other day, when I was about to buy Maiden tix for the Hamilton show, I got through on the local radio station to their trivia contest "So You Think You Know Everything There Is To Know About Everything?" where you try to answer 10 questions (you really only need to get through to win), and I won Maiden tix! Saved myself $250! Woohoo! Gonna be a good time this Wednesday! Then it's off to see Accept in Toronto Sunday!
I saw this tour in Toronto when I was 18. My favorite version of Heading Out To The Highway was on this album. To this day, every time I head out on one of my week long motorcycle trips, it's the last song I play before I walk out the door!

I can't say enough about this album because it didn't leave my cassette player for about a year when I first bought it. Before that I was borrowing it from Craig Cross just to learn how the songs were played. I have listened to it for 20 plus years and I've never tired of hearing it. Unleashed in the East is my favorite of theirs and this album is a good example of how much Judas Priest kicked ass during this period. Long live the Metal Gods and if it's too loud you're too old....

The critics are correct! Turbo was most non Priest album ever! This song was good but Turbo was a disservice to true Priest fans.
Well, you have to cconsider that most people filled up arenas because of what they had accomplished before turbo.
