    Great video on this new mask. I do wish they’d add more lights around the upper lip, but I do have the Lip Perfector so I’m covered there. I believe JOV’s Laser 4D mask has four wavelengths. 660, 850, 940 and 1064. Albeit laser versus LED. I’m not positive on the placement of the lights but I believe the longer wavelengths are around the eyes and mouth. The price is also in the $700 range so that’s a tough pill to swallow. I do appreciate the verification of lights that they’re doing.

    I purchased this mask last week due to the extra lights around the top eye/lip area, and deeper led’s, I’m not happy at all with the fit, I must have a small face even if I use the top strap it doesn’t fit to my chin and lower cheeks unless it pulls over my eyes, I have tried all ways, I find it heavy sitting up, I appreciate the extra lights and the technology but it’s heavy and not a good fit for me, I didn’t realise it was non returnable, I contacted Customer service to request a return and they told me, not a happy customer

      Hi Jenn. Thanks for your feedback. I haven't heard of this before and my Series 1 mask is still working years later. I am generally curious if you think device brands should replace devices when they are out of warranty? Were you hoping they would make an exception for you? Where do you think businesses should draw the line - within the terms of the warranty, or outside the terms for certain cases? If so, then what is the point of having a warranty? I hear about this a lot and I wonder how it would work if brands start making exceptions. It's a slippery slope and I'd love to hear your feedback so I can better understand your perspective.

      @@beautybeyond40 My lights began to flicker so to use I had to squeeze hard where the wire connects to the mask. I didn’t contact Currentbody as I doubted they’d help out of warranty and googling confirmed others in the same position. I hadn’t used my mask that much in the 2yrs and feel it likely had plenty of life left otherwise (battery/LEDs fine). For a premium priced product I’d expect longevity. In future I’ll pay attention to warranty and aftercare policies. Perhaps where known faults occur then low-cost repairs could be offered out of warranty? This would help with brand reputation

      @@beautybeyond40 I think if it is a common issue, companies should absolutely honor fixing the problem. I know that ZIIP does that. I have a mask (not currentbody) that I have taken extremely good care of, and after 6 months, the wire is coming loose at a connection point, so that the LED flashes on and off and I have to carefully hold it. I feel like because this is not a consumable, and it is an investment... companies should consider the nature of the malfunction and honor it if they can clearly tell it is not from misusing their device. Plus, customer service these days can make or break a company in so many ways. I think loyalty is extremely valuable for a company. Just my opinion.

    • @beautybeyond40
      @beautybeyond40  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      The new Current Body mask is very different from all the other devices you listed. All of those are included in my original LED device comparison video in case you missed and want to check the specs: th-cam.com/video/vyYDIeAU-A0/w-d-xo.html. The Dennis Gross mask is different because it has blue lights, does not have nearly the same surface area/coverage (no under the chin, not as much coverage near the jawline, not as much coverage around the eyes, etc) which you can see by looking at both masks. Dr. Dennis Gross has 100 red lights while the new Current Body one has 236. A panel is very different because people like to use those to treat more of their body and don't need the flexibility to walk around. There are so many panels with many different features, and you can see the specs in my video i linked to above. The only one not on that is the new Maysama pulsed LED panel with red and NIR - and you can turn off the NIR and pulsing if you want. The Dermalux panel has red, blue and NIR and is flexible so you can use it all over your body for various skin issues and pain management. They are all very different and priced very differently as well. It all depends on what you are trying to treat and where you're trying to treat it. This new Current Body series 2 mask is a powerful new mask for anti-aging that I recommend to anyone looking for a red+NIR solution.

      @@beautybeyond40 why would you want to turn near infrared off? I'm thinking the new mask is way superior to the Dr Dennis for anti ageing...maybe even the Dermalux due to the number of lights.... may be time for a new mask!

      @beautybeyond40  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@kirstybreen1295 Many people say that NIR causes hyperpigmentation or melasma flare ups and so they never use NIR. I haven't found this to be the case for my skin. I talk about this a lot in my LED videos since it is a very top FAQ. The Dr. Dennis Gross mask takes 3 minutes. The Dermalux one is a panel you sit underneath for 20-30 minutes depending on the treatment. If you have the time and money, it's a great device - but only if you use it.

    • @beautybeyond40
      @beautybeyond40  8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      They are currently both my top 2 masks right now. They have very different features. One has pulsed light where the other one doesn’t. One has red blue and NIR which you can turn on and off as you wish. The other only has red and NIR which you cannot control. The current body has deep red in specific areas around the face - and it has the chin strap whereas Maysama doesn’t, while Maysama covers the entire lip area, so it depends on which areas of your face you’re most concerned with. if you’re worried about hyperpigmentation and melasma flaring from NIR, then the current body probably isn’t the best choice for you. If you suffer from any type of acne on your face, then the maysama would be a better choice for you. They both have different treatment times as well. I think I’ll make a quick video about this because I keep getting asked and it’s a valid question - but I can’t make the decision for you because you’ll need to weigh all the features against each other to see which is the best fit for you and your specific skin concerns

The Current Body series 2 is really soft and flexible, much more so than the Higher Dose one. The only issue here is that I don't have any discomfort from wearing the higher dose one, but I can see how it might hurt because of the extra plastic that is not soft in that area. @@janb9668 Pulsed light doesn't do deeper. It's the wavelengths that determine the depth. Pulsed light optimizes the results of the treatment. I recommend watching my Maysama video with the founder Bev, which is on my channel, and then rewatching this new Current Body video - then going with your gut about which device you want to get based on your skincare goals. Both masks are fabulous and if you use them, they will work.

    Thanks for your explanation! Is this mask warm like the first? I have olive skin tone and heat promotes dark spots/ hyperpigmentation. I would so love to use a led mask😀

      I use the first mask and I don't find it to be warm at all. What you should be aware of are the masks with blue wave lengths that can promote dark spots and melasma.

      I don't find this mask or the old mask to be warm at all. It is the NIR that flares pigment for some people, but now people are saying blue flares pigment for them. I use all 3 wavelengths, have terrible melasma and pigment, and haven't found any of them to flare my melasma after years of testing.

      Where are you seeing this about blue light? Has it happened to you? People used to say only NIR was flaring their pigment. I'm trying to figure out why blue is now the new culprit. I have awful melasma and haven't found red, NIR, or blue to flare my pigment so I'm trying to find someone who saw blue flare their pigment to get more info on this topic.

      @@MyDany999 there are little eye inserts that I showed in this video if you wanted to watch that part again. I don’t use them. Red light has been shown in recent studies to help eye health, so it should be no problem for your eyes with this specific mask. There are some panels that are much brighter (like the maysama pulsed light panel) with which I do use goggles as directed. I always follow each device manual. I get my eyes checked every year by the eye doctor to make sure they’re still healthy from using LED and they’re fine. It’s the kind of information you were hoping for?

    The Lumara Led Mask has so many more LEDs in the mask. It's a shame that this one from Currentbody has such big gaps between the lamps. 🥺

      This mask has a warranty that lasts longer than eight months, so why haven’t you contacted the company to get it replaced?
