So acne can most definitely be an issue for older women like me. I'm almost 50 and still deal with it. I assume you don't have melasma either? You hit the skincare lottery!

I am not familiar with this brand nor any of its devices, so I cannot recommend it. I would continue to recommend Current Body Series 2 since they at least have the Veritace certification to quality check all the wavelengths so you know what you're buying.

Hello Trina, I just found your channel and subscribe it. In general which led mask on the market is the best for men, and especially wrinkles around the eyes? Thank you in advance!
I have it too. It’s such a good one for a 3 minute treatment. I haven’t been using it much lately though because the coverage isn’t nearly as good as these other two masks, but it definitely works.
Great video and information!! Is there any pressure on nosebridge with either mask? I have a Omnilux mask and it hurts on my nosebridge so I have lift mask from bottom up to release pressure on my nose while it's on.
Thank you Trina! Can you please detail how you incorporate both masks into your routine? For example, do you use one mask for a week and then alternate the other mask the next week? Or maybe 3 days of one and 3 days of the other? Thank you!
Hi I’m new to your channel and found this video very helpful! What would you say was better the mask or panel? I’m leaning to the Maysama for the same reasons of congestion on my face. So between her mask and panel. I don’t know enough about them to know which gives you the most bang for your buck. I’d appreciate any suggestions.
Great video! Thank you Trina. Just found your channel. Have been researching masks and panels for quite awhile. I’ve decided on a mask because I think I can also lay it down on an area of pain such as my knee or elbow, hypothetically. I was just looking at one that Dr. Abs was recommending and it looked quite good, it’s the Stylpro wavelength led face mask. I believe it is new to the market and his interview with the creator states that it is the strongest. It is made in England and not readily available in the U. S. yet but it can be purchased and I believe it is coming to Amazon. I did notice that there were no led’s above the lips though, something I hadn’t thought of before. I don’t smoke but do see some tiny lines, I don’t get fillers and my skin does not like retinols, but I do have nice skin. I noticed the Mayama has the full lip covered. Might be a good option. I don’t see your code to make a purchase to buy it, maybe I missed.
The links and codes are always listed in my video descriptions. I will copy and paste it hereL "✔ SHOP MAYSAMA and use code TRINA10 Prana LED Mask: go.shopmy.us/p-6712378 Chin2Chest Device: go.shopmy.us/p-8751219 Head2Heart Set: go.shopmy.us/p-8751233" But it's black friday now, so you can shop the better deals going on listed on my black friday page: www.beautybeyond.com/blackfriday

Right now I’m actually doing a dedicated test using the current body series 2 to see if it flares my melasma 🤞. I have no regular schedule and it’s random so whatever I feel like using that day. Sometimes I’ll use my blue mode on maysama if I see or feel an acne flareup coming in for example.
it doesn’t matter to me since I worked in China for 25 years and I know pretty well how everything go! CB designed in UK , Made in China. Easy to read in the box ! Looked at mine former model. But I don’t own the other (maysama?). I checked once because thrilled of flashing mode, but I do believe that they don’t ship to Italy! xo
I am confused because the owner of the Maysama mask said on another TH-camr channel that the near infrared option should be for people with dark skin and melasma concerns and the red light option for lighter skin tone. She spoke about the option to select one over the other or use both options. You said that you have heard people say that near infrared is making their melasma worse. I have melasma and I am so scared to use one of this mask.
Everyone is different so there is no way to know what will happen when you use NIR on your skin. I personally have really bad melasma and get regular Cosmelan peels to keep it under control. I have used blue and NIR light for years and years with no issues. I have tested the new Current Body Series 2 LED mask with NIR for about a month now and I have not seen any pigment flare up. But because some people say they do see pigment flare ups, I wanted to mention it in my video. If you are scared to use NIR, then get the Maysama mask and don't use NIR mode. That is the solution I suggested in this video. You will never know for sure unless you test NIR on your own skin. I would try to find someone who saw actual pigment flare up on their skin from NIR and ask them about it - so far I haven't been able to find anyone to tell me about a personal experience.
I don’t have a mask by irestore illumina. I didn’t know hooga had a new mask. The only JOVS mask I have is the 4d laser mask and I was not impressed with results and it doesn’t cover the eye area. Thanks for the suggestions, but I have to be careful about not reviewing too many LED masks as there seem to be a new one launching every single week and my audience can get overwhelmed and fatigued with the review of too many masks, so I’m very careful to review only the best ones (in my opinion) that I have access to. From looking at the website, can you see if the irestore and hooga ones have clinical studies? You can look at the specs of those masks online as well to compare them?
I don't have rosacea, but red light helps with rosacea and anti-aging, so any mask I recommend on my channel that includes red light should be a good option
Do you mean besides the 2 I feature in this video? If yes, then you can see the ones I own and recommend on my website: www.beautybeyond.com/shop I own more than this, but I don't recommend them all, so it's an important distinction.
Yes, the current Black Friday codes are on my Black Friday page. That’s the best pace to check during Black Friday and cyber Monday.: beautybeyond.com/blackfriday. I’ll update this video description with this link
I ordered this currentbody LED mask series 2 after seeing all the great reviews and promotions, but unfortunately, my experience has been very different. The light intensity is way too high, even with the eye protection (which does nothing but feel uncomfortable), causing discomfort and even pain in my eyes. It's not safe for me to use, and the customer service has been unhelpful, like they dont want to help me. Returning it will also cost you money! I expected much more from a product marketed as safe and effective. Be cautious if you're thinking about buying!
Sorry to hear this! I don’t have any issues with my eyes using this mask. Maybe you can sell it in a buy/sell/trade group and use the money to get a different mask?
Thank you for this comparison! It was so helpful. My Omnilux just quit working so I’m in the market for a new mask. These are my top two choices. I’m leaning toward the Maysama because of the lights at the mouth area plus the pulsed light. Also, I feel like I’d much rather just charge a battery pack instead of the entire mask. I feel like having that battery pack hang from the mask may cause issues with cord at some point. I also like that the Maysama is cheaper🙂
Pues tienes razón,pero échale un ojo en su web,al artículo de 30 de septiembre en su blog, habla de l protocolo para Pieles claras y oscuras con melasma
Hi, I’m not sure if you’re gonna see this question but I do have one additional question that I don’t think was covered. And that is do you have any knowledge or understanding of how red light therapy or the different frequencies might impact (positively or negatively) people with deeper skintones?
I’m not sure but I googled here and here is what it says : “Yes, red light therapy can be used on darker skin tones, but you should consult a dermatologist first: * Sensitivity People with darker skin tones are more sensitive to visible light, like red light, than people with lighter skin tones. This can lead to hyperpigmentation, and the dark spots can be more intense and long-lasting. * Research The long-term effects of red light therapy on darker skin tones are unknown, and more research is needed. * Safety Red light therapy is generally safe for all skin tones, but people with sensitive skin or a history of photosensitivity should consult a dermatologist first.” I recommend looking at each brand’s FAQs or asking their customer service directly to see what they say about each specific mask. I think going straight to the source is the best thing for you to do.
Probably maysama since I don't need the under chin coverage and don't need the higher wavelengths right now, and want blue, pulsed, and lips coverage, but that's MY face/chin/lips and not yours, so I would not go by what I would do.
I was leaning towards the Current Body because I am noticing aging around- more under my eyes and around my mouth- where CB has that concentration of the deeper lights that you mentioned. It would still address the lip lines around your lips but just not your actual lips- is that correct? (The Current Body) thanks I have a Mito Panel that I enjoy sitting in front of almost every day but feel maybe the mask being so much closer to my face might help more with anti-aging under the eyes and the little lines you get with expressions around the lips.
I’m not sure as I don’t think they list any Fitzpatrick scale information on either website. You could reach out to the brand directly to ask? Or it might be better to ask your dermatologist directly because I don’t know the answer to this question.
@@midlifemom5829 I am testing the new current body series 2 mask now to see if it flares my melasma. It hasn't yet after a week so far. I'll keep everyone updated and plan to test it for a whole month
Using it more than 3 days a week will slowly decrease the results. The skin adapts and doesn't give same results. There are some studies that show that. Good idea to make breaks sometimes.
I have never heard this and I have always used LED for almost every day for years and years and years now and haven’t seen any decreased results. Where did you read this? Is there a clinical study somewhere? Can you please provide the link?
I’ve been thinking about what new device to treat myself to on Black Friday. The Nira Pro or a red light mask. I have been using a red light panel for years and am not sure whether to try one of the masks you have talked about or get the Nira which is a different technology. I love my red light and don’t know if using a mask would be even more effective than a panel. Do you think a mask is better than a panel? I use my panel almost everyday for ten minutes 😊and put a green tea toner and the original Maysama serum on my skin for 20 minutes before using it.
Hi. I know it is a tough choice. No I don’t think a panel is more or less better than a mask. If you’re consistent using it, I’m sure it works great. I like that with a panel, you can get extra benefits on potentially your hairline and your neck and chest, depending on how you’re sitting in front of it. I like to use a mask because I’m too impatient to sit in front of a panel. I think you should go for the NIRA Pro and just use it on areas you want to target the most, and track your results. If it doesn’t work for you within 90 days, you can return it and get something else.
From what I understand, the Omnilux men’s mask has 1072 nm in ALL the LEDs, instead of just specific ones like the current body mask. Per the website, Omnilux men’s has: 633nm (red) 830nm (near-infrared) 1072nm (near-infrared) It also no chin coverage and fewer LEDs.
I’m 65 and generally my skin is very good for my age. I’ve always taken care of my skin but neglected my neck so with age this has become a problem for me. My problem is a saggy crepy neck and I have started to get jowls. I was ready to purchase the current body series 2 because of the chin coverage and also buy the neck and décolletage to address my neck concerns. Now I’m confused as the Current Body has a lot of good recommendations and features in lots of magazine top picks and the maysama mask is newer and so less reviews and recommendations. I’m not sure about the pulsing lights as this is new and haven’t seen dermatologist reviews of this feature. I am now thinking of going with the Current Body series 2 mask as it’s been very well reviewed and going for the Maysama neck, chin and décolletage as I think it may work better for my neck and crepy skin as it has more lights. It would also give me the opportunity to try the pulsing lights to see if it’s more effective. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated 😊
Not that I know of. When you’re using red and near infrared light, you’re stimulating new collagen and elastin production, which decreases significantly as we age, so you need to keep stimulating new collagen and elastin so I can’t imagine you would reach some kind of plateau because you’re always depleting collagen and elastin.
Many people have been commenting this lately, but I have been using blue light for years and years and years with my melasma, and I’ve never seen it flare my pigment. I thought it was NIR that was a culprit, which also doesn’t flare my pigment. I think it’s on an individual basis and there isn’t a blanket statement for everyone. Everyone seems to be very different related to this topic. I swear by using blue light to keep my acne at bay and have never seen pigment flare from it over the years.
That is a new trend I've been seeing people comment about. I have never had any issues with blue light over the many many years I've been using it - and I have really persistent hyperpigmentation and melasma. It feels like people just start believing what they see online and start saying it too without testing it? I asked Facebook community about pigment flareups and I got zero responses from over 30,000 people so my advice would be to do what works for you. Blue and NIR and red all work for me - they help my pigment, so that's what I'm doing moving forward unless my latest NIR test shows any pigment flareups, which it has not yet in almost 3 weeks of almost daily use. People can talk about anything they want, but I always find the best thing to do is test it out myself.
Will not buy current body because of their customer service and the unattacheable battery - it will brake in 2 years and i will only be able to throw the mask away
Do you mean break? Did you see the section of the video where I talked about addressing how you can make the cords more sturdy? I think this is a risk for any corded LED mask.
@@beautybeyond40 My Current Body mask is not able to charge. I use a panel daily and I bought the Current Body mask for traveling. I used it for less than a week and put it way until I was ready to travel with it. When I took it out it was not able to charge. I would continue to recommend Current Body Series 2 since they at least have the Veritace certification to quality check all the wavelengths so you know what you're buying.
@@beautybeyond40thank you, Trina. You are truly asset ❤
Thank u for this comparison! Ive watched so many review videos but am so concerned it will exacerbate my melasma, i have deep tan skin. Thank you for pointing out the controller for deep red
Thanks for this Trina.
The irradiance is the key factor.
Wish there was a chin strap for the Maysama mask.
Glad to help!!!
No entiendo. En el Block de Maysama hay un artículo, el último, que dice q las personas con melasma mejor evitar el rojo,NO el infrarrojo...y tu dices lo contrario ,quien tiene razón?????
@@bitxi5738 I'm not sure to which article you are referring, but I interviewed the founder of Maysama on my channel and she spoke directly about NIR and melasma. If it were red that flared melasma, then you wouldn't be able to use any LED mask I have in my collection! You certainly wouldn't be able to use the Maysama or Current Body ones. Hello Trina, I just found your channel and subscribe it. In general which led mask on the market is the best for men, and especially wrinkles around the eyes? Thank you in advance!
Very helpful , thank you
Great video ❤
I have and use the Dr Dennis Gross LED mask.😊
I have it too. It’s such a good one for a 3 minute treatment. I haven’t been using it much lately though because the coverage isn’t nearly as good as these other two masks, but it definitely works.
Just got the Current Body mask
Great video
I hope you love it!!
Thank you!
It doesn’t matter at all and it’s totally up to you. I don’t have a set schedule at all. I just do it randomly based on what I want to do that day.
@@beautybeyond40 Thank you for your answer!
Bev from Maysama and I talk about mask vs. panel in this video: th-cam.com/video/Mjp7siROAfQ/w-d-xo.html
I’m getting current body
Thanks for all the research. Can you wear it on your head like a hat (Capillus style)?
I don’t see why not, but I’ve never tried that
What is the best device to prevent crepey neck? Is it a Led neck device?
I don’t see your code to make a purchase to buy it, maybe I missed.

hmm i'd like blue light as an option, but i probably need the one with the chin strap the most.
It can be so hard to choose 😳
Excellent review
Thank you!
I have both masks and use each one on alternate days! I wanted to ask which radio frequency device out of the nebulyft N1 or the tripollar envig edge you think works better for results?? Im 50, and i want to firm and lift my jowels and other areas so which one would you purchase??
Envig edge for sure!!
Have you reviewed the Shark CryoGlo?
I have not heard of this one before
How do you split up the use between the two masks? Do you alternate between them?
Right now I’m actually doing a dedicated test using the current body series 2 to see if it flares my melasma 🤞. I have no regular schedule and it’s random so whatever I feel like using that day. Sometimes I’ll use my blue mode on maysama if I see or feel an acne flareup coming in for example.
Thanks! Where they’re made?
I have no idea. Nobody ever asked me that. You could check the website or ask each brand ?

@@allegra1952let us know what you find out! Does this matter to you? I’m wondering if it matters to others as well.
it doesn’t matter to me since I worked in China for 25 years and I know pretty well how everything go! CB designed in UK , Made in China. Easy to read in the box ! Looked at mine former model. But I don’t own the other (maysama?). I checked once because thrilled of flashing mode, but I do believe that they don’t ship to Italy! xo
@@allegra1952 I'm pretty sure Maysama ship to all of Europe
This helps make my decisions
Great! Which one are you going for? Or neither?
so what did you decide and why? Thank you
I am confused because the owner of the Maysama mask said on another TH-camr channel that the near infrared option should be for people with dark skin and melasma concerns and the red light option for lighter skin tone.
Please review the new mask by irestore illumina and the jovvs
Jovs has pulsed light as does the new hooga mask.
Hello, do you recommend a LED face mask specifically for Rosacea and Anti-aging?
I don't have rosacea, but red light helps with rosacea and anti-aging, so any mask I recommend on my channel that includes red light should be a good option
Which led mask do you own
Do you mean besides the 2 I feature in this video? If yes, then you can see the ones I own and recommend on my website: www.beautybeyond.com/shop I own more than this, but I don't recommend them all, so it's an important distinction.
The 10% discount code TRINA does not work for the Currentbody Led Face mask series 2. Do you have a different code that works? Thanks!
Yes, the current Black Friday codes are on my Black Friday page. That’s the best pace to check during Black Friday and cyber Monday.: beautybeyond.com/blackfriday. I’ll update this video description with this link
Try this code for 20% off & see if it is still active. Use all caps when you type it in. The code is: WAYNEBF
Go with your instincts. The Maysama mask is great and I love mine so much!
I’m not sure but I googled here and here is what it says : “Yes, red light therapy can be used on darker skin tones, but you should consult a dermatologist first:
* Sensitivity People with darker skin tones are more sensitive to visible light, like red light, than people with lighter skin tones. This can lead to hyperpigmentation, and the dark spots can be more intense and long-lasting.
* Research The long-term effects of red light therapy on darker skin tones are unknown, and more research is needed.
* Safety Red light therapy is generally safe for all skin tones, but people with sensitive skin or a history of photosensitivity should consult a dermatologist first.”
I recommend looking at each brand’s FAQs or asking their customer service directly to see what they say about each specific mask. I think going straight to the source is the best thing for you to do.
@@beautybeyond40 Thank you so much! I so appreciate your thorough response.
If you could only pick one, which one would you pick personally?? I’m leaning towards the current body except I want my lips covered.
@@Loralarify Correct. The Current Body mask does not cover the lips.

Hi, which mask is better for darker skin?
I’m not sure as I don’t think they list any Fitzpatrick scale information on either website. You could reach out to the brand directly to ask? Or it might be better to ask your dermatologist directly because I don’t know the answer to this question.
@@beautybeyond40 thank you no worries. Appreciate you getting back to me
I am curious too. This is an "investment " for me and i have melasma. Im not willing to invest if there is chance to make my melasma worse

Is the 1072 Depth a problem for someone prone to HP..?
What is HP?
Hyperpigmentation
Can it cause you to get dark spots on your face
No. It's supposed to do the exact opposite. Both masks have helped my pigment personally and I haven't any pigment flare.
The currentbody is a lot more money. I have the Omnilux mask almost 2 years now.
I don’t care about my lips, but around my lips is aging quickly! Go with maysama?
If lips are important to you, then yes
How does the current body vs omnilux mens compare?
From what I understand, the Omnilux men’s mask has 1072 nm in ALL the LEDs, instead of just specific ones like the current body mask. Per the website, Omnilux men’s has:
633nm (red)
830nm (near-infrared)
1072nm (near-infrared)
It also no chin coverage and fewer LEDs.
I would go for CURRENTBODY. A lot of makeup artists use CURRENTBODY to prep actors' faces and I own four devices from that company, very good quality
❤❤❤❤❤
Is there evidence to show that yoir skin adapts to red light so you need to take breaks in between?
Not that I know of. When you’re using red and near infrared light, you’re stimulating new collagen and elastin production, which decreases significantly as we age, so you need to keep stimulating new collagen and elastin so I can’t imagine you would reach some kind of plateau because you’re always depleting collagen and elastin.
Blue light is good for acne but is the worst for melasma.
I thought it was the Blue light that was bad for dark spots??
I got maysama with a code plus a serum for just under $300
