    I own a KC-600. This thing is a beast! All you need for gigging. Heavy but well worth it. We call it PA in a box. Great piece

    Hello again. Just thought I would give you a follow up. The one I got was actually the kc-350 100w. Otherwise the same thing. Used for 400$ plus tax. I think the previous owner unboxed it, and sold it. It is in literal MINT condition. Anyways, I love it. The organ sounds warmer. The range of odd sounds from the synth comes through crystal clear. And it pumps out the bass guitar as well as any bass amp. Thanks again for the reply before! Peace :)

    Hope this is too far out there where nobody else will see it but you can pick these Amps up from a bunch of places at a great price! Best place to find them at a deal are churches and they are usually in awesome condition with minor wear. I am gonna replace the carpet on my KC-500 with some tolex to match my other amps!

    I love these amps for bass guitar, even more than a bass amp. They are sterile and I love it

    Okay, the last comment came through almost two years ago, so here goes: How do you think this would work with a jazz guitar hollow body? Just got a Glen Burton GE-775 "Chicago" guitar, and am in need of a decent amp to match it. We have one at work that has been collecting dust over the last 5-6 years since I've been there, and I can buy it cheap. Your thoughts?

    So what's the difference between the KC-500 and the KC-550? I've got a KC-350 running bi-amped with the [now discontinued] Roland KCW-1 powered sub-woofer cabinet....and it's one awesome rig! What's more, each of the combo amps is light enough to be moved by one person; and it's a big plus in my books! It's a great "mini-stack"!!

      Wattage. KC-500 is 150 watts and the KC-550 is 180 watts.

      also the kc-550 has 1 xlr input. I have the 500. had it since 2001, I run my 5 string bass though it along with keyboards once in a while for short practice. you really can't go wrong with one of these units.

      I never played through- or even owned a KC-500 (or a KC-550) for that matter; but I know what you're saying and I agree with you... ;) My impression is that the KC-550 is similar sounding to what I have (KC-350) ...only a little louder!

    Hello. So I have one of these (KC-500) I was wondering how you link 2 of these together. Thinking of getting another one for a stereo sound. I was going to use it for my Roland TD-10 drums. Or should I get something else?

      I've been using two KC-500's connected in stereo for my TD-8 Roland drums. The amps work terrific with more power than one should ever need. Have played outdoor gigs using the KC's as my monitors and lining-out to the PA. Have used these amps since I purchased the drums. Have never had a problem with either the drums or the amps and I bought them 19 years ago. They are linked for stereo using "one" single cable.

    Hey man, I play keys, synth and bass guitar. My local music store has this amp used for $400. Good buy for me? Will it handle bass?

    • @DarylWiseJr
      @DarylWiseJr  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. This is a 150 W keyboard amplifier. It produces thunderous bass, And will be great for you.

    Did you ever make a video testing the sound of this amp?

    • @DarylWiseJr
      @DarylWiseJr  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      No because after a quick thought, a video like that would be useless. You'd be hearing the sound through a microphone which has a character and sound quality of it's own. And you can't base the sound quality of an amp off of what a microphone hears. By the time the sound from the amp goes to the microphone, then to you and your phone speakers or computer speakers, the sound has already been modified. So there is no way to get a direct raw sound without hearing this amp with your own ears to judge it's quality. However, I still use this amp and it sounds great to me.

    Can you use this for singing?

    • @DarylWiseJr
      @DarylWiseJr  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Keona Jordan Yes. As long as the mic either has a 1/4 inch jack or an XLR jack, just plug it into the amp and sing! You will probably have to adjust the EQ so that you sound crisp and clear.

      Quite adequate for vocals. For small gigs this amp is perfect. Best money I have spent in a while
